DND Realms: The Rise of the Titan-Dragon Prodigy

Chapter 423: Chapter 423: The Despair of Barloth Flame Demon

"Boring!" As the sinister glow emitted by the Barloth Flame Demon washed over him, Ansul's expression remained impassive as he spat out two words, "Are you ready then?"

"Of course!" the Barloth Flame Demon roared in demonic tongue, using advanced teleportation magic to appear instantly in front of Ansul. Its whip of flames lashed out, and the beheading sword wrapped in demonic flames descended.

"Clang!" Without any dodging movement, Ansul raised his hand to catch the beheading sword, the armor on his palm grinding against the blade, sparks erupting like a fountain.

"Snap!" The flaming whip struck Ansul, producing a resonant sound like a grand bell, and as the gold patterns on his black armor flashed, the flaming whip in the hands of the Barloth Flame Demon shattered into pieces, dissipating into flecks of fire in the air.

"Legendary armor!" Seeing his attacks so easily countered, the Barloth Flame Demon was momentarily dumbfounded, then a sense of frustration welled up inside him.

He had just arrived in the material realm and had barely started anything when he was targeted by a Titan, an unfortunate turn of events considering that such beings were rarer than deities.

Moreover, this Titan was equipped with legendary armor. Already outmatched, the demon had thought of fleeing, but now even escape seemed impossible. How could it possibly break free when it couldn't even scratch this Titan?

"Weak and feeble attack." As the Barloth Flame Demon was stunned by the ineffectiveness of its attacks, Ansul gripped the beheading sword with one hand and yanked, pulling the bulky body of the demon toward him.

Without any hint of mercy, Ansul's other hand clenched into a fist and struck out, golden thunder shining on it, accompanied by a fierce wind. His fist smashed directly into the Barloth Flame Demon's face.

"Crack!" The chilling sound of breaking bones and tearing flesh echoed as scorching, magma-like blood sprayed out, mixed with metal-shining bone fragments.

"Boom!" A visible shockwave formed as the Barloth Flame Demon was sent flying by Ansul's punch, plowing three long furrows into the ground with its reverse-jointed hooves and thick tail.

"Roar!" Accompanied by a muffled scream of agony, the Barloth Flame Demon smashed into numerous trees before crashing into a small hill over a hundred meters high and burying itself deeply within it.

Seeing the demon in such a pitiable state only deepened Ansul's disappointment. He lightly tapped his foot, and his towering form vanished from the spot, leaving behind a slowly fading afterimage.

"Boom!" An even more intense explosion sounded as Ansul charged into the crater made by the demon, punching it once again in the chest. The thunder wrapping around his fist not only scorched the demon's chest with searing marks but also subjected it to terrifying force.

The hill where the Barloth Flame Demon was buried exploded, with earth, rocks, and broken branches raining down. The demon's body was hurled into another mountain, half-buried upon impact.

"Wait a moment." Seeing that the Titan was preparing another attack, the Barloth Flame Demon quickly called out, hoping to gain time for its body to heal, regardless of whether it would work.

"What else do you wish to say?" Ansul looked indifferently at the demon, whose head and chest were now grotesquely caved in.

Visible to the naked eye, the demon's flesh and bones were regenerating rapidly. Ansul knew it was trying to buy time to heal, but he allowed it nonetheless.

He didn't care. For a demon of this caliber, there was nothing to worry about; he could cripple this pathetic demon a first time, and he could do it a second time.

On the contrary, Ansul was quite willing to let the demon try its best to maintain peak condition, as it made the battle more enjoyable for him.

"Do you dare to fight me without your armor?" the Barloth Flame Demon, clinging to a sliver of hope, taunted Ansul. Though at legendary levels, no one really paid attention to such bluster, but what if it worked?

"I'll indulge you." After a brief pause, Ansul removed his armor, revealing his battle robe underneath. He felt that wearing legendary armor against such a weak demon was indeed overkill.

"Even if I die, I'll leave some marks on you." The Barloth Flame Demon, realizing its imminent death, showed a resolute expression. It was ready to fight to the death.

No sooner had it spoken than the demon appeared before Ansul, slashing its beheading sword towards the Titan's head. Instead of swinging its flame whip, it used its spell-like abilities to summon demons!

Or, more fittingly, cannon fodder! Coward demons, berserker demons, soul judges, seducer demons, and even a six-armed snake demon responded to the Barloth Flame Demon's call, surging from the space behind it in a frenzy.

"What's the point?" This time, Ansul didn't catch the sword barehanded but dodged its edge, instantly throwing three punches. Two of these landed on the beheading sword, nearly forcing the Barloth Flame Demon to drop the weapon, while the final punch once again caved in the freshly healed chest of the demon.

"Pfft!" Blood spurted, landing on the ground and sizzling as it corroded the soil. Just as Ansul was about to deliver another blow, the demon used advanced teleportation to increase the distance, narrowly avoiding the punch.

"Attack!" Standing at a distance, coughing up blood, the Barloth Flame Demon desperately commanded the summoned demons to charge at Ansul, hoping they would drain his strength and divert his attention, perhaps even creating a chance for it to escape.

"Hmph!" Watching the swarm of demons hacking at each other while charging towards him, Ansul scoffed. Golden, domineering thunder and whirlwinds swept around him.

Screams filled the air, quickly silenced as the summoned cannon fodder was struck by golden thunderbolts, turning into dubious charred remains, and was then sliced into finger-sized pieces by countless blades of wind.

"Futile resistance." Ansul stretched out his hand, and dazzling thunder condensed into eighteen long spears beside him, which he then hurled at breakneck speed towards the Barloth Flame Demon, still desperately teleporting around to dodge.

"Why can't I teleport away from here? What have you done?"

"I told you not to cling to hope. Your best end today is to die here; there is no second outcome. I've already sealed the space around us," Ansul stated plainly, his voice carrying the finality of a judgment, blocking any further escape for the demon.

Surrounded by the intense energy field created by Ansul, the Barloth Flame Demon's options dwindled rapidly. The relentless pursuit and the overwhelming power displayed by the Titan left no room for negotiation or escape.

"Is this how it ends?" the demon pondered despairingly, the realization dawning that it faced not just defeat but annihilation. Its attempts at regaining composure and strength futile, the demon understood the grim reality: it was not merely battling a powerful adversary—it was fighting an inevitable demise orchestrated by a superior force.

In a desperate last effort, the Barloth Flame Demon gathered all its remaining strength, preparing for one final, defiant strike against the overwhelming might of Ansul.
