Uchiha's Taijutsu Supreme

Chapter 106: The Evolution of Earthly Furnace

This was Satori's ninth resurrection.

This time, as soon as Fuma merely touched a thread of him, Satori immediately chose to disintegrate, transforming into strands of negative energy and dissipating into the air.

Fuma stood quietly in place, waiting for Satori to reappear once again.

Since Fuma had killed Satori several times, the environment inside the Box of Ultimate Bliss had undergone a massive transformation.

When Fuma first entered, the interior of the City of Bliss was eerie and terrifying, but from an environmental perspective, one could still call it lively.

The black winds howled, skeletons wailed, blood pools on the ground bubbled ominously, and Satori, the chatterbox, constantly babbled, relentlessly trying to attack Fuma's mind.

It was like they were banging drums and gongs to welcome Fuma, who had come to give some personal guidance on the Box of Ultimate Bliss.

But now, there was a deathly silence here, as if time itself had pressed the pause button. Even when Satori resurrected, the black smoke formed from negative energy only quietly gathered, without making a sound.

There was no sound, no light, no smell. The air had thickened, losing its ability to carry anything.

Satori appeared once more, silently floating in the sky. His pitch-black body merged with the darkness, becoming the perfect camouflage at this moment.

"Is this trying to deprive me of my senses?"

Fuma remained silent, feeling the deathly stillness of the environment.

Studies have shown that in a sealed environment, if an intelligent being loses all their senses, it only takes three days before they go mad from a physiological breakdown, descending into severe mental problems.

Even in the world of shinobi, where extraordinary powers exist, the deprivation of the senses is terrifying. Even the Tailed Beasts find it hard to escape such punishment.

Years ago, when Minato split the Nine-Tails into Yin and Yang halves, the Yin Nine-Tails had the most violent chakra in the world, theoretically even harder to tame than Naruto's Yang Nine-Tails.

And yet, the Nine-Tails, who should have been a mortal enemy of Minato, shared sixteen years of imprisonment in the belly of the Death God. Upon seeing the light of day again, their minds were connected, propelling Minato to become a perfect Jinchuriki.

One could only say that in such conditions, the Nine-Tails had no choice but to forget its hatred and seek comfort from Minato, opening its heart in the process...

Satori silently opened his mouth wide, sensing Fuma's emotions, waiting to taste his fear and anxiety, longing for revenge.

The environment Fuma found himself in was the Box of Ultimate Bliss's true lethal move, the secret that allowed it to assimilate the souls it devoured.

For hundreds of years, countless beings had been swallowed into this place. Perhaps some were strong enough to defeat Satori, but none had been able to overcome the boundless darkness.

"Despair, panic, and finally go mad!"

A strong emotion surged in Satori's heart. The torment he had endured from Fuma had pushed the creature to its limit.

"Die, die, die, die!"

But as soon as Satori's thoughts surged, a claw silently appeared in front of him, instantly piercing his heart.

Satori let out a heart-wrenching scream, cursing Fuma loudly as his body disintegrated once again.

The reason for Satori's agonized cry was not so much physical pain as it was the mental torment he was now enduring from Fuma.

Fuma licked the black blood off his hand and smacked his lips, thinking to himself:

"Depriving the senses... truly a tyrannical ability..."

"However, it seems my taste buds are still working..."

Fuma, possessing a body fortified by [Inseparable Union], could perhaps mitigate some of the effects if the sensory deprivation ability were directly applied to his body.

But the Box of Ultimate Bliss changed the environment itself, passively creating a sensory-deprived space.

The only external perception Fuma had left came from bloodlust.

Ironically, bloodlust, composed of malice and killing intent, was particularly sensitive to beings like Satori, a creature made of pure negative energy.

If Satori couldn't control his malice toward Fuma, then in Fuma's mind, Satori would stand out like a beacon in the night.

And the interesting question was, could this creature control its emotions?

If it could, would it still desire to devour Fuma?

These two questions formed a closed loop, seemingly unsolvable for Satori...

In this deathly silent world, Fuma and Satori, two beings capable of perceiving malice, began a battle of willpower.

"Why, why, why!"

It was obvious—Satori had failed to control his malice once again. In the darkness, he revealed his position.

Fuma moved like lightning. As soon as Satori had a thought, Fuma would tear his body apart in the next moment.

"Satori, for a creature born of negative emotions, it's laughable how poorly you control your power..."

"Even more pathetic is the fact that, as a puppet of the Box of Ultimate Bliss, you are forced to follow the rules set by the Sage of Six Paths."

"Give up. Stop struggling. Join me, and together, we'll bring light to this world of shinobi!"

Through Satori's repeated resurrections, Fuma had noticed something surprising: the Box of Ultimate Bliss seemed to be forcing Satori to resurrect.

If Satori chose not to revive, Fuma would only be able to slowly absorb the remaining energy of the Box of Ultimate Bliss through bloodlust, patiently waiting for a change.

The Box of Ultimate Bliss, with defenses impervious to attacks like Sage Art: Giant Rasengan and Tailed Beast Bombs, was currently even harder than Fuma's own body.

If Fuma wanted to break free by force, it would be nearly impossible—he could only wait for a shift, though who knew how long that would take.

Now, with every resurrection, Satori brought the power of the Box of Ultimate Bliss with him, allowing Fuma to quickly absorb this pure energy—essentially "aiding the enemy."

Once again resurrected, Satori heard Fuma's devilish whisper and was utterly enraged, but he had no retort.

The key was that Fuma had guessed the truth.

When the Sage of Six Paths first designed the Box of Ultimate Bliss, he intended it as a repository to dissipate the negative emotions of living beings.

Satori's existence had never been part of the Sage's design.

It was only after the Sage returned to the Pure Land that the Box of Ultimate Bliss malfunctioned, compressing its negative energy into a demon, which replaced the Box's original function.

No matter how powerful Satori was, all his abilities were granted by the Box of Ultimate Bliss, and he could not defy the rules set by the Sage of Six Paths.

Fuma, filled with malice, was like a virus, something the rules of the Box of Ultimate Bliss were designed to eliminate.

As the tool of this cleansing, Satori, bound by the rigid rules of the Box, was forced to resurrect over and over to deal with Fuma.

Resurrection and devouring, tearing apart and absorbing—within this tiny world of the Box of Ultimate Bliss, the process repeated endlessly between Fuma and Satori.

This deadly game continued on, perhaps for a long time, or perhaps it all happened in the span of mere seconds. The concept of time had become hazy...

Satori's ninety-ninth resurrection.

At this moment, Satori was cowering in a corner, shielding his body with his two wings. His once-rigid black feathers had wilted, and he desperately tried to suppress his malice, hoping not to be discovered by Fuma.

Fuma's body was now enveloped in black energy. After so many hunts, most of the negative energy within the Box of Ultimate Bliss had been absorbed into him.

The severe injuries inflicted by Madara's Planetary Devastation had long since healed, and more importantly, the negative energy was dramatically reshaping Fuma's body, even altering his very genes.

Sensing the emotions carried by the bloodlust, Fuma locked onto a direction and began walking slowly, step by step...

The heavy footsteps echoed with each step, as black energy scorched the ground, emitting a "sizzling" sound.

The Box of Ultimate Bliss, which sealed the five senses, had been severely weakened due to the diminishing negative energy.

Fuma approached, but Satori did not choose to flee again. Instead, he collapsed weakly in place, awaiting the scene that had played out countless times before.

"One who harbors fear in their heart cannot overcome the Box of Ultimate Bliss. Those were your exact words to me."

"So, now that you fear me, do you still have the confidence to win?"

Fuma asked gently, as if he were offering encouragement.

He stood before Satori, but this time, he did not immediately devour him. Instead, he carefully sensed Satori's emotions.

Having absorbed so much negative energy, Fuma seemed to be experiencing some strange effects as well. His personality gradually became more sinister.

"To remain unchanged, one must seek evolution. It seems even I cannot fully resist the Box of Ultimate Bliss's corruption..."

Fuma reflected inwardly, feeling his thoughts grow more chaotic, and silently critiqued himself.

His hardened claws gently stroked Satori's wings. Satori's feathers bristled, but soon laid flat in resignation, as if unwilling to resist any further.

Seeing Satori's dejected response, Fuma shook his head, feeling a tinge of dissatisfaction.

Such an attitude—how could he gather more negative energy, enough to satisfy his hunger in one go?

"You've realized it too, haven't you? You're just a puppet of the Box of Ultimate Bliss, a plaything of the Sage of Six Paths, a pitiful wretch who shouldn't even exist in this world."

"Why, after playing with human hearts for hundreds of years, do you now feel fear toward me?"

"Admit it. My bloodlust can sense your inner fear. You're terrified of me."

Fuma's voice was soft as he leaned in close to Satori's ear, whispering slowly.

"Don't get too full of yourself!"

Satori's body stopped trembling. Fuma's words had deeply provoked him.

Satori roared, and his broken body surged with a red-black energy, ready to detonate in a final confrontation with Fuma.

But Fuma merely smirked with contempt and ruthlessly pierced Satori's throat, hoisting him high before slamming him into the ground with force. Yet, he spared Satori's life once more.

Kneeling beside Satori, Fuma sighed and said:

"Instead of fearing, you should embrace pain."

"Experience pain, feel pain, accept pain, understand pain. A creature that knows not the meaning of pain will never gain true power."

"Your flesh is becoming more and more scarce. This time, I'll start with your wings..."

Satori's eyes flashed with hatred, but with his throat pierced, he could only make faint, inaudible sounds.

Once again, Satori turned into black smoke. Fuma, holding the juicy wing in his hand, thought for a moment and then ignited a fire technique, starting to roast it.

"Satori's revival is getting slower and slower..."

"If the Box of Ultimate Bliss refuses to let me leave, then I won't hold back..."

Fuma leisurely flipped the wing over as he cooked it.

Upon seeing Fuma's actions, Satori, who had just revived, fell into deep despair.

......

Outside the Box of Ultimate Bliss~

A White Zetsu with a poop-shaped head camouflaged itself in the ground, grumbling:

"So boring. That old man Madara really knows how to boss people around. As he gets older, he gets even more rigid!"

"What's so special about this box anyway? Twenty years, and he still hasn't told me what poop feels like. What a terrible guy..."

"Little White, A-Grass, and A-Tree, all taken by Madara and never came back..."

"Even Ajin, the strongest of us, is now half-dead. Who knows what Madara did to him..."

"I'm half-dead myself, and I heard it was his own junior who beat him like this. Really disgraceful for someone with the Rinnegan..."

This White Zetsu aimlessly rolled around in the dirt, seemingly dissatisfied with life, like a middle-aged man who didn't want to go home after work, endlessly complaining about his boss.

After the battle with Fuma, Madara's chakra had been severely depleted, and even the last "Chibaku Tensei" was released by forcibly consuming his life force.

After seeing his wish destroyed by Fuma, Madara could no longer hold on and retreated in defeat.

Had it not been for the Uzumaki woman he saved, who awakened a special kekkei genkai that could rapidly restore Madara's chakra through her own flesh, Madara might have been in real danger.

Now, Madara was hooked up to the Gedo Statue by numerous tubes, resembling the state he was in when he first met Obito in the original timeline, reduced to a feeble old man.

But he was still uneasy about the Box of Ultimate Bliss. The young Uchiha Madara who had once emerged from the box made him feel a strange desire to merge with him.

This White Zetsu was stationed here under Madara's orders, keeping watch over the box to observe any changes and to see if it could be reopened in the near future.

"Eh, eh, eh, eh, eh!"

"This black box is finally showing some changes!"

White Zetsu exclaimed excitedly. After three months of guarding, he finally saw something different.

The pitch-black Box of Ultimate Bliss was rapidly fading, revealing a pale hue.

The lion's head on the box slowly opened its mouth, and out stepped a demonic figure.

Over the course of three months, Fuma had absorbed all the negative energy from the Box of Ultimate Bliss, effectively purging this treasure meant to spawn demons.

Although the box now held only the chakra equivalent of a single-tailed beast, Fuma wasn't interested in chakra. What mattered most to him was its advanced devouring ability.

Fuma slowly walked out, giving a friendly wave to the distant White Zetsu before nostalgically glancing at the now-white Box of Ultimate Bliss. He then sat cross-legged on the ground, awaiting his metamorphosis.

The [Earthly Furnace] swirled in a chaotic twist, as black, inky negative energy flowed into the shape, writhing like a crazed serpent. A greedy, devouring desire burned in Fuma's eyes.

With a loud roar, Fuma unleashed a terrifying energy wave, a black beam shooting toward the sky, recklessly venting his power.

"Hahaha!"

A gale swept through, scattering the energy, and the explosive smoke revealed Fuma's transformed figure to the distant White Zetsu.

"What... is that thing?!"

White Zetsu cried out in terror.

Fuma had now grown over thirty meters tall, with powerful muscles morphing into four black wings, the bottom adorned with intricate streaks of blood-red.

His bulging muscles gleamed with a dark crimson hue, reflecting a metallic sheen like armor, while a black-golden mark had formed on his chest, resembling a miniature Satori.

His once-vulnerable joints were now twisted into reverse-bends, encased in hard bone, with sharp spikes protruding.

Fuma examined his new body with satisfaction, then carefully studied the evolving symbols, savoring his new abilities.

[Earthly Furnace] >>> [Blissful Gluttony]!
