Chapter 816: Umbrella Girl
Ahhhh~ That was so therapeutic~
It's even better than the time I beat up that brainrot idiot.
"You can let go of him now," I chirped, prompting Zwei and Drei to let go of the Off-Worlder they had been holding up to be my punching bag this entire time.
The bangle has already been destroyed so the people he had been controlling should have been freed by now.
Now all I need to do is to wait for the Queen to come here and then I can teleport back to the capital city.
In the meantime, I tied up the stupid Off-Worlder and recalled all my Shadow Guards back into my shadow.
I also took the opportunity to survey the damage to the island and… Well… Let's just say that no one would even be thinking about building anything here with how torn up the place is right now…
I didn't just use him as a standing punching bag, I also got my Shadow Guards beat him up all around the place alongside me.
Unlike the last time, I had instructed them not to use any weapons and just beat him up with their fists. Then a dedicated team of Shadow Guards would just constantly heal him so that he doesn't die during the beating.
Yep, that was a good beating.
Hmm… Since I've already destroyed the bangle… The Queen should be coming here soon.
And as though on cue, a portal opened up a short distance away.
I started walking towards the portal just as a person stepped out of it, which immediately made me stop in my tracks.
An unfamiliar woman wearing the same cloak as the Off-Worlder stepped through the portal.
She had a head of long, black hair that went past her lower back and her eyes were a distinct red colour. In her hands was a black umbrella that completely blocked the sun's rays from reaching her.
The newcomer looked around, completely ignoring me when she saw me but stopped when she saw the tied up Off-Worlder on the ground.
"This one was no good too, huh…" I heard her mutter.
No good? Wait… What is she talking about?
Hold on… The guy did say that he wasn't the leader or something… I was planning to interrogate him about that after I took him back to the Queen.
So apparently he was telling the truth after all?
I pulled out my sword but she didn't even react to me and instead, she walked over to the Off-Worlder and stood over him.
She nudged him with the tip of her foot, "Hey, are you dead yet?"
He groaned, obviously still alive but not completely conscious.
"Hmm… Still alive? That's surprising… Guess I will have to fix that."
She raised her hand to point at him which made me panic a little.
"Wait!!" I called out.
Her hand paused and she turned slightly to look at me out of the corner of my eye, "Hmmm? What's this? Are you one of his pawns?"
I scowled, "What are you trying to do to him?"
"Hmm… That's odd… Why is some mortal actually speaking to me directly?"
Ok, I'm not stupid. This person obviously isn't normal.
She looks like a Mahun but I wasn't getting the feeling from her for some reason.
My first thought was that she was a vampire or something, especially since she was carrying that umbrella to shield her from the sun.
That 'mortal' comment just made me even more suspicious that she really was one.
My other thought was that she might be one of the gods but somehow I don't think that was the case with her.
She fully turned towards me and her red eyes seemed to stare right through me, "Do you not feel anything while you are in front of me, mortal?"
I was about to say no when she suddenly closed the distance between us, almost as if she just dematerialised to materialise in front of me.
She tilted her head at me, "This is odd… You're really not feeling anything in front of me… Hmm… Is it because of the mask?"
The girl tried to reach for my mask but I stepped back from her to move out of her reach.

She frowned at the action, "What's this? How curious…"
I thought that she might try again but she took back her hand before taking a step back.
She stared at me and it felt like she was inspecting me like I was some kind of puzzle she was trying to solve.
I tried to use [Screened] on her and, predictably, the result was a bunch of errors.
Just as abruptly as she had appeared, she seemed to lose interest in me and disappeared from my view to reappear in front of the Off-Worlder.
She stretched out her hand to point her palm towards the Off-Worlder again.
"Hey!" I called out to her again.
She turned her head slightly though her hand remained where it was, "Why is this mortal making noises again?"
I pointed at the Off-Worlder, "If you're planning to kill him… I'm going to have to ask you to not do that…"
She lowered her hand once again to turn and face me, this time with a look of amusement on her face.
"What's this? A mortal is actually commanding me to do something? Now this is certainly interesting. Then what about this?"
She snapped her fingers and I suddenly felt my body grow heavy while my vision went blurry. My consciousness seemed to be getting duller and duller until I instinctively used [Mind Shield] which immediately snapped me out of it.
She tilted her head, "Oh? Even that didn't work, that's really interesting."
I was still wondering what she did when she waved her hand towards the Off-Worlder and the guy was suddenly engulfed in flames.
He was immediately awake and screamed in pain as the fire started to burn him.
I immediately threw an [Aqua Ball] at him, aiming to douse the flames but the ball of water turned into steam even before it got close to the flames.
I wanted to create an even bigger one but the fire intensified and the Off-Worlder got incinerated until there was nothing left.
Fuck!
I turned to the girl who was looking at me with amusement clear on her face.
"You are interesting. Very interesting."
She then disappeared and reappeared in front of me again.
Her eyes were opened wide like those crazy eyes you might see on those deranged people and I felt a shiver go down my spine as her red eyes bored into mine.
"Why are you hiding your face though?"
She tried to reach for my mask again and this time I caught her hand by her wrist to stop her from grabbing it instead of just avoiding it.
Her face instantly changed and she yanked her hand out of my grasp before thrusting it towards my abdomen with her fingers outstretched as if she was trying to pierce me with her hand.
In doing so, she had even dropped her umbrella but she didn't seem concerned with it at the moment.
I was going to try and avoid it but that seemed to be unnecessary because Eins's hand appeared from my shadow to grab her wrist this time.
The red eyed girl was still looking down at the shadowed hand in confusion when Eins leapt out from my shadow and delivered a straight kick into her abdomen.
She had even buffed herself and the kick even caused a shockwave that blew out around us.
Yet despite all that, the woman didn't even move at all.
She even seemed to become even more confused like she didn't understand how Eins's foot had managed to get there.
"Hmm… Interesting… Really interesting… I need to check on this…"
She then turned around, her body phasing through us like we weren't even there before a portal appeared and she stepped through it without even looking back.
The umbrella shot up from the ground and flew through the portal after her before it closed up, leaving no traces behind.
What the heck?
"Eins?" I asked, wondering if she had anything to say about what just happened and whether she knew what she was..
She shook her head, "My apologies, Master. I do not know what her problem was."
Well, no surprise, I guess.
I went over to where the Off-Worlder had been burnt to see if there was anything I could salvage from there. But the fire really burned him to the point that there was nothing left.
Damn… I can't even revive him even if I wanted to because there's literally nothing left to use to resurrect him with…
Now I don't even know if she was the real leader or maybe she was just an outsider who had somehow manipulated him into doing what he did…
Right then, a portal opened once more and I spun around with my sword out, thinking that it was that woman again.
"Oh? It looks like you already dealt with him, Aster~ Was Mommy too late?" Levianne asked as she looked around the area after stepping through the portal.
Ah… I don't even want to talk about it… I just want to go back and lie down somewhere while someone feeds me cookies or something…
