Days as a Spiritual Mentor in American Comics

Chapter 32: Chapter 24: God of Cursing_1

While Matt was rescued, he was still in critical condition, receiving care in the intensive care unit.

Shiller said to Strange, "Dr. Strange, I owe you a favor. If you ever need help in the future, you can come to me."

Strange's face was haggard. After all, he'd been forced to perform nearly ten hours of surgery. He irritably said, "God help me, I don't want to see you again, freak."

Shiller said, "I believe you've already witnessed my abilities. So here's an extra piece of advice: Be careful when you drive."

Strange said, "Don't play any weird tricks on me. I'm going to bed."

After saying that, he left. Shiller shrugged. He knew there was no changing Doctor Strange's fate. Considering Strange's current state, he wouldn't take any advice seriously.

But that's okay. When he desperately wants a cure for his arm, he'll naturally think of Shiller.

After a good sleep back at his clinic, Shiller woke up to find he had gained two more random chat opportunities. This showed he had significantly influenced two vital characters in the plot - probably Matt, the Night Devil, and Spider Man.

Shiller planned to use one of them right away. Seeing what happened to Daredevil Matt, he realized his defense and evasion abilities were still unsatisfactory, particularly his reaction speed. Even if he could Flash, in a few split seconds, no one can be sure of their own reaction. He couldn't rely on the unreliable Spider-sense.

So, Shiller activated the chat system and started a random conversation.

His chat partner arrived quickly, but strangely this time the profile was dark with only two eyes glistening.

The moment the communication connected, Shiller heard a series of sounds in a language he didn't understand.

All his previous chat partners spoke English, even if The Ancient One communicated directly with brainwaves, it was easy to understand.

But this time, he faced a chat partner spouting incomprehensible babble.

He asked the system, "Can't the chat system translate? What kind of language is he speaking?"

Due to Shiller's past life experience, he had visited various universities for tours and exchanges. Apart from English and Chinese, he was somewhat proficient in several European languages, but he'd never heard of this language before.

The system gave a reply: "The chat system automatically translates any language of the chat partner. If there's still incomprehensible content, it indicates a life-form difference between the host and the partner, or understanding the partner's language requires a specialized brain organ."

Shiller now understood the other party was not a human. The long string of sounds the other made probably needed a special part of the brain to receive, and was likely not a language at all but a signal. As a human, Shiller probably didn't have the respective brain organ to understand it.

Shiller looked at the avatar and saw it plainly written - The God of Symbiotic Body, Nal.

He didn't expect this random connection could connect him to Nal.

The God of Symbiotic Body had been thoroughly introduced in the Venom-related comics. Simply put, he was an ancient creature existing since the beginning of the cosmos, the Lord of the Abyss. He created a weapon called the Black Death Sword, decapitated the head of a Heavenly God, and began to wreak havoc on civilizations throughout the cosmos.

He discovered a way to create Dark Creatures by splitting Symbionts. He, his vast Symbiote army, and his created Giant Dragon army caused chaos throughout the cosmos.

It wasn't until one day when he commanded the Symbiote army to attack Earth, that he and most of his created Symbiots were annihilated by a lightning strike from Lord Thor.

Most of the Symbionts scattered throughout the cosmos, possessing various lives. Many of them were benevolent and rational aliens, which led the Symbionts to recognize that their creator's actions in destroying civilizations were evil. So, they collectively rebelled.

The rebellious Symbionts imprisoned the God of Symbiotic Body Nal on a remote and desolate planet, the so-called Symbiote's homeworld.

Instead of rushing to use the next chat opportunity, Shiller was excited to decipher what Nal was saying.

Since the beginning of the connection, Nal had been rambling. The incomprehensible syllables quickly sent over.

This setting was a bit reasonable - unlike the comic where everyone in the cosmos spoke English. Shiller couldn't understand a single word the God of symbiont was saying. However, he managed to discern a few patterns from the long monologue.

After repeatedly verifying, Shiller finally understood what the God of Symbiote meant - He was cursing.

Indeed, although not everyone in the cosmos spoke English, all life forms had a similar tone when cursing. Some dirty words appeared frequently and the God of Symbiotic Body was no exception.
