[TS] Malicious Sniper

Chapter 25

Is it because the game screen was covered and the matchmaking was running?

A great disaster did not occur during the ban process regarding Yone.

“But it’s Yone’s first game… No matter how I think about it, it feels like a burden…”

“It’s okay. I can do more to make up for Curry’s share.”

Stupid laughter, kekeke

Curry, just accept it already

If you can’t avoid it, you must enjoy it

Look at these guys talking like it’s not their problem

You don’t need side dishes just by watching part 2 collabs

My side dish, our kid is someone else’s

Annoyed… Annoyed… Annoyed…

Why is your kid someone else’s, you crazy person? LOL

Curry kept worrying despite my reassurance.

The contemplation lasted until the timer hit 1.

After keeping silent, Curry asked me for confirmation again.

“…I really pick it. You must bear with it.”

“I’ve already had a lot of burden during part 1.”

Seeing Curry stalling was painful, so I dissed him, and Curry immediately picked Yone.

Is he sulking, perhaps?

LOL

LOL

That’s true, haha

He was carrying Curry’s pocket for three hours

For real, lol

“Just kidding, just kidding. Curry did well, so it wasn’t that hard.”

I offered a comforting word to prevent Curry from sulking.

Curry responded in a weak voice.

“Please make it clear if it’s a compliment or sarcasm…”

“If you have some sense… you should know.”

“…I’m a sinner. Yeah.”

Ah, this is too much fun.

I want to bother him more.

Those thoughts kept popping up, but I stopped.

I’m the type to save the best for last when it comes to food.

Wow, spicy talk is hard to adapt to

Tonight’s side dish is a bit spicy, lol

I can’t breathe

These two talking is so uncomfortable

That’s because you’ve never talked to a girl…

Wide area damage, you fool

Host!!! Get rid of the deceiver!!!

As I continued to talk with Curry, the ban-pick phase was completed.

The jungle champion I chose was the solid tier 1 Eles.

Actually, I could have picked some entertainment champions, but “Barcode” had to be a serious, “pure skill type.”

If I showed a similar performance to “Nayun Queen,” the notorious sniper in Curry’s room, the Sherlocks in the background might figure out my identity.

The chance of Barcode enjoying the game and revealing my true identity was extremely low, but I wanted to eliminate even the slightest probability, so I decided to play only champions with guaranteed performance.

Ah, of course I will still enjoy the game when sniping as Nayun Queen, but I have a huge pile of new meta builds I want to try out, so after the collab, I will torment them endlessly.

As I pondered about various things, the game began before I knew it.

In fact, Curry had never played Yone even once.

For Curry, who solely dedicated himself to the top lane, the other lanes were unfamiliar.

Many wondered how one could only play top lane, but Curry didn’t understand those who dug into other wells when one well wasn’t enough.

Some might say he was stubborn, and others would call it having no backdoor.

However, if asked if he didn’t know how to play other lanes at all, that would be incorrect.

It was just that when he played other lanes, Curry’s skill would drop from diamond 1 level to diamond 4 level.

He had a decent understanding of lane concepts.

Thus, Curry was more worried than excited for the part 2 stream with Barcode.

Could he really perform well? He kept pondering but had no choice.

His usual confidence was replaced with low tension and a sense of coldness.

But no matter how cold Curry was, he couldn’t help but get fired up after seeing the champion picked by the mid-laner.

The opposing mid-champion was none other than Kassadin, a counter to AP.

Curry had surely first-picked Yone, and Yone was AD.

Kassadin disadvantageously matched against AD champions; how did he end up picking Kassadin after Yone was first-picked?

It could only be seen as a direct disrespect.

Minions have spawned.

That mid-laner openly aimed for Curry, so he intended to win no matter what.

With that mindset, Curry awaited the minions.

Not long after, the minions arrived, and the laning phase against Kassadin began.

Typically, a Kassadin would level the definitive skill Q at level 1 to poke.

Of course, that’s only if the opponent is ranged and AP.

“Curry, Kassadin leveled W at level 1. Don’t give him distance; poke him with Q while he last-hits the minions.”

“How did you know Kassadin leveled W at level 1…? Ah.”

Curry questioned Barcode’s coaching as soon as the lane phase started.

However, that doubt vanished as he verified that Kassadin’s basic attack damage was hitting harder than his own.

Kassadin’s W had a passive effect that added damage to his basic attacks.

Curry followed Barcode’s advice and used Q to poke every time Kassadin aimed for the last hit on minions.

“I’ll go for a gank after 3 camps at level 3. Keep the lane in that state and prepare E for a response.”

“Got it.”

Following Barcode’s orders, Curry leveled E and managed to maintain the lane without it pushing or pulling.

As a result, Eles, who came down from the top river at the right timing for the cannon wave, attempted a gank.

Eles’ cocoon hit Kassadin, trapped among the minions, and Curry responded with an E-enhanced Q combo.

First Blood!

Kassadin, who had no mobility before learning his ultimate, was rendered powerless and died.

Since he burned his flash, the following lane phase would greatly benefit Yone.

Having pushed the lane and returned home, Curry bought two Daggers to increase attack speed and one health potion.

Returning back to lane, he attempted to harass Kassadin, who was trying to push with a big wave.

Due to a large number of minions stacking up, both Yone and Kassadin’s health dropped below half.

Curry decided to take a risk before all the enemy minions died.

He used his E to chase after a fleeing Kassadin and then closed in with an enhanced Q.

Despite mixing auto-attacks and Q to accumulate as much damage as possible, the mark remained red.

Kassadin already entered under the tower, so Curry had to use Q Flash to finish him off.

However, what Curry’s Yone showcased was not a Q Flash but a Flash Q.

What should have been a Q Flash kill was just barely missed due to the wrong order.

Ultimately, Curry had to return empty-handed using E again and swallowed hard.

“Curry.”

“Y-yes!”

Hearing the cold voice made Curry tense up nervously.

“People can make mistakes.”

“T-that’s of course!”

“Of course?”

“…Mistakes shouldn’t happen in the first place. I think I might have been a bit crazy.”

I can’t breathe.

Even though my body was breathing, my mind felt like it had already sunk to the depths of the ocean.

“I understand since it’s your first game with Yone.”

“…”

“But shouldn’t you be good at basic combos like the Q Flash?”

“…”

“Answer.”

“I usually do them often and well!”

Curry felt extreme fatigue.

If someone told him to put his head down on the desk and grow up right now, he could fall asleep instantly.

Curry inwardly wished someone would save him from this situation.

“It’s okay. Just do well from now on. But since I’m in the teaching position, if I don’t see you improving… ”

“I’ll work hard!”

“Does that mean you weren’t trying hard until just now?”

“No, that’s not it! I meant I’ll try harder!”

“Is that so?”

“Yes.”

He recalled the time in school when he didn’t do his homework and was scolded by the teacher at the back of the class.

Being scolded in front of dozens of classmates was quite exhausting.

Curry could see in Barcode the figure of the teacher who scolded him.

He never thought he would feel this way as a grown adult.

With a bitter feeling in his stomach, Curry turned his attention back to the game.

Whether young or grown, he hated being scolded.

“Run away with your ultimate; the opposing Amumu and Alistar are below.”

“If I stack two and use an E Q Flash ultimate combo, I can get a kill on Kai’Sa.”

“Today, you learned the two-step wall jump to escape! Well done.”

After that, Curry diligently followed Barcode’s advice.

With a diamond’s vision, he couldn’t possibly see the ‘angles’ of a challenger.

But by acting according to the advice, he was able to continually stack up advantages through angles that were truly unseen.

Thus, the game ended smoothly with Eles and Yone carrying.

After finishing the game, Curry took his hands off the mouse and keyboard and looked down at his hands.

‘Maybe I… have a talent for Yone?’

He hard-carried from the first game.

No matter how much he had the advice from the challenger Yone master, one must have the skill to follow through with the advice.

Even if my understanding and brainpower for Yone were unknown, isn’t my ‘physical ability’ genuine?

Maybe I really do have a talent for Yone?

Just as that thought crossed his mind, Barcode’s praise continued.

“You did better than I expected for a first game.”

“Really? You’re not going to say ‘just kidding’ when I nod my head?”

“I’m not that bad of a person.”

Somehow, receiving praise felt uncomfortable.

Curry came to his senses and shook his head, answering inwardly.

No.

You’re a bad person.

I’ve experienced it several times during today’s stream.

Curry tightly closed his mouth to prevent his true feelings from spilling out.

Then, after leaving the game and accepting Barcode’s invitation, he matched again.

Not long after, the match was set up.

[Nayun Queen has entered.]

[IlilIililI has entered.]

[The Lonely Gourmet has entered.]

[Curry Pirate Crew Captain has entered.]

[Sup is free has entered.]

Curry shuddered at the familiar nicknames in the waiting room.

Facing Barcode was already daunting, but now Nayun Queen had come to snipe him in this situation?

“Hmmm… I happened to match with Nayun Queen?”

“Oh, do you know that guy… Nayun?”

As Barcode pretended to know Nayun Queen, Curry was surprised and questioned.

“Of course, I know. He often shows up on Curry’s stream, right?”

“Oh… Do you watch my stream often?”

“Yes.”

“But why didn’t you tell me?”

“Because you didn’t ask?”

Curry felt dizzy again.

He had suspected since part 1 when they were targeting him, but to think Barcode often watched his stream!

“This will be interesting. This game.”

“Ugh…”

Curry let out a painful gasp.

Not just one, but two pests?

And the name of his allied AD carry wasn’t normal either.

It literally advertised, “I’m sniping you.”

Is this all karma?

Just as such thoughts crossed his mind, they dodged.

“Such a pity.”

“I’m not sorry at all.”

Thank God.

Curry genuinely thought so.

*

The part 2 collab with Curry ended safely.

Thanks to my excellent coaching, Curry achieved the feat of carrying three consecutive games with Yone.

He originally wanted to play more, but since Curry handled Yone better than I expected, there was nothing further for me to coach.

Moreover, a deep fatigue showed in Curry’s voice, so I decided to let him go.

He was already satisfied with today’s performance.

[Don’t go!]

[Do you plan on doing a Q&A?]

[I want to hear your voice…]

[Do ASMR with a contemptuous voice, please]

[Ugh…]

[I almost told him to die, you fool.]

[Ugh.. You idiot. I did it for you ^^]

[Between Wandering Swordsman and Curry, who do you prefer?]

As the broadcast was coming to an end, various chats came up.

I didn’t know when I would stream again after today, but.

At least I had no intention of doing it often.

I realized that streaming was more challenging than I had thought.

I clasped my hands together and slowly reached them forward.

After stretching them out completely, I raised them upwards.

Ahhh…

As my stiff body relaxed, a sound escaped me without me realizing it.

As I was about to sign off, I lowered my stretching hands back onto the desk.

Thud-

In the process, my hand bumped the camera, adjusting its angle upward.

I quickly moved my hand to set it back to its original angle, but the camera clearly pointed at my face.

The thought that crossed my mind as I recalled the moment was just one.

Ah, I messed up.
