Wish: Into the world of Percy Jackson

I stared into the air with an empty gaze.

"Another one, huh?"

Looking back down towards the message displayed on my phone.

[It is our honor to have you as an applicant for the... we have decided on a candidate who fits the opening best...]

"Heheha... another one... I wonder why did it happen this time? Was it the son of some executive? Or maybe some friend? Oh! Maybe it's because I don't have over 10 years of experience since I was 8 years old, like some asian kids out there!" - I take the stupid hat from my half-time job with clenched fists.

"Fuck! What did I do wrong? I worked my butt off to have good grades at school... then, after wasting most of my childhood buried under stupid books I got a scholarship into a renowmed college just so I could bust my ass even further! And all for what? Some stupid piece of paper and a minimum wage salary!?!? Screw this!" - I ranted my sorrows to myself.

"What more! Before I could even start college, I was even booted from that shitty orphanage and forced into the military! Only to what? Serve this stupid country? What did they ever do to me? I even almost lost my scholarship because of this shit!" - I was fuming.

'Ding!'

The phone rang, as a new mail had just arrived.

"What is it this time? Another rejection?" - As I took a look, I was amused at what I saw.

[You have been invited to participate in the GodWish survey! Answer the Form and have a chance at having your wishes come true!]

"Huh? What is this? Some new scam? Tsk, they need to get more creative. This just ain't cutting it... well, I have nothing to lose, let's just take a look." - And so, I clicked the link towards the form, and started reading it.

[If you were to be transported into another world, what would it be?]

"Huh? What is even the point in asking this? Is it not a scam but just some trolling?"

"Well, who cares? So, Percy... Jackson... done!" - And as I clicked next, another question appeared.

[What would you do there?]

"Huh? This is starting to sound fun... but what would I do?" - I started pondering.

"What about becoming stronger than even primordial entities? Seems great!"

[Choose the perk you would have to accomplish your goal]

"Let's see... I would like to have unlimited potential, that is, the more I practice something, the better I would become at it, with no upper limit, being talented in every field!"

[Is that your wish?]

[Yes] [No]

"My wish? I think so..." - And as I clicked yes, I felt the world around me distorting, as I blacked out.

When he next opened his eyes, he was astonished at what he saw.

The world seemed blurry, as if he had water in his eyes, he also seemed bound by something.

After focusing his gaze, he saw the blurred face of a beautiful woman.

'Huh!? W-What is going on? Where am I?'

[Congratulations! You have been reincarnated into the world of Percy Jackson! You have received the chosen perk! Good luck on "Becoming stronger than primordial entities"! As an additional benefit, you are hidden from the calculations of prophecies, unless you decide otherwise!]

[Be warned that, if you were to die without completing the challenge, your soul will be extinguished. Happy new life!]

'Is this for real?!?!? Wait, does that mean I am a baby!?'

"MUÁAAAAA! MUÁAAAAAAA! MAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"

'Stupid baby body!'

So, it's been already a year since I was reborn, and there were a few things worth noting. It seems my memory has greatly improved, and it is as perfect as I could possibly wish it to be. With that in mind I have decided to create a mind journal to keep myself focused.

From what I know, the woman I saw as I was born was my mother, she seems to be a goddess, but my father seems to have died for some unknown reason, and so I was dropped at an orphanage. I was kinda expecting to have a family, or at least a single parent this time around, so I am left a little disappointed, but it is what it is...

Oh! Right! I also found out about something really cool. There are some strange types of what I can only call as energies inside me. If not for my special talent perk, I might not even have noticed. Thanks for whomever gave it to me!

There are 3 of them. When I start to look out for them I get some strange sensations. I feel a soothing coolness from one of them, a hot warmth from the second, and the last one can only be described as a party, as I am not too sure how to put it into words, as if it could be anything and everything.

From what I have seen, when I try to manipulate them, the cool one is more mentally taxing, and it usually stays around my head, always nearby the brain, the warm one tends to leave my whole body sore, and it seems more concentrated near my heart. They also increase with time, and that goes even further when I use them, though for some reason the cool one seems to increase at a faster rate, and it is also present in greater volumes.

My guess is that they correspond to my spirit and my life force. As far as I have tried that seems to hold true.

The last one is a bit tricky. I once managed to pull it out of my body and it formed some sparks in the air. My guess is that it should be at least somewhat related to magic, like some form of mana. Like the others, it also increased the more I used it, but, unlike them, it seems not to increase with the passage of time, instead increasing more than the others with practice. It also doesn't seem to have a place to stay, and just keeps on flowing throughout my entire body, much like my life force, even if it concentrates near my heart.

I will refer to this third energy as mana. I have a feeling this energy would work better if I could make it concentrate someplace, like the other two, but I guess it is something that needs some more thinking.

I was never one to rely on my instincts, but as of late that hasn't been the case anymore. Maybe it is related to my talent perk? Or just part of my divine heritage? It could even be a collaboration of both! But the fact is, ever since I was reborn here, it have never failed me! Not even once!

And by the way, did I already say my new name? Just kidding! I know I didn't! It is really cool! Ready? Here I go! Lysandros Evermore! It's really cool, right!? I heard the caretakers saying that was the name in some letter I had on me when I was dropped here! I think it is the name my mother chose for me! It's great! She is just so much better than my parents in my past life! Can you believe they did not even name me?!? Shame be upon thee, past parents!

Either way, while following my intuition, and taking inspiration on some novels I have read in the past, I found some great ways of training those energies!

For my life force, I just make it flow throughout my entire body using my blood vessels, it seems by doing so, I am nurturing my whole body and making it stronger, and that also seems to increase the rate at which my body generates it! It is just a cycle of positive feedback!

Then comes my mana! I started training it by trying to control it's flow, before I gathered it into a thread, and now I am trying to materialize this thread out of my body, and by doing so, train my control! And then, when I think I mastered controling a thread, I will just create a second one, and so rinse and repeat!

Last but not least, comes my spirit power! From what I trained, it is the easiest for me to control. Actually, I am even using it to control the others, I try and encapsule them in spirit power, and use it to make them move however I like, and so, by training in the other 2, I train in it as well!
