Fairy Tale: With Sin Of Pride

Chapter 123: Chapter 107: Stealing the Power of Gods! The Fanaticism of the Dwarves!

"You are ignorant!"

Rhodes, disinterested in exchanging further words, hurled a God-Destroying Fire straight at his opponent.

The Roar of the Flame God!

Against an opponent at the level of a god, ordinary dragon-slaying magic was utterly ineffective. Only god-destroying magic had the power to truly obliterate such a being.

The dwarf god raised a hand, meeting the incoming fire with an expression of utter disdain.

"Mortals, you cannot fathom the greatness of the gods!"

A massive and alien force erupted from the dwarf god.

Rhodes instantly felt the oppressive change in the air. The fiery elements surrounding him seemed to bend to the will of his opponent, gathering rapidly. This power transcended mortal rules and laws—it was the very essence of the divine, the authority exclusive to gods.

But Rhodes, unperturbed, ignited a small flame in his palm.

The moment the divine power collided with this flame, it was as though it had met its ultimate bane. The flame swallowed the power effortlessly, spreading like wildfire.

The dwarf god's eyes flickered with surprise, and he tried to extinguish the strange flame. However, it clung to him like a curse, consuming him further. The divine power he poured in to suppress it only intensified the fire, turning it into a raging inferno.

The dwarf god's expression shifted from confidence to horror.

"What is this flame?!"

"It's divine fire, is it not? Or is it something more?" Rhodes' grin widened as he drove a fist into the dwarf god's chest.

The mighty deity was sent hurtling into the ruins, only to be pinned down by Rhodes' transformed dragon-like foot before he could rise again.

"The gods are so frail—it's hard to find any real interest in them," Rhodes sneered, gripping the dwarf god's battered form with one hand. "But since you are a god, I'll take the trouble to finish you off properly."

"You wretched human! You will be the eternal enemy of the dwarves. Your kind will be enslaved and crushed under our boots!" the dwarf god spat, blood staining his words with venom.

But Rhodes only laughed at the threat.

"Enslaved? As if humans weren't already at rock bottom. What difference does it make?" His tone was sharp and dismissive. "If anything, it's only fair for the roles to reverse."

Rhodes' voice dropped, laden with authority. "From this moment, all dwarves in this city will serve as slaves to humans." He smirked darkly. "Not that you'll live to see it."

Dark flames engulfed the dwarf god, consuming his divine form. Amidst his final curses, the incarnation of the dwarf god was obliterated.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

The pounding of Rhodes' heart grew louder, filling the air with an overwhelming power. A fiery magic source began to condense within him. The god-destroying magic had claimed its prize.

After devouring the essence of the dwarf god, Rhodes' power ascended to the level of a demigod.

"This… this power," Rhodes muttered. The flame elements in the air seemed to resonate with him, responding as though they had found their true master. It wasn't merely rule-bending; it was the divine influence that shaped the world itself.

"To kill a god and inherit their strength…" Rhodes' smile turned predatory. He realized that god-destroying magic didn't just obliterate gods—it devoured their essence. While it was only a fraction of their total power, it was enough to weaken them irreparably.

In the starry expanse of the divine realms, within a kingdom of flame and molten rock, an enraged roar echoed.

"That damned human thief! How dare he steal my authority!"

The dwarf god trembled with disbelief. Part of his divine essence had been taken—an inconceivable violation. Such theft was unheard of.

"This power should not exist in a world ruled by gods," he muttered, fear flickering in his fiery eyes. "It is an affront to our supremacy. If I cannot eliminate him alone, then I must seek aid…"

Meanwhile, in the ruined city below, the surviving dwarves were shackled by magic chains.

"You god-slayer! You'll be cursed by the gods forever!" a dwarf shouted, his voice trembling with defiance.

Rhodes tilted his head, almost amused by the outburst.

"Scorned by the gods?" he mused aloud, his lips curling into a mocking smile. "The same gods I'm already killing? What confidence you have for those who failed to protect you."

Leaning back on a throne forged of flames, Rhodes surveyed the gathered dwarves with the air of a king.

"You have two choices: obey me and survive, or resist and watch your comrades die one by one."

A defiant dwarf blacksmith spat at him. "The dwarves will never become slaves! You'll meet your end soon enough!"

Rhodes chuckled coldly. "Such heroism. But I don't mind breaking it." He raised a hand, and a random dwarf exploded into a crimson mist.

"Every refusal costs lives," Rhodes said flatly. "You can keep testing me, or you can cooperate."

The crowd of dwarves fell silent, their spirits trembling. They were unafraid of death—but the cost of their defiance weighed heavily on their consciences.

Finally, an elderly dwarf stepped forward. His stature was unassuming, but his presence commanded respect. He was a master blacksmith, renowned even among gods.

"What do you want us to do?" he asked gravely.

"I need an artifact forged," Rhodes replied, his tone nonchalant. "Something that only the best smiths can create. Let's see if your skills live up to the legend."

His words ignited an explosive reaction. The dwarves, who had been subdued, now bristled with rage. Questioning a dwarf's ability to forge was a grave insult.

"You dare doubt our skill?!" the old dwarf growled, barely restraining his anger.

Rhodes smirked and sketched a fiery magic array in the air.

The intricate patterns glowed with unprecedented brilliance, and the surrounding elements trembled violently.

The dwarves stared in awe.

"This… this isn't a magic inscription," one muttered in shock.

"No," the elder whispered, his voice tinged with reverence. "It's something more. A new form of power… something that surpasses our craft."

For the first time in centuries, the elder felt the thrill of discovery. He gazed at the array with the fervor of a zealot, ready to turn Rhodes' challenge into a masterpiece.
