Chapter 56: Audience with the King
Realizing that they aren't allowing him into the palace with just nobility badge, Wil ordered his guards to stand back together in a line to cover him and Captain.
Hearing out a weird order, his guards were taken aback but still, they silently followed it without question.
Looking at them, as a frown appeared on the captain's face; Wil took out the scroll from inventory and handed it to the captain with a smile, "here. I bet this will do the job."
The captain took the scroll from him and opened it curiously as it certainly doesn't look like an invitation from the palace.
A startled look appeared on him and his voice started to quiver while he began to sweat, "this... Lord... I'm... I'm... sorry... for offending you... please forgive me. I didn't know you are Lord Raziel's guest.
While the change in his behavior baffled his subordinates, Wil, on the other hand, went into deep thinking.
"Lord Raziel? Who is he? I received that scroll as one of the rewards for becoming the first player in the kingdom to defeat a corrupted guardian, Cerberus. It's sure an item that grants me an audience with the King for once.
But, it looks like it's not that simple. It's obvious that this "Raziel" is definitely more powerful or scarier than the King. Hmm, maybe a High-Human?"
Meanwhile, the scouts from various guilds were wondering what's going on as it's been a while and this new guy was neither allowed inside nor did he get kicked out yet. Moreover, they can't even see the shadow of captain and Wil as five towering mountain-sized guardians were obstructing their vision.
Just then, they saw the guards moved aside and opened the palace gate and they started walking forward.
With excited expressions, all of them sent messages to their superiors about it.
Starlight Guild HQ, Imperial City;
A handsome, well-built young man entered guild residence. As soon as he appeared, the guild members in the residence stood up in respect and greeted him.
He greeted back with a smile that caused a commotion among the female players.
He's Rigel, a top graduate of Lakeshire Medical University but chose to become a professional gamer instead, which actually brought a lot of criticism and eventually got kicked out of the home by his father, who is a hospital director.
He's now working with Star Group, a Giant corporation like Scarlet, and is currently serving as the Vice Guild leader of Starlight with a salary of 5 million credits per month, which is 100 times more than what an average pro-gamer with a bit of popularity can earn.
Back to the Guild, as Rigel made his way towards the Guild storage to submit the equipment and finally exchange it with his desired level-100 epic grade necklace that their Guild Leader put it up for him suddenly halted his steps after receiving a message from one of the Guild Elites.
Wecia: A word from one of my messengers. It seems someone managed to enter the palace.
Forgetting about everything else, Rigel concentrated on communicating with Wecia and started asking her about the details. After she told his name and level, Rigel mumbled, "Time Traveler? I'm sure I've heard this name before. But, where…"
Rigel: So, which guild is he from? Is it a big guild?
Wecia: Uhh… it's a guild called Scarlet. I have never heard of it before. Should I try poaching him into our Guild, right away?
"Scarlet? Oh… f*** I remember him now. East Ocean City's Scarlet's guild leader. He's rumored to be the young master of Scarlet Securities. If the rumors are true, then, I should proceed with caution. Ugh… very troublesome. What to do…"
After thinking for a while, he sighed, "Let's just dump it onto Guild leader's head *cough* I mean consult. Yes. I'm just asking his opinion."
He immediately sent a message to their Guild leader, Starlight.

Two hours later,
Wil and the guardians are waiting silently at the king's court. Glancing at the ministers who were looking curiously at him, Wil thought, "Hmm, are these NPCs cautious of me or something?
For the past two hours, they keep on glancing at me but no one has yet to speak a word.
Maybe, they are waiting for me to introduce myself? And it seems this Raziel also didn't arrive. Speaking of Raziel, it is really interesting that…"
While Wil lost in thoughts, the door guard announced the King and Raziel are arriving together.
Wil stood up with everyone.
"The f***"
Wil was taken aback as he soon as he saw the King and an old man, who is following him like a servant. This old man surprisingly has two pairs of angelic wings on his back.
But, it wasn't what shocked Wil. It's the King himself. He has an outstandingly beautiful face, voluptuous body. As he was walking while swaying his hips, everyone in the court, whether it's a male or female just stared at him in awe. Even Wil felt that his insides for burning for a second.
Wait a second. Beautiful? Voluptuous? He?
"What kind of stupid setting is this? It's a f*****g woman, who is cross-dressing as a man.
Ugh… I really wonder why they are calling her a King instead of Queen. I guess there might be a background story or maybe, it's just her fantasy?"
Mirella Llyne
Level: 362
Description: The current King of the Llyne Kingdom. She's the firstborn daughter of the late King. Due to having no male heirs, the Late King forcefully made her grew up as a man.
Raziel Blain
Level:????
Description: The guardian of the Royal Family of Llyne Kingdom.
"Oh, boy! The King was such an a**h**e. Can't he just change the system and allow her rule as a Queen, instead? Hmm, if I'm not wrong, in this setting, she's attracted to girls, right? What a waste…"
His eyes lingered on her certain body part for a second before he came back to his senses. "Argh… you fool. That's a game character. It's not even real. Everything is just illusion here."
*Ding. You resisted Mirella's charm.
Only then, he realized that this King has a passive effect that lets her attract others unknowingly.
Meanwhile, the king and Raziel who were walking towards the throne suddenly stopped as they were passing Wil.
For a couple of seconds, Wil felt the feeling of someone prying into the soul to dig up for secrets as Raziel looked into his eyes. The same feeling he felt back he faced Aerona.
"So, it's you, Young man. You are the one who killed one of the corrupted guardians, right?"
The King looked at Wil curiously and asked Raziel, "Who is he? Your guest?"
Before Raziel replied, Wil bowed and greeted them, "greetings your majesty, Lord Raziel. I'm Time Traveler, an adventurer from East Ocean city."
While the King nodded indifferently after finding nothing special about Wil, and continue to walk, Raziel spoke with a smile, "it looks like you used to have fate with the Ruins. But, it disappeared now. I see, so, you are the one who solved the mystery of the Ruins of Marten. Good job."
"Hmm, unlike Aerona, he can't sense Seraph's aura inside of me."
Putting his thoughts aside, Wil admitted the truth and lightly bowed, "thank you."
As the King and Lord Raziel took their seats, everyone sat down. As Raziel whispered something into her ears, The King pointed Wil and asked, "Let's begin with you. So, what is the reason you desired an audience with me?"

Scarlet Securities HQ, Ares City;
Elyssa sat nervously before two officials of the parent company after going through all those tests while they took out the print and checked her individual round scores.
"Sigh… Too bad…"
Her heart thumped at that moment hearing that she was about to fail.
"I failed?"
As she started to mentally prepare herself, The Official continued, "War Online didn't have fighter classes."
"Eh?" A stunned look appeared on Elyssa.
He smiled as he handed her the printout, "Congratulations, Ms. Strike. You are selected. Since your overall score is B, you don't need to attend the final interview. We'll contact you again in a few days to proceed with the contract."
Elyssa exited the building in excitement and called his brother while momentarily forgetting about her friend.

Deadrum Hills, Reverie Kingdom;
Crimson Sun a.k.a. Bran is massacring his enemies of 100-200 while Sierra resurrected at the city and returning with a greater number.
"Run… This guy is a demon."
Just like a Lightning God, his body was covered by Lightning. His gaze was cold as he continued to disappear and appear at different places while slicing the enemies like tofu.
All of a sudden, he received a call from the real world. After looking at the number, Bran quickly picked it up and said, "El, I'm in the middle of battle. I'll call you later."
After disconnecting it, he continued his massacre.

Scarlet HQ, Ares City;
"Ah, Okay." A trace of disappointment appeared on Elyssa as she wasn't able to share the good news.
