Let's sort out the memories.
Perhaps because of one man's memories entered my mind, my personality is now mixed with about 8 of my original personality and 2 of my memory personality.
Other than that, there doesn't seem to be any particular change, but there may be some hiccups later on.
(I never thought I would be called Count Jealous...)
I search desperately in my memories for the cause of such a situation.
All of a man's memories are very interesting, but right now my knowledge of the game is top priority.
The game I am in is,
"Together with You, Rage."
a fantasy RPG.
The game was originally a novel, and the rich storyline was the main selling point of the game.
The contents were quite simple, but the game had a harem route, individual heroine routes, and plenty of romance elements, and was quite popular with both men and women alike.
( Thank goodness for me, being a fan of the Deadly Sins series.)
As the series name suggests, the series was based on the seven deadly sins: jealousy, arrogance, laziness, lust, greed, and gluttony, in addition to wrath.
Fortunately, the memory man is a big fan of the deadly sins series, and it is safe to say that there is nothing he does not know.
For the sake of expediency, I judge the memory man to be me in my previous life.
(Ha ha...
The cause of the red stone disease was not an infected disease, etc., but a dungeon.)
I found out the true nature of the disease which had been suffered for a long time since my father's generation so stunned me that I laughed, though I don't show it publicly.
"........."
"........."
Then I was checking my knowledge and it took me a while to be able to think properly.
Only at this point I was thankful for the cold relationship I had with her, I wouldn't have been able to reply properly if she had spoken to me in my current state.
(But...)
I could see that this feeling of gratitude was rapidly fading.
I'm sorry, I have some urgent business.
"Please feel free to stay in the mansion."
"...Is it okay if I go back?"
"...Yes.
"That's fine."
"Okay, I'll leave."
The moment she realized she could go home, she grinned as if she was breaking into a smile.
(If I didn't know this, I would have fallen in love with her.)
The smile is all for one man, the descendant of a hero. That man is the hero, the one who gathers his companions and executes justice in a kingdom full of aristocrats who have a corrupt system of government.
And she, Nora Ewell, is one of the heroines, the tragic daughter married off to an unwanted man, who awakens to true love and kills the evil I have become, along with the protagonist.
The story is a royal road story, taking back the princess from the evil forces.
"Are you sure about this?"
"I have the Count's permission, let's hurry up and leave."
I called out to the duchess's maid, who was waiting for her, and hurried her out of the room.
Just before leaving the room, only the maid bowed apologetically.
I had expected this response.
To be honest, I did not trust all the memories that had come to me.
If she just didn't like me, there was no need for her to smile, and it made sense that the smile she showed at the end was due to the joy of meeting the protagonist.
(The information seems to be correct.)
Now, just to confirm.
"As I thought."
"Ah!"
"Hey, how do you see my relationship with her?"
I ask Mina, the count's maid.
"Well, you know..."
"I promise you that what I say here will never be revealed to the outside world, so please answer me honestly."
"Well, then..."
I should say that the relationship between us has grown cold, and it seems that my attempts at compromise have only been a one-way street.
Mina answered everything honestly, sometimes raising her voice.
Even though the Duke has not been able to cure her, the Count is making daily efforts to cure her illness, but she doesn't even try to know about it, and it's the end of her as a daughter of a duke to not approach him because of one-sided feelings. I was so disappointed.
The last word was a light remonstration.
"I thank you for your answer."
"I'm always happy to answer."
But I got a little annoyed when I saw that the master of the house was responding so poorly, and I used a lot of swear words. I apologize."
"Don't worry, I was the one who told you to answer honestly."
After I finish saying those words, I walk out of the room.
The place I'm heading to is the library, and I've got something I have to do right now.
"Bosco! I have something urgent to discuss with you, "
"Yes, of course".
The maid standing behind him stands in front of the room, locks the door, closes the curtains, takes out a magic tool similar to a lantern in his hand to prevent eavesdropping, and activates it.
"The bug countermeasure has been activated."
"Okay."
The preparations are complete, but where to start...
It would be risky to tell Bosco everything about this memories, even though I trust him.
Besides, if this knowledge is wrong, the Count's family will be greatly affected.
For now, what needs to be done is to confirm the accuracy of the knowledge.
The two things I will tell Bosco are the cure for red stone disease and my diving into the dungeon in the Count's territory.
"It may be possible to cure red stone disease."
"Oh, my God!"
Bosco's long-cherished wish for a cure for red stone disease, even the normally calm and collected Bosco could not contain his anxiety.
He takes out a gold coin from his desk.
"Get me about 50 magic sealing stones of the same size as this gold coin."
"Magic sealing stones, is it?"
"Ah, the fact that no matter what medicine the Count's family uses, it does not extend life, it is highly likely that the red stone disease is not a common cold that is contagious.
Only magic can cause such mysterious symptoms".
The cause of the red stone disease, which I learned from my knowledge, was the magical power of the dungeon that appeared in the duke's territory.
The magical power released from the dungeon was incompatible with living things, especially human beings, and caused physical and mental abnormalities. This is what led to the Red Stone Disease.
The cure is to remove the magical power that has penetrated into the body, and the stone used for this purpose is the magic sealing stone, which, as the name implies, seals out the magical power.
The magic seal stone is, as the name implies, a stone that seals out magic.
I'm sorry, I'm afraid it will be difficult to prepare 50 of them right away.
I know, just get 10 of them and put them near the patients.
"Yes, I will."
But I honestly don't know if the magic sealing stone will be effective.
