Global Awakening: Apocalypse Ender's Chronicle

Chapter 257: Status

Michael's team had a maximum of 300 to 400 Spirit Points thanks to the various potions and rewards they obtained from the system and Treasure Chests.

They actually had decent luck with regards to obtaining Bronze to Silver Treasure Chest and obtained rewards that could increase their overall strength.

Anyway, this number of Spirit Points was already considered quite a lot, so they were able to kill several Zombies and Survivors alike.

However, they had already used most of their Spirit Points against the Crusher Zombies.

Because of that, they had limited skills or weapon skills they could use against Shane.

'Are they stupid?' Shane couldn't help but think of this as he realized that these people were too much in a hurry to court death. They didn't even think of recovering first before finding an opportunity to kill him.

It could be said that they were too obvious… They easily assumed that his guard was off which was a big mistake!

Without a word, Shane moved to protect himself and eliminate the four!

He didn't even have to use his firearms for this!

He simply used his overwhelming movement speed and precise Axe Master as he swiftly decapitated each member of the group without any wasted movement!

Despite their combined efforts and the 'element of surprise' on their side, they stood no chance against Shane's overwhelming speed and strength!

Thud! Thud!

[ You have eliminated a human survivor. ]

[ You have eliminated a human survivor. ]

Just like that, Shane killed four humans without any mercy. At this time, he was no longer bothered at their deaths since he already absorbed nine memory spheres containing brutal actions he had done in the past.

It was especially the case during his first Apocalypse, where he couldn't really trust anyone to stand behind him.

Right now, however, he already had the strength enough to test the people he was meeting whether they could betray him or not if a 'perfect' opportunity had appeared.

Anyway, Shane continued with his looting session with the Crusher Zombies and he indeed used his Loot Keeper's Timepiece this time.

[ You have earned 20 Experience Points. ]

[ Loots obtained: Item Upgrade Crystal x2, Zombie Core x2, 500mL Water, Unknown Meat ( Safe ), 100mL Crusher Blood, Bonecrusher Bladex1 ] x5

Just like that, he obtained five Bone Crusher Blades!

Shane then quickly checked these items.

[ Bonecrusher Blade ( Rare ): A sword crafted from the sharpened bones of a Crusher Zombie, designed to slice through enemies while retaining the crushing force of its origins.

Effects: Knockback +20%, Bleeding Damage +20%, Crush Rate +10%, Strength +2 ]

'There's even two additional Strength…' Shane muttered as he quickly checked his Status.

Strength: 402 ( +2 )

Seeing this, Shane realized that the effect wasn't stackable. Since he was holding five swords, he thought he could get 10 additional strength.

Anyway, he wasn't too disappointed about this since it made sense that it wouldn't work like that.

Then, he continued to loot the other Crusher Zombies and obtained various weapons from them! Indeed, all of the items he looted were weapons except for the first one that gave him gloves!

[ Crushbone Club ( Uncommon ): A reinforced club made from the reinforced bones of a Crusher Zombie, ideal for smashing through defenses and enemies alike…

[ Crushclaw Crossbow ( Uncommon ): A crossbow modified with the razor-sharp nails of a Crusher Zombie, capable of launching bolts with tremendous force to pierce through armor and flesh…

[ Pulverizer Axe ( Uncommon ): An axe infused with the essence of a Crusher Zombie's crushing strength, allowing survivors to chop through barricades and enemies with devastating force…

These weapons were only Uncommon Grade, but they were still quite decent since, once upgraded, they would all have Crush Rate, which works as a way to destroy the weapons of others.

Finally, Shane turned his attention to the four Survivors.

They do not have many items in their possession as they probably kept the important ones in their Inventory.

Because of that, Shane could only store their bows and arrows and some broken pieces of their blades.

Then, after taking their possessions, Shane finally started looting them.

Supposedly, at the beginning of the Apocalypse, looting other humans or Foreign Survivors wasn't possible. It was perhaps to discourage our Survivors from killing each other and hasten their population drop.

It was only recently that Shane was able to loot humans and even loot their blood, skills, and talent.

[ Do you want to retrieve the loot? ]

"Yes."

[ You have earned 50 Experience Points. ]

[ You have earned 1 Reputation Point. ]

[ Loots obtained: Item Upgrade Crystal x1, 100mL Human Blood ( O+ ), Fishing Skill, Night Hunter Talent ]

[ You have reached the limit of Survivor Talents. Night Hunter ( Rare ) was not added. ]

[ Do you want to remove one of your current Survivor Talents to accommodate the Lesser Invisibility Talent? ]

[ Hint: You can only have 7 Survivor Talents, but you can check the Reputation Store occasionally, and perhaps you'll find a Talent Expansion Pack! ]

Currently, Shane already has a total of 6 talents.

To be honest, after Shane obtained the two Talent Expansion Scrolls from Darwin, he was able to easily loot and obtain decent talents thanks to their collection of human corpses after the Zombie Wave.
