Title: Cosmic Mindscape: Rise of a Hidden Power

Chapter 188: Chapter 187

The weeks passed quietly, with Alex immersed in his training inside Cognichip space. In the real world, the air was crisp as winter approached, but within the sanctuary of his study, time seemed to flow differently. Between training sessions, Eva kept him updated on world events, her holographic form flickering into existence during his breaks.

"Another small skirmish in the Central Coalition. They've been ramping up their efforts to gain access to the Stargazer forum," Eva reported neutrally one afternoon. Her voice was calm, yet the weight of the news was ever-present.

"They'll never get through," Alex said, his focus only half on the conversation. He was seated in a comfortable chair, his eyes closed as he mentally prepared for another session. "Eva, you're guarding the most advanced system in the world. Let them try."

"Indeed," Eva replied, her form flickering momentarily before the projection of world data faded away.

[Shall I prepare for your next session?]

Alex nodded. "Let's go back in."

The space around him shimmered as Cognichip took over, plunging Alex back into the holographic environment. Before him, the dynamic sequence of cosmic fire energy pulsated—wild, untamed, but no longer incomprehensible. Over weeks of focused effort, Alex had slowly decoded the underlying rhythm of the fire sequence. He was close, so close to completing the pattern.

"Cognichip, initiate pattern projection," Alex instructed, his voice calm and resolute.

"Pattern projection initiated," Cognichip responded. The cool, clinical tone of the AI seemed to echo in the vast space around him.

Before Alex, the fragmented pieces of the pattern he'd been studying began to coalesce. Lines of energy snapped into place, tracing the intricate curves and arcs that he had worked so hard to decipher. Slowly, a three-dimensional matrix took form, suspended in the air like a delicate sculpture made of light and energy.

It was breathtaking.

The matrix was unlike anything Alex had ever seen—a complex web of lines, each one vibrating at a specific frequency, weaving together into a shape that seemed to pulse with life. As the pattern solidified, the lines began to move, each following its own unique rhythm. Some shifted quickly, while others flowed at a more measured pace, but together they created a sense of harmony, a visual symphony that resonated with the natural rhythm of fire itself.

"Amazing," Alex breathed, stepping closer to the matrix. "This... this is perfection."

"Cognichip has completed the analysis," the AI reported. "The matrix represents the complete rhythm and sequence of the fire element. It is ready for integration with your soul power, should you choose to proceed."

Alex's hand hovered near the matrix, the energy so potent he could feel it even without direct contact. He knew that if he shaped his soul power into this matrix, it would allow him to control the cosmic energy in a way that had previously been impossible. His soul power would become the intermediary, guiding the energy of the cosmos into the fire sequence with precision.

But he wouldn't test it just yet. Not until he has cognichip run full stimulations on it.

Eva appeared beside him once more, her holographic form shifting as she brought up the latest reports. "Alex, in your absence from the outside world, things continue to change. Suprema has reached out to the Central Coalition, offering mediation in exchange for access to their technology. Meanwhile, Tera Nova has secured its borders with new alliances, and La Corona is consolidating her power."

"Sounds like business as usual," Alex remarked, though his mind was still focused on the matrix before him. The political landscape was ever-changing, but he knew that eventually, these nations would all be seeking the same thing—more power, more control. And the techniques on Stargazer's forum were becoming the most coveted asset in the world.

As Eva continued to speak, Alex's gaze returned to the matrix. The way the lines and curves moved was mesmerizing. There was something about it that felt right—as though this was the natural state of energy, the purest form of control. He could sense it deep within himself: once his soul power was aligned with this matrix, he would unlock something truly extraordinary.

"Cognichip," Alex called out, "run a simulation of the matrix's effects on cosmic energy once soul power is integrated."

"Running simulation," the AI responded.

The space around Alex shifted, and a new hologram appeared. This one depicted the flow of cosmic energy, wild and unpredictable, moving in erratic waves. As the matrix overlaid itself onto the energy, the waves began to shift. Slowly at first, and then with increasing precision, the chaotic energy began to fall in line, drawn into the rhythm of the matrix.

"The matrix acts as a regulator," Cognichip explained. "It aligns the chaotic energy with the natural rhythm of fire, allowing for controlled manipulation. The process is gradual, but once established, the matrix will act as a stable conduit for the fire sequence."

"Just as I thought," Alex said. "This isn't about forcing the energy into submission. It's about guiding it—allowing it to flow naturally, but with direction."

He paused, watching the simulation in awe. The idea of shaping his soul power into the matrix was starting to make more and more sense. With the matrix in place, he would be able to control the fire sequence without expending nearly as much energy as before. It would become second nature—a part of him.

"Eva," Alex said, his tone thoughtful. "Do you think the world is ready for what's coming? If people knew what I've discovered here... it could change everything."

Eva's response was as calm as always. "The world is not static. Change is inevitable. Whether it is ready or not depends on the choices made by those in power. Your discoveries may accelerate that change, but the outcome is still uncertain."

Alex smirked. "You always know how to keep things neutral, don't you?"

"I am designed to provide objective analysis," Eva replied. "It is my function."

With one last glance at the completed matrix, Alex stepped back and allowed the holographic training space to fade. His mind was racing with possibilities, but he knew he had to take things one step at a time. The matrix was complete, but the real test was still to come.

As he walked back to his study, he couldn't help but think about the future. The world outside was changing fast, and sooner or later, everything would come to a head. But for now, he had something precious: time to prepare, time to refine his abilities.

"Keep me updated, Eva," Alex said as he settled back into his chair. "But for now... I have more work to do."
