Chapter 21 - Will You Leave? Then I Will Miss You Very Much II
The midnight bell struck at exactly this time, and the lights in the entire bar changed color in an instant. The previously ambiguous purple-red hue turned into a deeper and more lofty blue. The crystal spotlights hidden in the ceiling projected hundreds of tiny stars. The light and shadow flowed and changed. As long as people willing to squint their eyes, they could see every person in the vast universe and the sea of stars in an instant.
Bai Xi leaned on the railing with a bottle of wine, listening to the high-pitched and lonely singing of the bar singer in the distance. The tone was very cold and lonely. The noisy world slowly settled at this moment, just like the tranquil sea at dawn, where the sky connected.
“What are you thinking about?” Han Zhuo asked.
“Have you ever thought about going back?” Bai Xi looked at him. “Go back to your planet.”
“I have thought about it,” Han Zhuo said frankly. “Over the years, not just me, but everyone has thought about it. My hometown, even if I have never met or set foot in it, just hearing about it and thinking about it makes my heart extremely soft.”
“Don’t be disappointed yet,” Bai Xi said, putting his arm around his shoulders. “Maybe one day, someone will really come to take you home.”
Han Zhuo smiled and clinked beer bottles with him.
When the dream ended, both of them were a little tipsy. They were familiar with the bar driver, who took them back to the high-rise apartment on Xinghai Road.
The bathtub was filled with hot water, and Bai Xi threw himself into it, feeling satisfied and not wanting to move.
“Are you okay?” Half an hour later, Han Zhuo knocked on the door.
Bai Xi, wearing a bathrobe and holding a toothbrush in his mouth, opened the door and said vaguely, “What’s wrong?”
“You took a long time to take a bath this time,” Han Zhuo explained. “I was a little worried, so I came over to take a look.”
“It’s very comfortable to soak in the water,” Bai Xi said, continuing to brush his teeth in front of the mirror. His messy hair was raised, and there were still small drops of water hanging on the ends of his hair.
Han Zhuo took the towel on the side and helped him dry his hair carefully.
That night, Bai Xi laid on the cloud-like bed, thinking sleepily and groggily if Mr. Han really left one day in the future, he would miss him very much and look forward to seeing him again next time.
But that was another planet far away, who knew how many light years away.
So even the dreams became melancholy.
Han Zhuo helped him close the door.
“Good night.”
.
The next day, Bai Xi still had a full day of work. Han Zhuo turned on the computer in the lounge and read Bai Xi’s list. It was filled with all the strange people and strange things he had encountered—of course, those with unknown origins and unclear words had been deleted. The mysterious bodyguard Mr. Han was replaced by a row of yellow stars.
Before he read two lines, a person suddenly sat down in front of him, carrying a cold air.
“Where’s Liu Chunchun?” Han Zhuo glanced behind him.
“At home,” Wang Yuanchen replied, leaning on the sofa, dissatisfied. “I thought you would come to see me today.”
“It’s just ten o’clock in the morning,” Han Zhuo said, looking at the computer screen. “If I remember correctly, our appointment is at eight o’clock in the evening.”
“Shi Tian is back. His target is obviously you.” Wang Yuanchen unbuttoned his suit and said, “But you are still here staring at the computer.”
“So what?” Han Zhuo said, “The boring game between me and him has been going on for many years, and I don’t mind it continuing a little longer.”
“But I do.” Wang Yuanchen pinched the coffee table with his fingers and gritted his teeth. “I don’t want to receive even half a harassing phone call again. So, you’d better send him back abroad as soon as possible!”
.
The phone in the living room rang, and Liu Chunchun dropped the brush and answered seriously, “Hello?”
“Who are you, the nanny?”
Liu Chunchun replied fluently, “Mr. Wang is not at home now. You can call him on his mobile phone.”
“Nanny?”
“Yes,” Liu Chunchun suggested. “Or you can leave a message, I’ll tell Mr. Wang later.”
Shi Tian reached out and rang the doorbell. “He has never brought anyone home before, so I want to see for myself who you are.”
