Chapter 1228 - 1228: Out of Sight
Chapter 1228: Chapter 1228: Out of Sight
“My God! So it turns out that Song Zishan isn’t a Song family member. Then… then how has she managed all these years? No, she’s an impostor, but who really is she? Does she know herself?”
Once the news was out, everyone was in uproar, each of them dumbfounded. Some even exaggeratedly covered their mouths, gaped, or rubbed their ears as if they had misheard.
However, after boiling over, the balcony fell into silence.
Everyone understood, Song Zishan was done for.
She must have done something wrong, offended Song Jinyan thoroughly, otherwise, the Song family wouldn’t have taken such drastic action.
Under normal circumstances, this kind of thing would be hushed up, known only among family members. They might even continue to interact as before. After all, after more than two decades of relationship, it’s not just like family; it’s like being real family.
But Song Jinyan obviously wasn’t willing, he didn’t give Song Zishan a chance.
Song Jinyan’s thunderous approach shocked everyone once again.
“I have something else, I’m going now.”
“Me too.”
“I’m taking off, let’s hang out another time.”
“Goodbye.”
Soon, the spacious balcony, that was just crowded, had cleared out. Meanwhile, across the street from the building, Song Zishan was still crouching from a distance, her mind in disarray, the cold wind finally bringing her some clarity.
Once she calmed down, Song Zishan trembled even more.
She wasn’t a Song family member?
How could this be?
Grandpa, grandma, dad, mom were so kind to her, how could she possibly not be a Song family member?
No, this certainly couldn’t be true.
Song Zishan tried to barge in to seek clarity from grandpa, but was mercilessly turned away by the security, no matter how much she threatened or bribed. In the end, out of anger, Song Zishan made a fierce threat, “Just you wait, I’ll make grandpa drive all of you out.”
Concerned about Song Zishan’s past glory, the guards were somewhat worried, but recalling it was Song Jinyan’s command, they steadfastly refused.
Song Zishan saw through this, fiercely cursed Song Jinyan in her heart, and knowing staying any longer was futile, she reluctantly left.
Leaving the compound, Song Zishan first went to find Jia Ming.
Dad was always so good to her, he definitely could give her an answer.
However, when Song Zishan arrived at Jia Ming’s residence, she found herself unable to enter. The gates were shut tight, and the guarded faces were expressionless, much more fierce than the guards at the compound.
They looked ruthless, experienced in violence.
At that moment, Song Zishan truly started to feel scared, fearful, and panicky. She stumbled away, and along the way, felt that everyone she encountered was sneering at her, wondering how everything had turned out this way?
Why?
Something must have happened!
Song Zishan thought about the time after Dad broke his legs and Mom, without hesitation, divorced him, leaving with nothing but the clothes she was wearing. Mom’s face looked awful then, her eyes toward them both had contained resentment and disdain.
However, since childhood, Song Zishan was more like Jia Ming; their relationship was better, couldn’t really talk to Mom at all.
Mother and daughter didn’t share a bond, and when Mom heartlessly abandoned Jia Ming after his disability, Song Zishan was furious, hurling harsh words. With no real maternal bond to begin with, they split right then.
They hadn’t interacted for years.
Now, Song Zishan was cast out from the Song family, momentarily homeless, and she dared not approach her old friends.
