Title: Cosmic Mindscape: Rise of a Hidden Power

Chapter 29: Chapter 29

A few weeks had passed since Alex made up his mind. The pieces had all fallen into place, and he'd quietly begun building his crypto portfolio, making small but steady gains. He didn't talk about it at work, keeping his head down as tasks piled up and conversations swirled around the office about the latest news or upcoming holidays. But in the background, his trading was progressing smoothly, each decision calculated and precise.

One evening, after a particularly long day at the office, Alex sat down with his family. His parents were in their usual spots in the living room, his father with the newspaper and his mother flipping through a cooking show. His sister was chatting away about her latest school project, but Alex had something important to say. He'd been thinking about this moment for weeks, rehearsing how he would explain it to them.

"So, I've been thinking about making some changes," Alex started, his voice calm but deliberate.

His mother glanced up from the TV, a slight frown forming. "What kind of changes, dear?"

"Well, I've been doing some trading," he explained, easing into the conversation. "Crypto, to be exact. And it's been going really well."

His father raised an eyebrow over the top of his newspaper. "Crypto? Isn't that risky?"

Alex nodded, acknowledging the concern. "It can be, yeah. But I've been really careful. I've been studying the market for a while, and with the way things are going, I've already started making decent money. Enough to think about quitting my job and focusing on it full-time."

His mother looked worried. "Quitting your job? Alex, you just started there. Are you sure this is a good idea?"

Alex smiled, understanding her concern. "I know it sounds sudden, but I've been planning this for a while. I'm not jumping into it blindly. I already have a steady stream of income coming in, and it's growing. I want to work from home, focus on this full-time, and eventually, I'll apply to work with some of the big trading platforms once I've built my portfolio to a respectable level."

His sister chimed in, "Wait, so you're just going to be at home, trading all day? That sounds awesome."

Alex chuckled. "It's not as glamorous as it sounds, but yeah, I'll be able to set my own schedule. No more long hours at the office, no more dealing with unpredictable bosses."

His father put the newspaper down, his expression serious. "Alex, I trust your judgment, but I want to make sure you're being careful. A stable job is important, especially in times like these."

"I understand, Dad," Alex replied. "But this is something I'm good at. I've already proven that I can do it, and I have a plan. I'm not just quitting on a whim. I've been building this for months, and now it's at a point where it can sustain me."

His mother still looked unconvinced, but Alex pressed on, reassuring her. "Mom, I've got this. I wouldn't be doing this if I wasn't confident. Plus, it's not like I'm going to disappear into thin air. I'll be right here, working from home. I just need you to trust me on this."

After a long pause, his mother sighed, her face softening. "Well, as long as you know what you're doing... I just don't want to see you struggle."

Alex smiled, relieved that the hardest part of the conversation was over. "I won't. I promise."

His sister jumped in again, clearly intrigued. "So, does this mean we're going to be rich?"

Alex laughed, shaking his head. "Not yet. But who knows? Maybe one day."

As the conversation settled, Alex felt a sense of relief wash over him. His family had their concerns, but they trusted him, and that meant the world. He knew this was just the beginning of a new chapter—one where he'd have more control over his life, his time, and his future.

In the weeks to come, he'd focus on growing his portfolio, keeping a low profile while steadily building his wealth. The long hours at the office were almost behind him, and soon, he'd be able to work at his own pace, meditating whenever he wanted, and finally having the quiet time he craved.
