Global Awakening: Monster Taming Necromancer

Chapter 80: Surrender?

Arin proved that he could also adapt to situations like this by making a reflection, the golden reflection faced the wolf energy while he met Kaidos with his sword.

They began to fight with swords again, both locked in a way that they couldn't use expansive techniques so close to each other because they were not giving each other space to draw back.

"You are a rabid dog!" Kaidos growled. He thought this was something he would finish quickly, but the GUV brat was surprisingly capable, still, this wasn't the first time he had found himself in a situation like this.

The thing about the blood technique for Kaidos is that he was able to copy others' techniques of martial arts, and if he should burn a life force, then he'd be able to do much more.

"That's it! I've had more than enough of your shit!" Once their sword met again, Kaidos melted part of his sword, and the blood ran down Arin's own and dripped onto the floor, freezing it in place.

He cut forward immediately and his sword, blazing with the light of life force, nearly took off Arin's head. Instead, he cut the tip of his ear off.

Arin hissed as he touched his ears; if he hadn't left his sword behind, then his head would have been cut off. He blinked as his right ear began to bleed more than it should. "What is this? Why am I bleeding as if it was my neck that was cut off?"

"Finally. There's nothing you can do now that I've cut.....!!" Kaidos's eyes widen at what he saw.

Arin stood still and directed all his energy towards his ear. It burned and hissed, but it stopped bleeding immediately. He looked up with a smirk. "You are saying something about this? Have you forgotten that your powers and mine are contradictory?"

"You have some kind of holy magic in your power!" Kaidos was accused as if he should have been told beforehand or his opponent was cheating.

Then he smiled. "But maybe you shouldn't have let me gain this distance. You see, I lie and cheat, and I steal a lot! Let me tell you something: this life force that I stole is very diverse in its workings. They are the closest to pure mama as you can get, which means they are good for copying techniques.

"See, I saw a technique from the Sword Saint. It's called the windless slash." Kaidos straightened his legs and bent a little, his right leg forward.

Arin smirked. "Which of the sword saints?" As a martial artist and swordsman, he has heard a lot of people name themselves sword saints.

Arin paused. "Come to think of it, I can't remember his name but I don't forget his technique."

"A cheap ripoff won't work on me." Arin shook his head as if to the foolishness of his opponent.

But Kaidos wasn't bothered. "Then let's see." He pointed his sword forward with his left hand, then he raised his right hand and gathered the life force there; he began to twist his hand fast, left then right until he created a blur.

"Windless slash!" He brought his rolling hand and slammed it into the heilt of his sword. A whirlwind followed that spun with red energy, it rose and closed the distance in a flash.

Arin brought up his sword into a defensive position too late and the technique swallowed his whole.

Jael flinched. "What the.....??"

Temur watched, unmoving; he finally grunted. "That's what I'm lacking! A technique that will extract absolute power from minimal movement. What I won't give to see the real thing, but even this cheap knockoff is a sight to behold."

"Maybe it's because all your techniques are still Iron rank," Litha rolled her eyes. "You heard when he said he copied a sword saint right?"

The floor from Kaidos to where Arin was now standing had been ripped apart; it was marked by a large gouging line with countless sword marks.

"How do you like that Knight of the GUV?!"

Arin wasn't a pretty sight, his sword lay broken and shattered– it took the most from the attack. His armor has been destroyed, twisted, and beaten; even the golden glow from his body has lessened.

He winced, blood coming from his nose and mouth. He looked behind him and was surprised that his teams had collapsed from the backlash. "I lost this round. I surrender." He dropped the remaining sword.

Kaidos laughed. "You surrender? What's that to me? I'm going to kill you either way. Do you think I will let you leave when you surrender? Is this some kind of joke?"

He began to walk towards the fallen knight.

Arin raised and pointed a trembling finger. "You don't want to kill me. My spirit has been imprinted, and when I die, I'll be recorded back at HQ. How I die and what led to it."

Kaidos paused. He had heard something like this before and it was why a lot of people usually leave guide members alone. But. "It's only for high-ranking members; you are a new member. You can't have been imprinted."

Arin shook his head and pointed backward. "Maybe not those guys but I'm important in GUV. You see that technique I use right? That means I have massive potential and they are not taking any chances. Imprinting is also a safeguard, so I won't run away, you know."

Kaidos gritted his teeth. He had gone all out because he wanted to kill the guy, and now he would be denied even that? His hand tightened on his weapon. Should he just kill him anyway, and fuck the consequences?

But his master is going to flip if he learns about it...especially since they won't be able the full force of their organization against the GUV.

Killing the Knight now would mean being hunted throughout the Tower by the GUV. What should he do? To kill or not to kill, that is the question!
