Chapter 6152: What A Coincidence
“Buzz.” Li Qiye passed through a spatial curtain and reached a different dimension. The sky was engraved with rows of diamonds instead of stars. Each spanned for millions of miles, fully connecting the edges to the center.
In reality, they were dao crystals not seen in the mortal world, not found in nature but crafted through an incredible force. They all contained countless dao sources - the fuel of Three Immortals World.
Regardless of the location, any visitor would find the diamond crystals pointing at them like arrows. Therefore, even pseudo-immortals felt pressured.
At the core of the sky was a nebula with three distinct colors within - yellow, cyan, and red. They swirled together like interconnected souls.
Particles emanated outward and formed the outline of a woman. She had used all her power and fortune to turn into this nebula.
“Buzz.” The dao stars flashed brightly, seemingly opening up to release their destructive might against Li Qiye.
He glanced at them and smiled, undeterred by the world-ending force.
“If I make the slightest move, the forces of this place will bombard me and obliterate everything. Looks like mutual destruction?” Li Qiye remarked.
“This isn’t prepared for you, Sir, but rather, the traitor.” The nebula’s melodious voice like that of a holy goddess echoed.
“How determined, compressing their cultivation into this.” Li Qiye said.“The three masters severed themselves and prepared this trap, intending to take him down. Unfortunately, we’ve been waiting for a long time.” The nebula spoke.
“And you?” Li Qiye asked.
“I am doing what I can to repay them.” She responded.
“Severing yourself to nourish their remnant souls, it’s a significant repayment.” Li Qiye said.
“I wouldn’t be here without their guidance, this is what I should do, helping them sustain for as long as possible.” She said.
“At the very least, they were lucky enough to have trained a disciple who knows gratitude. It would be rather sad if all they had were traitors.” Li Qiye shook his head.
“I apologize for my dao avatar, she didn’t recognize you because I had severed everything.” She said.
“It’s fine, you are waiting for him, not me.” Li Qiye said.
“I am too weak to do anything and have to rely on the masters’ power for mutual destruction.” She said helplessly.
“I’m afraid this will not do.” Li Qiye said while looking at the dao stars.
“I understand. When we dealt with a supreme terror in Uncrossable Expanse, he managed to eat one of them. The ambush against the masters was also successful and he devoured some of their power to reach the gate, but there’s something you may not be aware of, Sir, his dao is inherently twisted.”
“Yes, a shorter lifespan.” Li Qiye said: “This kind of life can only be extended by those of similar cultivation, nothing else is effective.”
“So even if my mutual destruction plan doesn’t work, it can drag him down long enough until death.” She said softly.
“It’s a decent plan.” Li Qiye said: “The explosion, at the very least, will inflict grievous injuries and his lifespan will diminish drastically, he can’t find another to consume in such a short time.”
“Unfortunately, he has yet to come.” She said.
“What about your masters?” Li Qiye asked while staring at the three colors within the nebula.
After a long silence, she finally answered: “Killing him is our last wish.”
“A magnificent goal carried out by selfless individuals.” Li Qiye said: “Few can show such unwavering loyalty, sacrificing yourself to nourish remnant souls. However, haven’t you thought that there might be a better outcome beyond perishing together with your masters?”
“A better outcome?” She paused for a moment before speaking: “Sir, I don’t think so. The masters’ souls are virtually dispersed. I severed myself and wouldn’t be able to recover regardless of the passage of time. Nothing can save us because Three Immortals Tree was reduced to ashes during the war.”
“What a coincidence, I just happen to have a little something.” Li Qiye smiled and took out a basin containing a fragmented tree.
“Three Immortals Tree!” She couldn’t believe her eyes. Of course, she didn’t have eyes in her nebula form.
