Hashirama nodded at Hanzo and Renji. "You two too can come to Konoha," he stated firmly, his tone brokering no argument. He then folded a seal, and in the next second, the other cloaked figure appeared out of thin air, scanning the battlefield with an intense gaze. His eyes seemed to trace the remnants of the recent battle, as if piecing together the events that had transpired.
The cloaked figure removed his hood, revealing Tobirama Senju. He glanced at Hashirama and asked, "Escaped?"
Hashirama laughed helplessly, rubbing his head. "Another figure appeared, someone who can absorb my chakra. I've never seen anything like it before."
Tobirama squinted, his sharp eyes narrowing. "Let's go." With that, the two Senju brothers disappeared, leaving the remaining Kage and their forces in a collective sigh of relief. Standing in the presence of such legendary figures had been oppressive, their power and authority almost suffocating.
As the two legends disappeared, the other Kages heaved a sigh of relief. Oonoki looked troubled. "Since two of them, in Edo Tensei form, came back, there isn't much to worry about," he said, his voice gruff but tinged with hope. The other Kages nodded in agreement. Hashirama Senju was known as the God of Shinobi for a reason, and his presence was reassuring even in this tumultuous time.
A's eyes were still blazing with fury. "We still need to be cautious. This might be a ploy to bring our Jinchuriki to their doorstep," he growled, his fists clenched tightly.
Mei nodded, her face serious. "We can't ignore that possibility, but we also can't afford to act rashly. Let's wait for the signal from Konoha and prepare our defenses in the meantime."
Renji looked uncertain, but he knew better than to question the seasoned Kages. "We'll be ready," he said, his voice steadying as he resolved to follow their lead.
Hanzo, though still seething from the earlier encounter, managed to calm himself. "Agreed. We need to protect our villages and be ready for any deception."
As the Kages discussed their strategies, the battlefield was eerily quiet. The injured were being tended to, and the fallen were respectfully covered. The silence was heavy with the weight of the recent revelations.
"Those Uchiha... they were like puppets," Mei said, breaking the silence. "Whoever is behind this has a level of control that is terrifying."
Oonoki floated a little higher, his eyes narrowing. "We need to find out more about this Zetsu and the person controlling him. Information is our greatest weapon now."
A nodded curtly. "I'll have my scouts double their efforts. We need to know everything about our enemy."
After leaving the Stone Village, Tobirama and Hashirama appeared at the Cloud Front. Tsunade was there, awaiting their arrival with a mix of curiosity and apprehension. The Senju brothers took her and swiftly vanished once again, reappearing outside the sealed entrance of the Uzumaki Village.
Tobirama examined the complex array of seals with a critical eye. He noticed the intricate patterns and layers that made the seal almost impenetrable. With a swift motion, he took a drop of blood from Tsunade and, with deft precision, used it to unlock the seal. The process was so seamless and efficient that Tsunade could only watch in awe, realizing just how skilled her granduncle was. Tobirama’s mastery of seals was unparalleled.
As the seal responded to the blood, Tobirama's eyes narrowed. He sensed an unusual addition to the seal's mechanism. Upon closer inspection, he identified the presence of Uchiha blood mixed with the Uzumaki's. His frown deepened as he immediately thought of Horyu. He was about to remove the offending drop when the seals came to life, preventing him from tampering further. Snorting in mild irritation, he followed Hashirama, who wore a sheepish smile at the encounter.
They walked through the village, the atmosphere heavy with an ancient and formidable presence. At the heart of the village, they approached the Shinigami's shrine, where the deity stood frozen in time. The sight of the Shinigami brought back memories, and the looks on their faces turned from curiosity to hatred.
Back in the day, Hashirama, Tobirama, and Mito worked tirelessly to prevent specters like the Shinigami from entering their reality and disrupting their lives. But in the end, Madara's uncontrollable ambition turned him from an ally into a formidable enemy. If not for that betrayal, many tragedies could have been prevented. Exhaling helplessly, the Senju brothers walked past the ominous entity, entering another barrier that led them to the isolated yet lively Uzumaki village.
The moment they stepped through the barrier, a vibrant village came into view. Unlike the somber atmosphere outside, this place was filled with the sounds of everyday life. Children played in the streets, merchants sold their wares, and the air was thick with the scent of freshly cooked food. It was a stark contrast to the war-torn world they had just left behind.
At the entrance, Hashirama's eyes softened as they fell upon a familiar figure. Mito Uzumaki, his wife, stood with her back straight, radiating a commanding presence despite her advanced age. Her long, red hair had turned silver over the years, but her eyes still held the same warmth and strength that Hashirama remembered. He felt a surge of warmth in his heart, a moment of peace amidst the chaos.
"Mito," Hashirama called out, his voice filled with both longing and relief. He stepped forward, the years melting away as he saw his wife standing before him.
Mito's stern gaze softened as she looked at Hashirama. "Husband," she greeted, her tone warm but steady. "It's been a long time. I thought I would never see you again."
Hashirama held her close, savoring the moment. "I missed you, Mito," he said softly. "But we have much to discuss."
Tobirama stood a few steps behind, giving his brother and sister-in-law a moment of privacy. He scanned the surroundings, noting the intricate seals and defenses that protected the village. "They've done well to keep this place hidden and safe," he remarked, his analytical mind always at work.
Tsunade watched the exchange, feeling a mix of coyness and helplessness. Her grandmother's presence was formidable, and the respect she commanded was evident as always. "Grandmother," she said, stepping closer. "It's good to see you again."
Mito nodded, her eyes flicking to Tobirama. "I sensed your chakra and had to make sure it was truly you," she said, her voice betraying a hint of emotion.
As Hashirama, Tobirama, and Tsunade stood in the vibrant Uzumaki village, they took in the sights and sounds around them. The lively atmosphere was a stark contrast to the war-torn world outside. At that moment, a group of people approached them, curiosity and recognition in their eyes.
Naruto, always energetic and outspoken, was the first to speak. "Who are these, Grandma Mito? Although those two look super familiar. Yo, Tsunade Nee-chan."
His sister, Himawari, rolled her eyes and nudged him. "Idiot brother, those are the First and Second Hokage."
Naruto's eyes widened in realization. "Oh, right! But how are they here?"
Karin, Kakashi, Obito, Rin, Yahiko, Nagato, and Konan stood slightly behind, their expressions ranging from awe to curiosity. The presence of the legendary Hokage left an impact on everyone.
Hashirama stepped forward, his demeanor calm and reassuring. "It's good to see such vibrant young faces in these trying times," he said, his voice carrying a warmth that put everyone at ease. "We've been brought back through a special technique to help resolve the current crisis."
Tsunade nodded, her gaze sweeping over the group. "We have much to discuss and little time. Let's move inside and talk."
At this time, Tobirama's eyes focused on Obito, his aura flaring, "Another evil Uchiha?" he squinted. The air around him crackled with intensity, as if daring Obito to make a move.
Obito met Tobirama's gaze steadily, his expression calm but wary. "I am not your enemy," he said firmly, his voice echoing through the silent crowd.
Tobirama's frown deepened, his distrust evident. "You wear the face of an Uchiha. You expect me to believe you're different?"
Hashirama stepped forward, placing a calming hand on his brother's shoulder. "That is enough, Tobirama. Not all Uchihas are our enemies."
Obito nodded in gratitude, his Sharingan eyes flickering with a mix of relief and caution. Naruto stepped forward, standing in front of Obito, glaring at Tobirama, "I don't care if you're the Second Hokage or a genius. Big brother Obito was the only Uchiha who left his clan to stand against Konoha when Shisui turned against my father!"
Tobirama looked at Naruto, his gaze sharp. "Your father?"
Tsunade answered from the side, "Naruto is the Fourth Hokage's son. Uchiha Shisui controlled the Fourth Hokage and others to rise to power."
Hashirama, smiling warmly, said, "No wonder you two have the Kyubi. So, you are the son of a Hokage. I feel a closeness to you." He looked at Naruto, feeling an unexplainable bond. The warmth in his eyes softened the tension in the air.
Naruto, though still protective, seemed to relax slightly at Hashirama's words. "Yeah, my dad was the Fourth Hokage. We’ve been through a lot, but we’re here to help."
Tobirama's expression softened a bit as he saw the sincerity in Naruto's eyes. "Very well. Let’s focus on the task at hand. We need to prepare for what’s coming."
