Kimimaro closed Zephyr's office door slowly and sighed, he thanked his foster mother Velma timely help by calling Zephyr at the awkward time. 

Currently, Zephyr was still engaged in lovey-dovey talk with his wife in the office, giving time for Kimimaro to escape.

Kimimaro wasn't Zephyr and Velma's biological son, however, due to some circumstances in the past, Zephyr and his wife Velma decided to take Kimimaro into the household unofficially. 

Kimimaro felt quite awkward, but later he resigned to his fate and accepted the warm house of the Zephyr family. he lives happily with his 7-year-old brother Arthur and his sister Morgan who turns 12 years old this year. 

slightly feeling light-headed, Kimimaro walked towards the lounge to get something for lunch.

"You'll hit something if you walk with an empty head you know~" 

"Kuzan..." Kimimaro nodded in response to the voice. 

A smiling young man in his twenties could be seen standing tall with his hands folded at his chest, he was known as Kuzan.

He unfolded his hands slowly and looked at his fellow Vice Admiral ahead showing his usual friendly manner

Kuzan stood at 298cm/9.7ft making him a head taller than Kimimaro, Both had a good relationship as they were once taught by the same instructor Zephyr, and graduated at the same time. Later, Kuzan was accepted as Garp's pupil.

Kimimaro as one of the youngest graduates ever recorded in Marine, was an object of envy and admiration at the time.

"Wanna grab something? I'm famished..." Asked Kimimaro. 

He doesn't ask about why Kuzan was waiting over him there as it was a daily occurrence, his colleague was known as a 'friendly' man with his motto, 'Burning Justice' he says. Typical for young Marines.

Hearing Kimimaro, Kuzan smiled and nodded slowly, soon following the former towards one of the Marineford streets outside the HQ seeking the more laid-back restaurant to accommodate Kuzan.

Despite his friendly demeanor, Kuzan doesn't like crowded places, such was why Kimimaro took a different route than his initial thought.

Walking on the Marineford-wide brick road, Kuzan covered his face with his Marine's Hat and Kimimaro did the same. Their ranks were only below an Admiral, so, lots of people gave them a salute wherever they went and it didn't feel good in the long run. 

Marineford population was huge, making it prosperous, the ones who lived there were mostly the families of Marines who worked there or were sent from other places as they deemed the HQ was the second most secured place other than Mary Geoise on the Redline.

After a while, Kimimaro followed by Kuzan, entered a seemingly quiet restaurant just opposite the HQ fort-wall.

The restaurant was not huge, it had a decent dining area to accommodate the huge-bodied Marines from HQ, Kimimaro and Kuzan doesn't feels discomfort entering it. 

Bam* 

Kuzan was the first to sit down at the closest table he could find and Kimimaro followed suit. 

Soon after, a crisp voice of a young girl could be heard greeting the duo, "Hello, welcome sir do you want to order the usual?" 

Stood beside the table was a petite teenage girl with green hair in twintails, she had sweet smile and a bit of twinkling could be seen inside her brown eyes. 

She brought 2 cups of cool water and put it at the both respective side.

Kimimaro smiled in response, "The usual please, Yura..." 

The waitress called Yura hiding her lower face with a tray she brought and smiled bashfuly towards Kimimaro. Then she turned her small head towards Kuzan who at this point resting his chin on his right hand.

"Aah~, excuse me, yes the same as him please." Kuzan smiled.

Yura nodded at him then she took a deep look at Kimimaro before she left with their orders in small giggle.

Kimimaro shook his head as he turned towards Kuzan once again. "The great era of pirates had come Kuzan, what do you think?" 

Kuzan rested his back at the chair and sighed, "I don't know..."

"I'm sure Sakazuki must be madly fuming right now..
