Breathing styles
The final match just ended and yes, I may have been carried away a bit.
But yeah, I won!!!
And I also found out that the world I am living in has Viral hit too!! How awesome is that?
Also, if Viral hit was here then there will obviously be Lookism characters too!! Now it all made sense why Korean dominated the combat world. They have some crazy monsters.
I wanted to fight them so bad. I wonder how strong I would be compared to Gun? I was obviously not delusional enough to think that I could beat him but I wanted to know.
This meant that the peak of the world was higher than I thought and damnit as a Martial Artist I would make sure to reach the top!!!
Though I was quite surprised how I fared so well with Yeonwoo since Korea had gangs and all that shit. Fighting was very common there but here there were only weak fighters.
Obviously I should have less experience and therefore should be weaker but no. It could be said that I bullied him at the later part of the match.
I guess it was due to my training and my so called system. If so then I was more OP than I thought.
Now I wondered how stronger I would get if I went to Korea and fight strong people. I can't fucking wait!!
I should look for a way to move over there soon. If I wanted to become the greatest fighter in the world then I would have to seek out stronger opponents.
My Journey to the peak. Hahahaha.
{Now this is exciting!!}
---__---__---__
After the fight there was a huge celebration and I got interviewed by the national TV and I was pretty sure my fame would explode after this.
After all, this was the 'World' and not 'national' which was very insignificant since Japan had weak competition.
At the end of the day, I went to the hospital and my shoulder was apparently injured again but I was able to leave without having to stay in the hospital.
I got a massage that night from Sumire, she applied some ointment on me. Then I went to bed early because I was too damn tired.
The next day I slept till late in the afternoon and when I woke up we got ready and leave Tokyo to return back home.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I took in an enormous amount of air in my lungs, my chest pumped up like a balloon. I held the air in my lungs and allowed it to process the oxygen and send it to my blood.
My muscles tensed and bulged out as I channeled my strength throughout my body. I closed my eyes and carefully thought about the movements I have as about to execute.
My mind recalled the way Yeonwoo's body moved and how he punched. I played that again and again in my mind until I was sure my body could replicate it.
I finally expelled the air in my lungs and I felt my body energized to the limit.
[Skill :-
Breathing Technique : Master.]
Breathing technique was something I learned alongside kenjutsu. It had always helped me greatly in fights to conserve stamina and to maximize strength.
Then my eyes snapped open and I stepped forward and pushed my fist with all my strength and momentum. My target was the punching bag that was hanging from the ceiling.
In just a split second my punch landed and I felt my fist sink in the bag.
*POW!!!*
The bag bend around my fist in a weird way before it aggressively swung around due to the impact.
I stood still, channeling my breath as I slowly opened my eyes to see the damage I did.
The bag was swinging a lot, up and down and side to side. But what caught my eyes was the deep dent which was present exactly where I punched it.
If that was a normal human, they would die immediately.
I remembered the times when I thought Karate was useless and for pussies. I shook my head.
'Yeah, Karate is awesome.'
"Haaa.." I relaxed my muscles and allowed myself a break. I went to one corner of the room and picked up the water bottle and towel.
I was currently in my home-made gym and it had been around three days since the end of the championship. I was training harder than ever and what I just did was make sure I truly learned the moves I witnessed from my opponents.
I didn't have the ability to copy techniques and movements instantly like some crazy monsters out there but I could definitely work to recreate it.
{You are also a monster yourself.} the author said while I finished the whole bottle and wiped my face with the towel.
"Really? I didn't know that." I said with a smile.
Actually, I did know how awesome I really am. I mean I beat the living shit out of Yeonwoo Ji. He may not be that strong compared to others but he was definitely also not a canon fodder.
{Yes, actually your system may only display your status but it also made your body perfect and boosted your potential to the highest limit.}
"Really? You never told me that?" I said. Perfect body? What does that mean? Like Daniel's other body from Lookism?
{Sorry, I am not sure if 'perfect body' would be the right term. Think of it this way, your body became the perfect medium which can learn and master anything to the utmost limit.}
{So like you have the potential to reach the peak of anything you focused on. Like a game character.}
"Oh I see. I think I understand it now. But what about my special skill Top G?"
{Top G gave you the peak talent in all human endeavor and also allow you to achieve anything as long as you work hard for it.}
'So my status perk was having the potential to be the best while Top G gave me the best talent. '
{Yes, think of your potential as a cup and you have the biggest cup there is possible. This was given to you from birth. Meanwhile Top G gave you the ability to fill up that cup as quickly as possible.}
That is very interesting. I got how it all works from the beginning but I never dived too deep into it as I thought I was already the strongest but now that I know I was wrong, it was good to know exactly how much potential I had.
But I needed to train and learn to get stronger. How would I do that here in Japan? There was hardly anyone stronger than me who I could fight or learn from.
Self training can only get you so far afterall.
Then what should I do?
.
.
.
"Wait, you said Top G gave me the ability to achieve anything as long as I work hard for it?" I said and something clicked in my mind.
{Yes.}
"Then what if I wanted to fly? Would I have the ability to fly if I work hard for it?"
{Um, depends on how you are working for it. This skill may sound broken but it still follows logic. You can't expect to work hard studying and expect to be physically stronger. You have to work towards what you want to achieve.}
"So if I wanted to fly, I would have to learn biology and stuff to maybe have the chance to mutate myself and gain the ability to fly." I asked.
{Something like that I guess.}
"So it's just plot armor." plot armor where the MC always achieve what he wants.
{...I guess.}
Very interesting ability I have here. I thought for a while before coming up with another idea.
"Hey, if that is really the case. Then couldn't I learn martial arts from different animes? As long as I knew the theory and training required behind it."
I could almost feel the author smile as he said, {Of course.}.
I smiled widely at that.
The question was what am I going to do now? What am I going to train? What am I going to try and achieve?
Something which I had clear understanding, something I knew the training of, and something which I was familiar with.
As my mind was abuzz with such thoughts I got increasingly frustrated and my breath quickened - wait.
Breath.
Breathing.
[Skill :-
Breathing techniques - Master.]
One anime where normal humans were able to achieve superhuman feats using different breathing techniques came to my mind.
Well, well, well.
"I think I know what I would be training and exactly what I wanted to achieve." I said and smiled.
Breathing techniques.
No.
Breathing styles.
