When Zhao Ming had gone to ask Xiao Wu about Zhu Zhuqing's whereabouts and learned that Zhu Zhuqing wasn't in the girls' dormitory, he left in such a hurry that he didn't give Xiao Wu a chance to ask what was going on.

Xiao Wu, having been with Zhao Ming for so many years, knew him too well.

It had been a long time since she had seen Zhao Ming act so anxiously.

So, she immediately sensed that something might have happened to Zhu Zhuqing.

She quickly grabbed Ning Rongrong, and they both rushed out to search for Zhu Zhuqing.

Zhao Ming's earlier shout had been loud enough to draw them to his location.

"Zhao Ming, what happened? What's wrong with Zhuqing?" Xiao Wu gasped, her voice filled with worry as she saw Zhao Ming carrying Zhu Zhuqing, who was completely unresponsive in his arms.

"Zhuqing, she... she didn't..." Ning Rongrong's voice trembled with panic. Over the past few days, Zhu Zhuqing and Xiao Wu had become her closest friends. Back in the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Clan, she had no real friends. But here at Shrek Academy, she had cast off the title of the clan's young mistress and felt much more at ease. Besides Zhao Ming, Xiao Wu and Zhu Zhuqing were the people she trusted the most.

Xiao Wu, unlike Ning Rongrong, wasn't overly emotional. Seeing Dai Mubai lying battered on the ground, she quickly pieced together the situation. But without confirmation, she didn't want to jump to conclusions.

"Dai Mubai, that bastard... he drugged Zhuqing. If I hadn't arrived in time..." Zhao Ming shot a cold, deadly glare at Dai Mubai.

As Zhao Ming explained, both Xiao Wu and Ning Rongrong's faces turned pale.

"Dai Mubai, you dared to do this to Zhuqing? You're worse than an animal!" Ning Rongrong shouted angrily, her body trembling with rage.

Seeing something like this happen to anyone, even a stranger, would make anyone furious. But this was her closest friend.

Xiao Wu was also fuming. She couldn't stand the sight of Dai Mubai standing up again, so she ran over and kicked him hard. Xiao Wu was a powerful Spirit Elder, and being a transformed spirit beast only made her physical strength even greater. With a single kick, she sent Dai Mubai flying again, smashing him against a large rock. Blood immediately gushed from his head.

Blood flowed down Dai Mubai's face, painting a ghastly picture.

But even seeing Dai Mubai in such a pitiful state didn't make Xiao Wu feel any better.

After all, Dai Mubai had drugged Zhu Zhuqing to force himself on her. How much psychological damage would that have caused?

His original plan had been simple. After drugging Zhu Zhuqing, he would examine her body to confirm whether or not she had been unfaithful. At the same time, he intended to consummate their relationship, securing his control over her. In his mind, if Zhu Zhuqing hadn't cheated on him, then after they had their first night together, she would be bound to him forever. If she had been unfaithful, then Zhao Ming wouldn't want her anymore, leaving her to him anyway.

It was supposed to be a win-win plan.

But Zhao Ming had ruined it.

Not only had he failed to lay a finger on Zhu Zhuqing, but he had nearly lost his life under Zhao Ming's foot.

That wasn't even the worst part. Zhao Ming had made this public, and Dai Mubai knew his reputation at Shrek Academy was destroyed. Drugging a female student—there was no recovering from that. If word got out, how would Flender and the others view him?

His reputation was shattered.

And the one responsible for destroying his reputation was Zhao Ming.

In his dazed state, Dai Mubai looked at Zhao Ming again, his eyes filled with hatred, but all he could do was feel helpless.

Seeing Xiao Wu's kick send Dai Mubai flying, Ning Rongrong also itched to take action.

After all, what Dai Mubai had done was unforgivable. She had been furious from the start.

Without thinking, Ning Rongrong rushed forward and kicked Dai Mubai as well. Though she was an auxiliary spirit master, her kick didn't carry much power.

"What are you looking at?" Ning Rongrong glared at Dai Mubai with disdain. She couldn't stand the sight of the man who had almost assaulted her friend.

He couldn't bear it. Not from anyone, and certainly not from someone like her.

With a murderous look in his eyes, Dai Mubai lunged at Ning Rongrong, intending to take her down.

Just as Dai Mubai was about to reach Ning Rongrong, a powerful palm strike sent him flying once again.

The newcomer was none other than Zhao Wuji.
