This wizard only wishes to be a teacher

Chapter 10: Chapter 10 Teaching Tips

"What are you staring at? Is there something on my face? Go wash your face first," Lucien said, looking at Carly who was foolishly frozen in place. His mood had improved significantly from the incident earlier with Nolian's harassment.

"Oh oh oh..." Carly snapped out of it, scrambling to her feet, but with too much force, she knocked over the stool she had been sitting on. She also tripped over the fallen stool, creating a bit of chaos.

"Still a child," Lucien mused, watching Carly frantically picking up her things, sighing inwardly.

At twelve years old, in the world Lucien had come from before crossing over, she would have been a delicate flower. But in this world, she already had to face the harsh realities of being a wizard.

Thinking this, Lucien shook his head slightly, but he hadn't thought about making any changes. All he could do was protect himself and those he needed to protect while preserving his own safety.

After reflecting inwardly for a moment, Lucien quietly opened Carly's character panel and began examining it closely.

Lucien's lips twitched as he looked at the detailed data on Carly's panel, then thought about the sparse description on his own panel. He admitted the lemon was a bit sweet, but his mouth was a bit sour.

This system, it's biased!

Lucien complained inwardly like crazy, but it was of no use.

In the end, Lucien calmed down, and soon, he discovered a line of grey text at the end of the teaching progress section.

[No teaching hints available]

"Teaching hints?" Lucien was taken aback, but as he clicked lightly, soon, an explanation of the teaching hints popped up in a new window.

"So that's it, using Devotion Points to obtain a hint that allows the student to quickly digest and understand current knowledge? Basically, it's using Devotion Points to accelerate the student's learning progress."

Lucien nodded slightly. This was the only function he had discovered so far for spending Devotion Points apart from upgrading the system. Later, when teaching Carly, if necessary, he might try out the actual effect.

"Instructor Lucien," Carly had returned before long, and the lesson continued.

"The meditation method I'm going to discuss with you has some similarities to the previous ones, but also some differences. You need to understand them well," Lucien said, and then he began the instruction of the Greybone Meditation Method·Modified II.

"Instructor... so impressive..." Although Carly had some guesses, she was still slightly overwhelmed when she heard Lucien say it himself, and many thoughts surfaced in her mind.

[Your student Carly is in awe of you, +3 Admiration Points]

Lucien turned away but his mood was somewhat pleased.

The formal teaching began.

Lucien soon felt the "lag" from Carly's side, which was a stark contrast to the smooth teaching progress of the modified Greybone Meditation Method. Carly's progress at this point could only be described as "stumbling."

Furthermore, the content that conflicted with the two previously taught versions of the Meditation Method, influenced by preconceived notions, caused Carly some hiccups in understanding this section of knowledge. She was clearly hindered by the prior knowledge, finding it somewhat challenging and even a bit confusing to comprehend.

Following this teaching pace, it would take Carly at least five or six days to fully master the modified Greybone Meditation Method II.

"Let's take a break for a while. You go over what I've just explained and see if there's anything you don't understand. Ask me about it together later," Lucien said after teaching for more than an hour, pinching his inner self somewhat headache-inducingly, while Carly was holding her little head, already feeling somewhat dizzy.

After gulping down a few mouthfuls of water and taking several deep breaths, Lucien managed to calm the somewhat irritable mood caused by the past hour's teaching.

After hesitating for a moment, Lucien reopened Carly's character panel and looked at the teaching progress bar.

[Teaching Progress]

{Greybone Meditation Method Modified II}: 2.37% (There are two teaching hints available, click to view details)

"So, teaching hints really do appear…" A thought crossed Lucien's mind, and soon, a detailed panel appeared before his eyes.

[Teaching Hint 1]: (Unlock with 1 Admiration Point) There's a high probability that Carly will understand how to construct a spiritual power vortex in her mind sea according to Gills Vortex Modified II…

[Teaching Hint 2]: (Unlock with 2 Admiration Points) There's a high probability that Carly will comprehend the aspects of mental construction involved in the Moss Triangle…

"Unlock," Lucien thought, spending 3 Admiration Points to unlock the teaching hints. After all, he had earned a total of 18 Admiration Points from Carly today, so spending just three was a mere trifle.

"Let's see just how special this premium content really is," Lucien exhaled gently and then looked at the new content that popped up after a brief loading by the system.

[Teaching Hint 1]: Have Carly fetch you a glass of water.

[Teaching Hint 2]: Have Carly analyze the focus of the use of the Moss Triangle in the modified Greybone Meditation Method compared to the current method.

Lucien: "???"

The second teaching hint seemed somewhat legitimate, but what was that first one about?

System, I want a refund!

However, the system did not respond.

Lucien, slightly helpless, closed the system panel and picked up his water glass, intending to drink some water to calm his nerves, but found that after his bouts of vigorous drinking earlier, the glass was already empty.

"Instructor Lucien, let me fetch some water for you," Carly quickly volunteered.

"Sure, thank you," Lucien said with a smile as he handed over the water glass.

"No… it's no trouble at all," Carly blushed slightly, appearing somewhat embarrassed.

[Your student Carly is grateful to you, +1 Admiration Point]

Upon receiving this system message, Lucien was momentarily stunned, even beginning to suspect that this was the system's way of refunding him in Carly's name.
