Travelling through the interstellar world, starting with the real and fake daughter

Chapter 65 - Mira

After the truth about the fake and real daughters was revealed, Mira Xi didn’t change her attitude towards Lucy despite her status as an illegitimate daughter. In fact, she kept her distance from Erica actively.

When Lucy left the Xi family to participate in the survival game, Mira was very active in supporting Lucy for a while, only to be silenced later by her family’s restrictions.

When Lucy had just reincarnated and hadn’t yet cleared her reputation as a waste, Mira was also very active in her livestream, arguing with those who defamed her and using donations to slap their faces along with her group of little friends.

It wasn’t until later, when Lucy “revealed” her cultivation and cleared her name as a waste, that Mira’s active presence in the livestream disappeared.

Seeing Mira’s eyes, which held an indescribable awe and caution but no jealousy or scheming, Lucy smiled slightly and said:

“I saw the foolish things you did. Why did you donate so much in the livestream? Didn’t you know that donations are split with the livestream platform? If you wanted to sponsor me, why didn’t you just give it to me directly?”

“I had no idea you had hidden moves. When those people spoke badly of you, I was so angry that I wanted to use donations to suppress them,” Mira said, her eyes brightening as if she had been revived.

Seeing what Lucy revealed step by step during the survival game, Mira knew that her friend was not as she had previously thought. Lucy was deeply hidden, so deeply that no one could see through her.

Mira wasn’t sad because of this; after all, she genuinely cared about Lucy.

But her brother said that everyone has their own unavoidable circumstances. If Lucy hadn’t hidden herself so well, she might not have had any chance to leave the Xi family.

Their friendship since childhood wasn’t fake. Lucy had never tried to harm her, and she hadn’t harmed her friends either. She felt that she had nothing to be ashamed of.

Hearing her brother’s words, Mira felt more at ease. When she heard that Lucy had returned, she couldn’t help but run out to ask her why she had deceived her.

However, when she saw Lucy, she felt that Lucy had completely changed. Not only was her demeanor cold, but her aura was even stronger than her brother’s, making Mira feel a bit out of breath and involuntarily instilling a sense of awe in her.

However, after Lucy spoke to her in that way, Mira found some familiar comfort.

Although Lucy seemed to be calling her foolish on the surface, it also showed that she didn’t consider her an outsider. Mira knew that Lucy and she weren’t distant anymore and that her friend didn’t treat her as an outsider.

Mira excitedly reached out and hugged Lucy’s arm, a gesture they often shared when walking together before.

Lucy smiled and lifted her arm, and Mira’s eyes lit up as she immediately hugged it.

“Lucy, your warrior aura is so imposing now. Everyone says you’re at least a level-five warrior. Is that true?” Mira, who was only a level two warrior, asked.

With Mira’s ability, she could at most discern a level four warrior. Anything above that would only be perceived as pressure on her.

Mira could hug Lucy’s arm because she believed that Lucy was still her friend, and also because Lucy had restrained her aura, allowing Mira to get close.

“No, I’m not,” Lucy said with a smile.

“That can’t be true. I can’t even tell your level, and you easily killed a level four mutated beast,” Mira said, looking as if she felt deceived.

“I’ve reached level six a few days ago,” Lucy said calmly.

“Ah, Lucy, from now on I’ll call you ‘sister.’ You must remember to look out for me,” Mira said, stunned for a moment before tightly hugging Lucy’s arm, clearly expressing her desire to cling to her.

Even though Mira was not strong, she knew that it was extraordinary for someone so young to already be at level six, so she realized her friend was truly exceptional.

To be able to walk alongside such an exceptional talent, Mira felt like she was also going to achieve great things.

Leaving aside Mira’s past friendship with the original host, Lucy also liked her straightforward and protective nature. As long as she didn’t change too much in the future, Lucy didn’t mind having her cling to her.

“Don’t worry, I’ll arrange special training for you and we’ll improve together,” Lucy said just as decisively.

Mira’s smile faltered. Special training? Improving together, ah…

“Don’t worry, I won’t give you a chance to slack off in the future,” Lucy reassured her strongly.

This was truly looking out for the girl. Otherwise, with Mira’s abilities, she wouldn’t survive the first wave of survival challenges after the apocalypse.

In fact, Mira’s cultivation potential was much better than the original host’s. After being drugged, the original host’s ability cultivation potential was only a regular C-grade, but Mira had a 3C rating.

However, due to her father’s frequent absence and her mother’s pampering, Mira was spoiled and often avoided training, which was why her abilities were as poor as the original host’s.

“This decision is good. I will fully support you, Lucy,” a somewhat lazy and clear male voice came over.

The two girls looked over to see a young man in his early twenties approaching. He was wearing training gear, clearly just coming from the training room.

“You really are my real brother,” Mira said with a hint of irritation.

“Seventh Brother!” Lucy greeted him with a smile.

“Welcome back, Lucy,” Ren Guang said with a double meaning.

“Thank you!” Lucy understood his meaning.

Ren Guang was quite different from his younger sister Mira. Before Erica returned to the Xi family, Ren Guang was the most outstanding direct descendant of this generation of the Xi family. At just twenty-one years old, he was already a late-stage Level 5 warrior.

The original host didn’t have much of a connection with this talented family member, as one was a genius and the other was considered useless, belonging to different circles.

But this young man was a good brother who cared for his sister, and he had a fondness for Lucy because of his affection for his sister. Given that the original host was the daughter of the family head, Ren Guang’s attitude towards her was quite favorable.

Even after the revelation that the original host was the daughter of a mistress, the young man did not treat her any differently and tolerated Mira’s antics. While this was mainly due to the young man’s good character, it was also because of the years of connection.

“The family head received a message from Elder Ding and is waiting for you in the family conference room with several other elders. This little fool volunteered to come and inform you, but until now, she hasn’t even delivered the main message,” Ren Guang said.

Ren Guang saw that his sister and Lucy were still as close as before and that Lucy still called him “brother” as she used to. Her feelings towards both of them hadn’t changed because of her transformation, and he was happy that Mira’s genuine affection had not been in vain.

It seemed that there was truth in the old saying that “fools have their own blessings.”

At that time, his sister went to great lengths for Lucy and received a lot of criticism from the family, even being scolded by their parents. The young girl was so upset that she cried.

If Lucy were to disregard their past friendship, Mira would definitely be greatly hurt.

He hadn’t forgotten how much Mira had suffered when malicious people mocked her for being naive that Lucy had played tricks on her.
