Another World Reincarnation Chronicle

Chapter 193

The people of Janghon, or the Blood Dragon House, readily accepted my request. It was the wish of the youngest who had just returned home. No one opposed it.

The number of troops provided by the Blood Dragon House wasn’t large, but each individual was a skilled fighter of at least Gold grade. Their joining would undoubtedly be a great help in the upcoming battles.

“Rana… Are you already leaving?”

After merely receiving a promise of support, my feet felt heavy at the thought of leaving so abruptly. The gazes of the Blood Dragon House members watching me were filled with warm affection.

Especially the looks from the head of the Blood Dragon House and Jegrin were particularly intense.

“I’m sorry.”

I averted my gaze from theirs. It couldn’t be helped. I wished I could at least share a meal with them, but I still had many places to go.

“Wait a moment! Jegran! Jegran!”

As I took to the skies without hesitation, Ch’eong-bin’s anxious voice followed. But what could be done? I waved to Ch’eong-bin, who was fidgeting, and returned to the Gold Return Ship.

The next destination after Janghon was the capital of the Karma Empire. Since the Mage Tower had already promised support to the empire, there was no need to visit the imperial palace. Instead, I sought out the adventurers with whom I had forged bonds during our exploration of Monster Island.

Celyon was undergoing the admission process in the Swordsmanship Guild, just like the first time we met.

“You…?”

As I approached, Celyon wore a surprised expression. She quickly tossed aside the documents she was holding and rushed over to embrace me.

“Ugh…”

“Seris!”

My face and head were relentlessly smothered against her ample bosom. It wasn’t a bad feeling, but due to my struggle for air, I had no choice but to push Celyon away gently while smiling.

“Hello?”

“What brings you here? Adventurer activities? Or perhaps renewing your swordsman rank?”

I shook my head at Celyon’s question.

“No. I came to find you, Celyon.”

“You came to find me…?”

“Yes. I have a request…”

I briefly explained the recent events and mentioned that I had requested support from different countries for an expedition to the Grimshade Kingdom, led by the Mage Tower.

“So, that’s why you sought me out?”

“Yes… Ah, I can promise you a generous reward. The Mage Tower has plenty of money.”

Even if the Mage Tower lacked funds, I had quite a bit saved up personally.

Adventurers working within the guild move towards money. Isn’t it true that they live balancing their lives and gold coins on the scales?

Of course, not every adventurer is like that.

“I’ll need some time to think…”

“I’m planning to stay here for a few days. Please find me once you’re certain.”

“Okay. Got it.”

“Alright, then…”

Having accomplished my first purpose in coming here, it was time to move on to the next goal. After exchanging farewells with Celyon, I exited the guild and headed towards the street where the artisans gathered.

Clang-clang! Clang-clang!

As always, the artisan district was filled with raucous sounds. The voices of people haggling blended with merchants promoting their wares, while the sounds of artisans’ saws and hammers mixed chaotically.

Without hesitation, I made my way to the largest workshop. Based on my past experiences, skilled artisans in the Karma Empire typically operated large workshops like this.

“Welcome…”

Upon entering the workshop, the employee who had approached me cheerfully froze. Their gaze darted quickly, scanning me from head to toe.

It couldn’t be that they were surprised by my height. It was likely the magical robes I was wearing that caused the employee to hesitate.

I pulled out the Dragon’s Breath I had stowed away in my bag and showed it to the employee.

“I want to make clothes with this. Is that possible?”

“This is…”

The employee closely examined the Dragon’s Breath I handed over. It had been a month since I’d plucked the herb, yet the Dragon’s Breath still exuded vibrant life.

“I’ve never seen this herb before… I think I should ask the boss if it’s possible.”

“Will it take long?”

“Well, I’m not sure. If the work finishes quickly, I think I can get you an answer soon…”

It seemed unlikely that I would get an answer today. Nodding, I grabbed a leaf from the herb and handed it over.

“I’ll come back in a few days.”

“Ah, yes. Your affiliation and name?”

“I’m Seris from the Tower of Dawn.”

“So, you really are a wizard…”

I left the workshop. If I couldn’t get the pants I wanted made here, I planned to head back to the Lower Realm, of course, only after the expedition to the Grimshade Kingdom was complete.

Once everything was settled, I boarded the Gold Return Ship again and headed to the Mage Tower.

*

“Perhaps, Seris, your Mage Tower may be established!”

In the morning before the giant war, Haiven spoke up while we were having breakfast together.

“A Mage Tower? Seris?”

Rain, surprised by Haiven’s comment, looked at me and Haiven in turn with wide eyes.

Suddenly mentioning a Mage Tower was a little unexpected. I tilted my head and asked Haiven.

“Is it really that easy to establish a Mage Tower?”

“Easy? It seems you still don’t know what you’ve accomplished.”

“My accomplishments…?”

“You’ve implemented an independent magical system and developed spells. You even donated those spells to the Mage Tower. And that’s not all! You brought information from the Lower Realm that no one has ever uncovered and completed a huge number of missions in a short time. Moreover, you went to those who had previously declined the Mage Tower’s support request and secured promises of assistance… Your lineage and background are clear, so there shouldn’t be any opposition.”

“Um…”

“And you even came in second place in the competition…”

I’m not thrilled about the achievement of coming in second place in the competition. Back then, I lost simply because I didn’t know there was a magic that could summon the inner world, and if given another chance, I could undoubtedly win.

“I’m not considering establishing a Mage Tower…”

“The benefits of becoming a Tower Master are overwhelming. You’ll gain a portion of the revenue generated by the Mage Tower annually, and you could become completely free from missions conducted by the Mage Tower…”

Why did he suddenly bring up such a topic? I tilted my head in confusion. Even if my achievements were remarkable, I didn’t think I could become the Tower Master at the expense of the Vice Tower Masters. There had to be something else going on.

“Haiven, perhaps in the Grimshade Kingdom…”

At my question, Haiven silently gazed at me. A strange figure slowly rotated above his calm eyes.

“I’ll take my leave now. There’s a mountain of work I need to attend to.”

Haiven said this and rose from his seat. For some reason, his departing figure felt oddly distant.

*

As the time for the decisive battle approached, many airships docked near the Mage Tower. With enormous quantities of troops and food to transport, the Mage Tower had to hastily ramp up airship production.

I utilized my allotted personal time to frequently visit the empire’s workshops. The artisan responsible for my order seemed to struggle with the unfamiliar material but worked without sleep and ultimately managed to finish a pair of small pants.

“It’s done…!”

“This is…”

I lifted the pants the artisan handed me. They looked much smaller than the size I had ordered, and I felt like they wouldn’t go past my thighs if I tried to put them on.

“They’re too small, aren’t they?”

“It’s a very stretchy garment. It should fit perfectly.”

“Um…”

I frowned at the artisan’s words, tugging at the garment slightly. To my surprise, what initially appeared ordinary stretched like modern spandex material!

“Wow…”

“What do you think?”

It’s still too early to be satisfied. With shining eyes, I drew my sword from my waist.

Swish—

“May I check it?”

“Of course.”

The artisan’s attitude was brimming with confidence. Excited, I sliced through the pants.

Riiip—

With a small cutting sound, the pants fell apart. While sturdier than ordinary fabric, they couldn’t withstand the might of the Fire Dragon Sword.

As I was observing the torn sections of the pants, I began to sense a delicate flow of mana from inside. From the split part, thin strands began to emerge and intertwine.

“Oh…”

“What do you think?”

Indeed, it was promising. I nodded and tossed a money pouch to the artisan. The artisan beamed at the heavy pouch.

“I’m going to wear this. Where’s the changing room?”

“Oh, over there.”

The changing room the artisan pointed to was situated in the furthest corner of the workshop. I hurried to the changing room and tried on the completed pants.

As the sleek black pants hugged my thighs, they felt as if they were melting into my skin. The comfort level was outstanding, making it feel as if I was wearing nothing at all.

The size that had seemed small now fit perfectly the moment I wore them. My thigh slightly peeking out from the side slit wasn’t too bothersome.

“Quite good…”

Not just good, but incredibly so. With these pants, I could let my tail out without worry. Gone were the days of throwing away torn pants because of my tail.

I smiled as I fondled my slightly protruding thigh.
