Chapter 3: Arisu Sakayanagi & Hiyori Shiina Route 1
[You have already learned a valuable lesson from the previous checkpoint regarding what would happen if you indulged your sister's desires. When you allowed her too close, she failed to conceal her emotions and became dangerously blind to her surroundings, so long as she could revel in your affection.]
[She showed little regard for the consequences of being exposed, even neglecting to hide her affections in front of our father. Her feelings, while strong, proved to be indiscreet and even reckless.]
[This time, however, you chose a different approach. Instead of indulging her, you focused on your studies, dedicating yourself to self-improvement and advancing your skills.]
[Your aloof attitude did not dissuade her; rather, it seemed to fuel her obsession further, making her more persistent and even more attached to you as time went by.]
[Despite your reserved demeanor, she would often sit beside you in silent companionship, reading books or working on her assignments without speaking, creating a quiet bond where words were unnecessary, yet the closeness remained undeniable.]
[Your flawless academic performance drew no particular praise, as it had become expected of you—a natural result of your dedication and consistent achievements.]
[Previously, you and Arisu did not attend ANHS but went to an elite aristocratic school. While prestigious, it posed significant risks, especially under our father's watchful eye. If our relationship were to be exposed, the consequences would be severe, even though you were his adopted son.]
[Now, you and Arisu are both enrolled at ANHS, with our father's blessing. You find yourselves in the same class, but Arisu seems far less interested in outshining other students or forming faction among the class. Her attention is focused solely on you, and you, in turn, observe everything with quiet indifference.]
[Kouhei, the bald man in Class A, assumes the role of Class Leader, and you choose not to interfere or compete for the position. Your ambitions lie elsewhere: to claim Arisu's pussy fully and to reach the ultimate "good ending" with her.]
[A plan begins to take shape in your mind.]
[Choose your approach]
[1. Establish your own powerful network and empire within the school. ANHS is an elite institution, and the students here will likely become future leaders of the country. Given their early maturity and the school's rigorous expectations, investing in influential connections now could be invaluable.]
[2. Speak openly with Arisu Sakayanagi about your expectations. Rather than complicate matters with excessive planning, you might tell her directly that if she wishes to remain close to you, she must exercise better control over her emotions. You will give her what she needs but only if she can stop behaving like a cat in heat and avoid giving others the wrong impression around you.]
[3. Pursue another girl as your "official" partner while continuing a secret affair with Arisu. This option offers a tantalizing thrill—a forbidden romance that combines the allure of deception with the excitement of secrecy and cheating.]
Why do all the choices seem crooked as hell?
Since when did I start planning like that?
Hah...
Just go with the second choice.
Arisu, I sincerely hope you won't disappoint me this time. Otherwise, I'll be forced to take matters into my own hands in the future, operating behind your back instead of being upfront with you.
"Brother, what exactly did you want to discuss with me? And why are we meeting in such a secluded place? Are you, perhaps, planning to assault your own sister in this silent corner? Fufufu..." she chuckled with an amused smile.
"No, sister, not at all. In fact, I think you need to manage your emotions more carefully. Your eyes are giving too much away, and if you keep acting this way, anyone would start to suspect something unusual about our relationship," I reminded her sternly.
"Does the opinion of outsiders truly matter to you, brother?" Arisu responded, rolling her eyes, clearly dismissive of my concern.
"No, not theirs, but our father's opinion certainly does," I asserted. "Do you have any idea what would happen if he found out? He would send me back to that horrid place, and we would most likely never see each other again. You and I have no power, no leverage, over his decisions once things spiral out of control."
Arisu nodded quietly, her expression shifting from the flirtatious charm she wore earlier to a calm, almost icy demeanor.
It made her even more intimidating than I had anticipated. Without another word, she turned and left as if we had never even spoken.
Her sudden silence gave me the impression that something deep and dangerous had taken root within her—something dark and perhaps something that I had unknowingly unleashed.
At least, I consoled myself, this outcome was for the best.
I exhaled in relief. In the end, she had listened to me, which was a minor victory despite the unsettling chill left by the calm expression she wore.
Her demeanor changed dramatically; the warmth of sibling closeness had been replaced by an aloof indifference.
As she had nodded at me, it was as though she was sealing her resolve.
[Since that day, Arisu never visited you again, reverting instead to her canonical demeanor. However, she has grown increasingly competitive with Kouhei, becoming more aggressive and proactive in her rivalry. No longer passive as she was before, she now actively confronts Kouhei until he submits, ultimately begging to join her faction, which she swiftly brings under her command.]
[Class A is no longer fragmented but instead truly united under Arisu's leadership. The change is glaring; she no longer acknowledges you, avoiding you as if you were nothing more than a stranger. For your part, you focus on your studies and indulge in laziness, watching the drama around you unfold with a detached indifference.]
[You assume that your previous conversation completely dissuaded your sister from pursuing you, and so you begin forming new plans for the future. You can't keep going on like this—you need to interact with other girls aside from your sister, to find a suitable candidate for a girlfriend, maybe even a future spouse.]
[With that resolve in mind, you start wandering through the school hallways, hoping to find a girl who can genuinely spark your interest.]
[Who will be the girls?]
[1. Hiyori Shiina]
[2. Kaurizawa Kei.]
[3. Fuka Kiryuin.]
Let's go to Hiyori Shiina instead.
In the first place, I've always had a preference for cute girls.
Moreover, Hiyori Shiina is a girl who's both easy to get along with and uncomplicated, not requiring much effort to maintain a steady relationship compared to many other girls.
I want nothing more than to spend the rest of my life peacefully with a beautiful girl by my side, and Hiyori fits that description perfectly.
Not only do we share a similar passion for books, but she is genuinely a sweet and considerate girl in contrast to others I've encountered.
Well, since I have resolved to end my previous entanglement with my sister, let's start this fresh new chapter of my life with her, shall we?
[You finally meet her, Hiyori Shiina, in the school library, where she sits reading a book alone. This setting makes me wonder if this is truly an elite school. Even in the canon storyline, she reads alone in the library until her encounter with Ayanokouji. In my past life, libraries were rarely as silent as this; they always had people actively reading or studying.]
[1. Greet Shiina.]
[2. Focus on your book, letting her take the initiative instead.]
[3. Fall asleep in the library.]
Choose 2.
[Of course, you decide not to greet her right away. After all, you need to maintain your image as a reserved nerd and a dedicated bookworm in Shiina's mind, letting her make the first move to initiate conversation with you.]
[Day after day, week after week, you sit silently reading at a table while the petite girl with silver hair occasionally glances at you, peeking over her book shyly. No matter how many times she tries to muster up the courage to start a conversation, she's always overcome by her shyness.]
[Eventually, however, her courage builds up. She reaches out, clutching the fabric of your sleeve, her adorable eyes gazing directly into yours.]
"Spencer-san, your name is Spencer-san, right? I saw you in the signing book in the past, is that you, Spencer-san?" she asks tentatively.
"I am," I respond casually.
"So, is there anything you wanted to say, girl?"
"I'm a big fan of yours, Spencer-san! I really like the books you wrote before you enrolled here. Are you still writing them?" Hiyori's eyes sparkle with enthusiasm, her shyness melting away.
Oh, so that was the reason behind her initial hesitation. She was nervous because I was her idol! No wonder it took her so long to strike up a conversation.
What else can I say? I really am just that awesome, that's all there is to it.
"No, I'm dropping it," I stated firmly. Though she was also my favorite waifu, my mind was set, and I wouldn't be swayed. If I decided to drop it, then that was the end of it.
"Why?" Shiina asked, her tone thick with disbelief. "The story is amazing—the world-building, the character interactions, everything! Why would you drop it?"
She continued, her expression pleading. "Besides, no one else has ever written a story with the same premise as yours, Spencer-san. A high school student suddenly granted the powers of The Gamer, leveling up and meeting all kinds of supernatural forces and factions... Every part of your world-building is so intricate and awesome. Why would you stop now?"
"Because," I replied with a chuckle, "I'm bored and want to start a new story."
Shiina's pout deepened as she processed the news. "You know you're a jerk, right, Spencer-san? People were really looking forward to more, and you've always had a loyal following. Why stop just because you're bored?"
I patted her shoulder encouragingly. "Become a writer yourself, and you'll understand what it feels like to hit burnout. It's tough forcing yourself to write new chapters when the passion and motivation are gone."
Shiina sighed, her pout turning almost playful. "Thanks for the encouragement, Spencer-san, but... that's not what we're talking about!"
Her expression softened, her eyes hopeful. "Is there anything I can do to help you keep going?"
"I don't know... maybe if you kissed me, I'd consider it," I said nonchalantly, assuming she'd brush it off.
But to my surprise, her face turned determined, and before I could react, she leaned in, pressing a soft kiss to my cheek.
"Now, promise me you'll keep going, Spencer-san," she teased with a mischievous glint in her eyes, then darted out of the library before I could say a word.
I touched my cheek where her lips had lingered, feeling the warmth of her kiss.
In that moment, I knew my decision had been the right one.
Shiina was the best girl.
With her, I didn't have to risk exposure or ostracization, unlike with Arisu.
Grinning to myself, I left the library too.
See you again tomorrow, Shiina.
