"What are you doing here? I thought you're in HQ!" Rosinante asked. 

"Well, story short. Here i am..." Shrugged Kimimaro. Seeing Rosinante expression, he added, "...What? You don't like me being here? What are you doing here anyway with Vinsmoke Judge?" 

Rosinante sucked his cigarette and exhale helplessly, "...How did you know we are behind the door?" 

Kimimaro thought in an instant, then he replied nonchalantly, "...I don't know you're there, i'm just barging in thats all." 

Rosinante seemingly wanted to continue, alas, seeing Kimimaro nonchalant attitude, he doesn't feel like to inquire any further. 

"Anyway, were you having a deal with Judge?" 

Business deal between Marine and Criminal was open secret, let alone a deal with kingdom ruler. Kimimaro just felt curious.

Rosinante puffed out smoke once again as he shook his head, "...Don't think too much, i'm just a messenger."

"...If you say so." Inquiring any further would be impossible, Kimimaro chose to ignore it.

Kimimaro finally began to walk while Rosinante followed from behind. 

"How long have you been here?" Kimimaro asked. 

"Just yesterday." Replied Rosinante.

"Do you aware on what's going on with 50th branch?" This time Kimimaro's tone was cold.

Rosinante paused slightly, soon he took out some documents from his jacket then he give it to his friend.

"Here, help me send this back to HQ, every dirty thing 50th branch had done is here." 

Receiving the papers from Rosinante, Kimimaro simply put it inside his sleeve and continue to walk. 

"Well, thanks for your hard work. I've never seen you again since 'Gambit' incident. I'm glad seeing my classmate once again." Kimimaro smile was back as he began to reminiscent on his old days.

Rosinante scoffed, "Classmate? We were only together for 2 years!" 

Kimimaro scratched his head awkwardly, "Hahaha, is that so?" 

"You appllied for early graduation! Please lord, have mercy on us!" Rosinante sounds like grieving wife as he recalled about Kimimaro's action in Marine academy.

"Hey, its not that exaggerated right?" 

"Bastard! Because of you, we were always being compared to you! Did you know how miserable our days back then?!" Rosinante grabbed Kimimaro's collar feeling upset.

Kimimaro doesn't sense anything other than little frustration from Rosinante, he just need to vent a little, so he let him be. 

"Asshole!" Rosinante cursed as he let go Kimimaro's collar after he heard the latter chuckled awkwardly.

Years ago, when Zephyr brought Kimimaro and Enel into Marine Academy in Marineford, he met a taciturn and quiet boy with the same age as him. 

After inquiring for a while, he learnt that the kid was Rosinante who had been brought back by Sengoku. 

As they had similar situation as both were orphans who had been lucky enough to meet with Marine Admiral and taken as foster child, soon they easily accept one another and become friends. 

Kimimaro had always been the brightest and strongest, Enel was the sharpest and fastest yet easy to read, all the while Rosinante was taciturn yet had been the kindest and the most cunning among them all. 

Together, the trio went about and mingle until the end of 2nd year as Kimimaro applied for early graduation, leaving Enel and Rosinante behind to continue their 6 years study in Marine Academy.

'Gambit' incident which Kimimaro referred before was when Kimimaro challenged the Marine higher-ups into a match between Captain and upper rank Marine officers against the lower ranked Marines in a battle to prove his land-battle strategy. 

The incident was huge uproar as everyone in Marineford had come and witnessed on how Kimimaro and the lower ranked Marines humilliated the Marine officers in land battle thanks to his unique and unprecedented tactics. 

When his friend basked in glory, Rosinante could only endured as right afterwards his class training intensity had been raised from their instructors bordering inhuman treatment, everything was just petty revenge from those seniors. 

Enel was fine since he had superior almost broken Logia power, coupled with his sharp sense courtesy to his initial Haki awakening. he could mostly avoided the trap set by their seniors. 

Poor Rosinante, his strength at that time was not enough, his taciturn nature made him a soft target for the senior to vent. Thankfully they didn't gone too far as they knew that Rosinante was Sengoku foster son. Despite all of this, Rosinante still held grudge regarding Kimimaro early departure ever since.

Soon the duo arrived at the underground entrance, witnessing the setting sun, Kimimaro asked, 

"So? What's you gonna do now? Wanna grab some drink? I need to console Enel a little..."

"What happened to him?" Inquired Rosinante, Enel was from the same year as him and Kimimaro, hearing Enel need some consolation, Rosinante was intrigued.

Kimimaro shook his head as he replied vaguely, "Something indeed happened, no worries with some booze and snacks he will forget about it..." 

*Bzzzzzt....

"Hey! Thats not nice! Am i a drunkard?" Enel scowled as he appeared all of sudden beside the duo.

Kimimaro awkwardly scratched his head while Rosinante was surprised at first before he went forward and hugged Enel in friendly manner.

"Enel..!" 

"Yahahhaa, my friend Rosinante!!!" 

After brief hug, the duo fist bumped and smiled toward each other. 

Enel earlier gloomy feeling was supressed after he meet with a very dear old friend of his, making his usual playful countenance return.

In contrast about his interaction with Kimimaro, Rosinante had closer relationship with Enel as both were considered comrade in arms against those hellish training since their academy days.

Before the trio began to catch with each other, they sensed someone approaching from the sky.
