Chapter 60: Realm of Light part-3
"Not sure. I can't fly here. This is a no-combat place for us. You are experienced soldiers. Surely, you can think of something," shrugged Wil.
As the rest of them looked at him suspiciously, Wil said, "look. Just as I promised, I bring you to the location of the hidden realm. The entrance is right before your eyes."
Garvin narrowed his eyes and asked, "are you sure that this is it?"
Wil nodded with confidence, "yes. I'm 100% sure."
Garvin nodded, "Okay, fine. Renart, you stay here with Time Traveler. Gervas, Athelard, you two come with me."
After a while, they returned with carrying a tall oak tree.
"Move aside" Garvin spoke as the three of them brought it inside the cave.
As Wil moved aside, Garvin then ordered, "on the count, 1, 2, 3…"
All the four of them raised it and thrust it towards one of the edges. As soon as he saw that, Wil got that they are trying to do. So, he volunteered for the job.
As the NPCs steadily maintained the tree in a proper position, Wil jumped on the slanted tree and started climbing up. After reaching the so-called nearest point to the drawing, he raised his hand with a smile but wasn't able to reach it.
All of their smiles froze along with Wil.
"Well, here goes nothing…"
Wil jumped towards it and successfully touched the angry lion's face but lost the balance as he landed on the tree and fell on the ground. Since it is a no-combat ground; he didn't lose any hp.
Although he felt the pain, there's a huge smile on his face as it glowed, and a pillar of light formed between the ceiling and the ground engulfing the tree.
"Let's go."
Wil took the step and he disappeared into it. The rest of them looked at each other and followed him.
*Ding. You entered the Realm of Light.
Wil looked around his surroundings. There are four Suns in the sky, one in each direction, providing light everywhere. Despite that, the temperature is normal.
Because the light is everywhere, even their shadows disappeared. As for the place, they are in the middle of some kind of grassland.
"Hmm, the setting is the same as the video Bran uploaded. That means either all Kingdoms have the same hidden realms like dungeons or they are connected to one realm.
Anyway, if I remember it right, the fragment of light stone is dropped from a monster where Bran fought is a volcanic region. Let's see…"
Wil flapped his wings as he spoke, "I'll fly a little bit to see if there's anything ahead."
As he thought, Wil indeed saw a volcanic mountain Range from far away but before he rejoiced, something hit his neck and he lost 1 HP.
"Eh?"
As he looked around, Wil saw something like a spark of light coming towards him and he tried to dodge but he was hit and lost another 1 HP.
Since it's just 1 HP, Wil didn't fear and inspected that ball of light as he was hit for the third time.
Light Bee
Grade: Elite
Level: 200
Hp: 1/1
Description: A wandering curious light bee that attacks anyone it sees.
Looking at its level and health, Wil was surprised, "it's a level-200 Elite mob? But only has 1 Hp? And also, it can only deal a 1 HP damage?
Is it because it only has an attack power of 1 or is it because of my armor?
Now that I think about it, this armor provides defense little more than 200K and normal level-200 Elite grade mob basic attack strength is 160K. That Queen really gave me something good.
Tch… this damn bee…"
While he is in the middle of thinking, the light bee kept on attacking him without any break, which annoyed him. After unable to hit it, Wil immediately descended on to the ground while shouting, "Incoming" which is a usual command to get ready to fight.
As he landed on the ground, the four of them who raised their weapons looked around clueless and Renart asked, "Where is the enemy?"
The ball of light hit Wil as he jumped away but failed to dodge and lost 1 HP again. "This one."
As soon as they found it, everyone gets into the position to strike it down.
Ten minutes later;
Renart glanced at Wil and asked, "Garvin, what should we do?"
Meanwhile, Wil was cursing inside.
"F*** Am I a flower or something? Why the f*** are you keep going to attack me, ignoring everyone else."
For the past 10 minutes, while everyone tried to kill it, they were never able to land a single hit on the bee to finish it while the latter keeps on attacking Wil and talking off 1 HP. Even though it isn't much, after getting hit a dozen times, anyone would get angry.
At first, to kill it for good, Wil even exposed one of his skills and used Heavenly Push with some mana but it escaped from that attack and continued to hit him as if he was a mortal enemy.
Leaving with no other choice, Wil took out the Elite pet scroll he got from the level-100 dungeon and used it after locking the target.
*Ding. Target level is higher, a 33% chance of failure. Do you still want to use it?"
Without thinking too much, Wil pressed ok as he doesn't have much use for Elite pet. All he wants to put this annoying thing to stop.
The ball of light disappeared and Wil received a notification.
*Ding. Congratulations, you caught light bee.
*Ding. Since there is no other pet in the companion slot, Light Bee is selected as your battle companion.
Battle Companion system is something that existed in the game from the last. Each player gets a single slot in pet inventory, where players can catch them with pet scrolls.
If they catch another pet, they have to release the previous battle companion into wild as a mob.
After they were caught, their level will reset to 1 and every time they are summoned, they take 50% of players' exp to level up. Of course, it goes without saying that they can neither cross the player's level nor they can cross their original level before they were caught.
Another issue was that they are very rare. While the common grade pet scrolls are dropped from Elite level Dungeons, Elite grade can only be dropped Heroic level difficulty dungeons with a low chance.
So, most of them don't care too much about them as they can just try to become a Summoner if they want to fight with beasts.
Back to the grassland, after catching it, Wil summoned it to see this peculiar mob that seemed very invincible.
Instead of a ball of light, he saw the true form of it, which is obviously, a Bee, although a little bit different from a usual one found in the wild.
It is in the size of a palm with round big glowing eyes. Its body is full of orange fur with no stripes. Jut based on appearance, Wil was sure that girls would love it to pet it.
????
Grade: Elite
Level: 1
Attack: 1
Defense: 1
Hp: 1
Speed: N/A
Stamina: N/A
Skills:
Flash bite: Sting the enemies with a speed of light.
It was only after reading its skill did Wil realized why they weren't able to hit it. It was not because they weren't able to hit it; it was more like they can't because of its unlimited stamina and speed.
As it landed on Wil's palm while curiously looking into his eyes, Wil grinned, "Let's call you Strix."
