Even though Kushina feeling guilty, the fight never stops, it continues to become harsher and harsher as time goes by 

The Root disregards their own life their friend, comrade, and even themself just to kill Xin and Kushina.

While Kushina on the other hand is having a hard time solving them, Xin can still see that Kushina is trying to save them even though they are committing suicide just to kill her.
