"Damn," a curse was heard from above as the true situation was unveiled. The six Uchiha, who had been fighting so fiercely, now lay lifeless. A black shadow was extracting black iron pieces from their hearts before vanishing into the surrounding black flames.
"Stay!" Hashirama commanded, his voice carrying the weight of his authority. The ground began to rise as he manipulated the earth with a show of power that left even Oonoki and the other Kage awestruck. The sheer force of Hashirama's chakra created an oppressive atmosphere that left the battlefield in stunned silence.
The sight was both horrifying and confusing. The six Uchiha, who had moved with such precision and deadly intent, were revealed to be nothing more than puppets. The shadowy figure's extraction of the iron pieces indicated a level of manipulation that was far beyond what they had anticipated.
Hanzo, eyes wide with a mix of fear and anger, stepped forward. "What is the meaning of this?" he demanded, his voice shaking slightly.
Hashirama turned to face the others, his expression grave. "These Uchiha were not acting of their own will. They were controlled, likely by someone with immense power. We need to find out who is behind this and stop them before more damage is done."
Mei and a few others used water jutsu to quench the flames, but the flames only seemed to grow stronger, feeding on the water itself. "Amaterasu!" Hashirama hissed, recognizing the inextinguishable black flames. The surrounding Kage looked grim, understanding the severity of the situation.
"Itachi Uchiha can use these flames," A growled, his anger barely contained.
"Itachi Uchiha is at the Mist Border as we speak," Mei responded, her voice steady despite the tension. "I don't want to accept that we all have been tricked into attacking Konoha by an unknown force, but it seems that is the case."
The flames of Amaterasu were notorious, their black tendrils consuming everything in their path. The mere sight of them struck fear into the hearts of even the most seasoned shinobi. The battlefield felt the oppressive heat and malice of the flames, and even Oonoki, who had seen countless battles, felt a chill run down his spine.
Hashirama's presence was a stark contrast to the chaos around them. His chakra flared, a testament to his unparalleled power. The ground trembled slightly, as if responding to his will. "Izuna's flames?" He thought in his heart.
Hashirama Senju knew he had to act swiftly. The black flames of Amaterasu consumed everything they touched, and even he couldn't extinguish them easily. Instead, he focused on the black shadow fleeing underground. His chakra surged through the earth, attacking in all directions, causing massive upheavals and tremors.
The ground shook violently as Hashirama's chakra rippled through it, sending shockwaves that disrupted the underground passages. Zetsu, attempting to escape, found himself ensnared by the very earth he sought to hide within. The power of Hashirama's technique was legendary, turning the battlefield into a chaotic landscape of ruptured earth and splintered rock.
As the ground heaved, the Kage and their forces witnessed the true might of the cloaked figure. The destructive power left them in awe. Zetsu, desperate to escape, pushed his abilities to the limit, morphing and twisting to avoid the crushing earth. Yet, Hashirama's chakra was relentless, pursuing the shadowy figure with unyielding force. The sheer scale of the attack was immense, creating fissures and chasms that seemed to swallow the battlefield.
The other Kage watched in grim recognition, their eyes narrowing as they connected the black shadow with the white corpses seen at the Cloud front. This was Black Zetsu, the manipulative force behind the chaos.
"That shadow... it's the same as the ones we saw in the Cloud," Mei said, her voice tight with realization.
A nodded, his anger momentarily set aside. "Zetsu," he growled. "So, it's been him all along, pulling the strings."
Oonoki floated beside them, his expression hard. "We've been played. All of us."
As Hashirama's chakra continued its relentless assault, Zetsu found himself cornered. The legendary power of the First Hokage was too much, even for his slippery form. With a final, desperate effort, Zetsu tried to retreat further into the ground, but Hashirama's chakra caught him, pinning him in place.
"Found you," Hashirama muttered, his voice carrying the weight of absolute authority. He clenched his fist, and the ground responded, crushing Zetsu's form. The black shadow writhed and twisted but could not escape the earth's grip.
Suddenly, another figure appeared next to Zetsu. His eyes were piercing, and although his face was shrouded in shadow, those eyes seemed hauntingly familiar to Hashirama. He was certain he didn’t know this person, yet the familiarity was undeniable. The figure placed a hand on Zetsu, and instantly, Hashirama felt their chakra vanish into thin air. Just like that, the duo disappeared.
The abrupt disappearance left the battlefield in stunned silence. The oppressive atmosphere created by Hashirama's chakra began to dissipate. The allied shinobi, still recovering from the intense battle, were visibly shaken by the encounter.
Mei stepped forward, her voice breaking the silence. “What just happened? Who was that?”
Hashirama’s expression was grim. “I don’t know, but those eyes…they felt familiar, yet strange. We’ve been dealing with a force far more dangerous than we realized.”
Oonoki floated closer, his eyes narrowed in thought. “We need to regroup and figure out our next move. This isn’t just about Konoha anymore. It’s a threat to all of us.”
Hanzo, his voice as cold as the grave, added, “This level of manipulation means there are more players involved. We must be cautious.”
Hashirama looked at them and said, as he handed over three special kunai to A, Oonoki, and Mei, "Return to your villages, and wait for our call. We will take you to Konoha. I am afraid, they will not stop, and we cannot spread our forces. We need to gather all Tailed Beast to one place."
A looked murderous, his muscles tensed and eyes blazing with fury. "We are not certain if this is Konoha's play or not yet. What makes you think we can trust you? This might be a ploy to bring our Jinchuriki to your doorstep."
Hashirama simply removed his cloak and looked at A, revealing his unmistakable features and presence. "Do I look like I need to play with the likes of you?" His voice was calm, but his aura was imposing.
Recognizing Hashirama, Oonoki faltered back, falling on his old ass. A and Mei soon recognized him too, their expressions shifting from suspicion to shock and awe.
"Hashirama Senju," Mei whispered, disbelief and awe in her voice. The First Hokage's legendary status was undeniable, and seeing him in the flesh left the Kages momentarily speechless.
A's fury seemed to waver, replaced by a grudging respect. "How are you alive? No! This is Edo Tensei!" They recognized the black sclera and cracked skin. They all heard the legendary technique.
Hashirama shrugged helplessly, "A youngster summoned us. We didn't want to join the war, but it is beyond villages now."
Oonoki mumbled, "Us? The other cloaked figure, who is it?" His fear peaked. There could only be two people that could stand next to Hashirama.
"He called him brother. Must be Tobirama Senju." Hanzo analyzed. Also frightened. He was enraged when the other figure laughed at his title "Demi-God," but it all made sense now. In front of Hashirama and Tobirama Senju, he was indeed laughable.
Hashirama nodded, his expression somber. "Yes, my brother is here too. We are here to help resolve this crisis before it consumes us all."
A clenched his fists, his rage still simmering but tempered by the presence of such legends. "Fine. We'll trust you for now."
