Chapter 6153: Machine Epoch’s Energy Nexus
“Where did you find it, Sir? We tried everything and couldn’t find it.” She was surprised because he wasn’t present during Immortals Slaughtered War.
The tree disappeared and they searched the whole world to no avail. How did it come to be in Li Qiye’s possession?
“What matters is that it is still around.” Li Qiye smiled: “So let’s talk about the better outcome now.”
She sighed while looking at the tree: “I understand your intention, Sir, but I fear I am powerless and cannot forge anything back.”
“Indeed.” Li Qiye nodded: “You have severed yourself and are on the brink of exhaustion, you cannot forge your masters anew. Of course, you couldn’t do so even during your prime.”
“It has to be you, Sir, please. I implore you, please restore their souls and forge them anew.” She asked.
“Our fateful connection makes it hard for me not to intervene. But, nurturing them will not be an easy task since I won’t be staying here for long.” Li Qiye said.
“I cannot express my gratitude enough and apologize since I am too weak to repay you, Sir. As long as you forge them again, there is a chance for growth.” She said.
“It will be of no use, like a planted sapling devoid of water and nourishment. They are bound to die even if I forge them since you are at the end of the rope and cannot extend their lives.” He said.
She paused for a moment before asking softly: “Then Sir, could you please stay to make sure they survive?”She knew her request was unreasonable due to the length of time required. Moreover, Li Qiye had no obligation toward them.
“I cannot stay.” Li Qiye shook his head: “It might take eras or so after the reforging.”
She let out a sigh and had no issues with his refusal. After all, who would stay so long for some strangers? Not many had that much time available and even if they did, they wouldn’t willingly do so.
“However, I found something nice.” Li Qiye smiled and took out a bottle containing the blue liquid found inside Ghost Monarch.
Its true name was Energy Nexus of Machine Epoch, once belonging to Tianshou and only one step away from being a legacy. He left it in Silver Dragon Mecha before leaving, wanting to use Three Immortals World to gestate it.
Thus, the dragon served as its protector. Unfortunately, it met the superior Desolate Ancestor who ultimately gave this core to the ancient progenitors.
Although they knew it was immensely precious and powerful, they didn’t quite classify it as a legacy. After all, few had the privilege of seeing one or having the knowledge of their existence.
“This is…” She could sense the sealed liquid within the bottle.
“It is perfect for me to conclude this karmic connection.” Li Qiye said: “So let the forging begins.”
“Thank you, Sir.” She would be prostrating if she still had a human body.
“Pop!” The nebula engulfing the three lights slowly receded. The latter looked weightless like dandelions and could be blown away by a gust of wind to the farthest corners.
Li Qiye raised his hand to collect them. They lit up, seemingly aware of his presence. The energetic pulses only lasted for a second before disappearing. That alone took all of their strength.
“It’s a miracle to still be alive.” Li Qiye said before staring at the nebula: “Not everyone can make this sacrifice.”
“I owed my life to them so I was glad to be of use.” She said.
“Their lives weren’t wasted, they still have one good disciple.” Li Qiye said.
“The others weren’t worthy of their love.” She said.
The traitors aside, the three immortals had a disciple who loved them enough to sever herself entirely. The remnant vitality and dao turned into a dao source in the form of a nebula to nourish the three souls, akin to feeding them her flesh and blood.
She knew this would result in her death on top of being futile. Nevertheless, she wanted to prolong their lives for as long as possible. In time, she would disperse and the three souls would die as well.
“Buzz.” Li Qiye removed the three lights from each other - something that primal ancestors had no chance of performing.
Next, his primordial laws pierced through the three distinct entities and intricately kept them together.
They turned into special dao laws, seemingly alive.
“Clank!” With that done, he sent them into the incomplete tree.
They simultaneously penetrated every part of the tree like threading needles, soaring through each branch and leaf.
Li Qiye controlled the delicate movements and made the three laws merge with the tree. The latter became resplendent during the fusion. What was once a fragmented tree began healing and growing, turning back into its original form.
