[TS] Malicious Sniper

Chapter 10

When Yone was released, there was a significant surge in Yasuo’s pick rate.

While it was partly due to the amazing ult combo between Yasuo and Yone, most users wanted to try facing Yone in the lane using Yasuo.

Despite the story’s lesser importance, even Leona had some level of influence.

Due to a false accusation, Yasuo was forced to kill his brother.

Yone, resurrected, came to understand Yasuo’s situation late.

Their story-connected relationship extended all the way to the Summoner’s Rift.

In the celestial realm, there was a famous Yasuo master.

A master who reached the ‘extreme’ of Yasuo, a player even pros fear.

While climbing the ranks with Yone, I often clashed with that Yasuo.

I had both won and lost many lane battles against him.

In the end, I was victorious in every game I played against him.

While the master at the ‘extreme’ had a sense of ‘romance’, he didn’t know the most important way to win games, so I could beat him.

That’s why I felt confident in my victory.

If I lost to that Yasuo one-trick, it would be just as rude to the Yasuo master who reached the ‘extreme’.

As the minions arrived in the lane, I stepped forward to push it.

The outcome of Yone and Yasuo was to be decided by the trade at level 2.

If Yasuo hits level 2 first, the matchup would turn unfavorable in an instant.

From level 1, Yasuo was actively trying to zone me out.

However, Yasuo’s blades didn’t touch me, and instead, I ended up zoning him out and peeling off his shield, chipping away at his health.

The difference in skill shots was evident, but the matchup itself couldn’t be easily overcome by physical differences.

If Yasuo hit level 2 first, the tide would turn.

Fortunately, I hit level 2 first, and Yasuo followed suit.

I hit W immediately while Yasuo aggressively approached me, riding the minions.

It seemed he was aware of the early matchup with Yone, moving cautiously.

I slowly backed away while continuing to trade with Yasuo.

At the perfect timing, I used W to absorb damage.

The damage was reduced as Bone Shield, the Resolve’s secondary rune, procced.

Yasuo took Precision and Domination runes, so there was no Bone Shield present.

I successfully led the allied minions to attack Yasuo uncontested, but I hadn’t overwhelmingly won the trade.

The trading continued longer than I expected, and with Yasuo’s Conqueror active, he tried to go all in, but the next minion wave arrived, turning the tides.

No matter how much his Conqueror popped, it was foolish to trade while dealing with the minion damage at the start.

Yasuo, trying to extend the trade for a kill angle, soon realized that he was being focused on by the minions and retreated on his minions.

Yasuo, left in a dying state from the intense trade, had no choice but to shrink back.

Of course, I didn’t have great health due to the drawn-out trade either.

But it was okay.

The rune I took was Nimble Footwork, which directly contributed to lane sustain.

I slowly pushed the lane until the next cannon wave appeared.

Coincidentally, Yasuo couldn’t go back home as the cannon wave approached due to his low health from my aggressive forward movement.

After the trading, I took a potion, and thanks to multiple proccs of Nimble Footwork, I almost fully recovered.

What I was aiming for was to kill Yasuo while he waited to soak the big wave.

This inevitably meant I would dive, but diving required sufficient health.

And at that moment, my health situation was optimal.

At the timing when two nearby melee minions died, I stacked my second Q, hit level 3, and learned E to set up the kill angle.

This was somewhat of a gamble.

I assumed Lilyan wouldn’t be close to mid, so it was a calculated kill angle.

I rushed in with E Q Flash toward Yasuo, who was complacent in the tower.

Caught by surprise by Yone’s ambush, Yasuo couldn’t react.

Ultimately hit by Q, Yasuo was knocked airborne.

The merciless attack continued with Yone.

[First Blood!]

Facing turret damage, I couldn’t hold on any longer.

I used E again to inflict about 100 fixed damage to Yasuo, finishing him off.

After taking two turret shots, my health fell below half, but it was fine.

My spell was Teleport, not Ignite.

Normally, in such a situation, I would go home and Teleport back to lane.

But I trusted the nearby Udyr and pushed the lane.

Looking at the top while pushing, I saw Lucian properly pressuring Garen.

Garen had the worst matchup against ranged champions, so it was natural he was getting pushed.

Especially in top, where the impact of picking first or last is significant, I could gauge how much stress Curry was under right now.

After pushing the lane and hitting level 4, I jumped straight to the top.

Nayun Princess (Yone) is on the way

Nayun Princess (Yone) is on the way

Umarha (Udyr) is on the way

Umarha (Udyr) has focused on Garen (Lucian)

The allied Udyr I met at the riverside headed top with me.

Not long after, we almost arrived, and at that moment Garen, enduring the pressure from Lucian, decided to go all out and used his ultimate.

Perhaps thinking he had an opportunity even at a distance, Lucian didn’t use his escape, and the moment silence hit, Udyr stunned Lucian.

Noticing the situation late, Lucian escaped using E and Flash.

But the frenzied Udyr, with Rampage, Ghost, and Light’s Cloak active, chased down Lucian to finish him off.

“Udyr!!! Now that’s the real Udyr master!”

Curry’s delighted voice rang in my ears.

Udyr did perform well, but did I forget something?

Suddenly, Curry felt a bit annoying, and I began to feel a little malicious.

Nayun Princess (Yone): What about me?

“A ranged champion just walks into the top like it’s nothing!”

Was Curry’s pent-up frustration bursting out, busily mocking Lucian’s death.

Not just once, but to make me feel malicious twice.

I took my time to type out in the chat.

Nayun Princess (Yone): Answer me

Nayun Princess (Yone): 3

Nayun Princess (Yone): 2

Nayun Princess (Yone): 1

The Lonely Gourmet (Garen): You’re doing great, you’re the best

Nayun Princess (Yone): Right? Hehe

Sigh… What the hell did that guy’s master say…*”

Had Curry come down with a case of reality check, he lamented with an old man’s voice.

Just listening to Curry’s reaction sent a strange thrill throughout me.

After typing a bit more, I returned, bought items, and checked the situation in the bot lane.

Maybe they lost the early trades, Samara and Nautilus were being pushed back hard by the enemy bot.

They seemed very precarious without health management, and I kept an eye on the bot in case I had to teleport at any time.

When both junglers didn’t encounter each other, they would typically be on opposite sides.

When I went top with Udyr, Lilyan was nowhere to be seen, so it was highly likely she was downwards.

Moreover, if I were Lilyan, I would have surely dove bottom.

As I watched the bot for a moment, sure enough, Lilyan appeared in the bush near the ancient stone turtle.

The dive was about to begin.

I had already pressed Teleport, and enemy Alistar was the first to enter.

Alistar aimed for allied Samara.

But thanks to Samara using her Flash correctly, Alistar’s knockup didn’t land.

Similarly, Lilyan’s W also failed to hit Samara.

With just one Flash, Samara dodged three of the enemy’s key skills.

Although Samara fell to the joint attack from Vayne and Lilyan…

I joined in after teleporting and finished off the three who were left low due to the turret.

[Enemy defeated.]

[On a killing spree.]

[On a rampage.]

As the enemy team spread in all directions, it took some time to finish them off.

Ultimately, I scored three kills, a huge gain.

‘The mid was covered by Udyr too…’

Our jungler wasn’t doing poorly.

Normally, in such cases, many junglers wouldn’t backup lanes at all.

But Udyr covered the lane on his own without pinging.

Back to mid, I took down Yasuo.

No further explanation was needed; the item difference between Yasuo and me was obvious.

With differences in basic physical ability and decision-making, how could he match up against this item gap?

[KDA 0/3/0]

Whether with Flash or not, whether stuck in the tower or roaming out, it didn’t matter.

If Yasuo showed up in front of my eyes, he was dead, and even with the backing of the enemy jungler and support, it was useless.

Yone’s E skill returning to its place was truly a crazy skill.

Thus, 10 minutes into the game, I became unstoppable.

[Dominating the battlefield!]

With a Ghostblade, Berserker’s Greaves, and Best Friend Dagger in hand, there was no one who could stop me.

[Avatar of the battlefield!]

Everywhere I went, the atmosphere turned bloody, and our kill scores soared.

[The legend has appeared!]

From the enemy’s perspective, Yone was a reaper.

A merciless reaper that seized lives merely upon appearing.

“Wow… this is insane.”

“Did you just see that combo?”

“His hands are so quick.”

“How did he know without vision? Is that what they call decision-making?”

At some point, Curry’s voice of admiration started echoing in the background.

Glancing sidelong at my phone with the broadcast screen on, I saw my Yone making an appearance on Curry’s stream.

Pfft.

I couldn’t help but smile at that sight.

Who would’ve thought this was Curry’s personal stream?

While Curry kept expressing admiration for my plays, a strange thrill overtook me.

This adrenaline rush signaled to me that I was truly alive.

As I turned my attention back to the game, I dazzled on with Yone even more extravagantly.

Although practical and reliable plays would be safer, the game’s balance was already entirely skewed.

I focused on finding Yasuo as much as possible.

Every time I encountered him, I took him down, and Yasuo gradually started to steer clear of me.

Yet, despite all this, Yasuo still didn’t want to leave the fountain.

The last time Yasuo was seen, his kill-death was 0/8/1.

All across the map, the enemy team had vanished.

It was another open game, a common occurrence in the Diamond tier.

Usually, I wouldn’t have felt any sort of emotion.

But since I’d been stepping on my toy—or rather, the streamer I was sniping—those who touched him were going down, which somehow felt satisfying.

[The enemy agrees to surrender 5 votes to 0.]

Deliberately not destroying the Nexus and exerting dominance resulted in a 15-minute surrender.

With the enemy Nexus exploding, this wrapped up Curry’s fourth promotional match.

The results screen popped up, and I immediately switched to Curry’s stream.

What came into view was a chat room throwing a wild celebration.

[Don’t mess around! Yone is invincible! Nayun is a goddess!!]

[Na Yeon’s goddess and then some, just don’t mess around!]

[Nayun princess above all!]

The insane chat filled with exclamations.

I took a sip of my drink while waiting for Curry to calm the chat down.

“Stop spamming!!”

[Stop spamming!!]

[Carry me, Nayun!]

As Curry’s single command flooded the chat room, it fell silent again.

With “stop spamming!” all over the place, Curry heaved a sigh of relief and said softly.

“From now on, if you keep spamming, I’ll turn off the stream.”

[It can’t be helped… aiyoyo…]

[What does that mean??]

[Ban, idiot! Haha.]

[Oh, I really—what the hell.]

[The tyrant mode is on!]

[Everyone, get down!!]

Thanks to Curry’s witty remarks, the atmosphere of the chat returned to normal.

Having cooled down the heated broadcast, Curry privately messaged ‘Nayun Queen’.

The Lonely Gourmet: You’ll probably snipe even if I tell you not to, right?

Nayun Queen: Yep

[Holy haha!]

[Wow, that’s so bold!]

[So shameless… seven layers of shamelessness… seven layers… seven layers…]

[Hahaha!]

[Really crazy, seriously.]

[Just laughing at the absurdity of it.]

[Haha, it’s amusing to see how shameless she is.]

Curry’s immediate response made the viewers burst out laughing.

Who would openly say they’d snipe right in front of the streamer?

Oh, it’s happening right here…

The Lonely Gourmet: By the way, I’m in the final stretch of my promotion.

Nayun Queen: Huh?

As Curry typed, he glanced at the camera and smiled.

The Lonely Gourmet: If you’re going to snipe, then do it.

The Lonely Gourmet: I’ll wipe the floor with you without leaving a trace.

[Are you finally losing your mind?]

[What? Dust-free cleaning? (Diamond’s chatter towards a high Master)]

[What the hell are you even saying? Haha.]

[So that’s why it was two losses?]

[Playing a game of give and take, huh?]

[Nah… the reward of the Queen…]

After Curry’s chat filled the room, there was a lull for a bit.

Noticing the oddity, Curry closed his messenger and opened his friends list looking for Nayun Queen.

But she wasn’t appearing anywhere in the friends list.

When he opened his messenger again, Nayun Queen’s name was greyed out.

[Whoa, haha, is that a delete?]

[Is this a delete or a shadow delete? HAHAHA!]

[Snipe vs the streamer!]

[Heh, that’s a serious showdown.]

[The one trying to snipe versus the one aiming to rank up.]

[Two prideful idiots clashing! Haha!]

Staring blankly at Nayun Queen’s name turned to grey, Curry couldn’t help but smile.

Then he switched the broadcast to a standby screen and began the psychological battle against the unseen sniper for the last promotion match.
