The Villainous Family Loves Me Too Much!

Chapter 10

At first glance, they seemed to be on good terms, but a strange tension flowed between the two women. Beatrice, after giving the Queen a brief glance, discreetly tucked away a bottle close to her chest and turned her head towards Liam.

“Liam, has the Crown Prince’s investiture date been set?”

“No, in fact, even the Crown Prince’s investiture isn’t yet confirmed. My father thinks I’m not just inferior to Gabriel but also to Rena.”

“You need to hurry up. We might have driven Rena out for now, but… she’ll definitely try to return.”

“Oh, my Beatrice.”

Liam picked a single rose from a vase and offered it to Beatrice.

“Don’t worry too much. Haven’t I planted the most trustworthy person in that place?”

* * *

This can only be a dream. I knew it was a dream, but I couldn’t control myself.

Slap-!

“What are you doing?”

“What are YOU doing?”

The bride in the white dress who slapped me was my best friend from school. She was my BFF, and we cried in each other’s arms when I moved to the US with my aunt’s family after my parents passed away. When I returned to Korea as an adult, we met again and became BFFs as if no time had passed. But that was true only until this moment.

“So, you’re upset because I’m marrying Ji Hyeok? You two were going to break up anyway!”

“Yes, but did you prepare for the wedding with him before breaking up with me? And how could you ask me to prepare the wedding, even deceiving me about the groom’s name?”

“I didn’t make you work for free, I paid you a lot! I hired you because you are the best in this field, and I made sure you wouldn’t encounter the groom!”

“And you call that kindness?”

“You got paid for your job, and I paid you fairly. Isn’t that enough?”

A makeup artist ran up to us and began dabbing foundation onto the bride’s reddened cheek.

With a pained look, the bride said:

“I won’t hold the slap against you, so just leave now.”

With my fist clenched, I glared at the bride.

“No, I won’t go.”

Perhaps it was silly pride, but I couldn’t leave the situation as it was.

“Leave now!”

“Apologize to me.”

Seeing that I wasn’t budging, the bride desperately signaled a wedding hall employee.

“Lady, if you don’t want to get fired, get this crazy woman out, now!”

In the end, I was roughly escorted out by the security guards.

The guests looked at me, still screaming in rage, and tsked.

“That woman is said to be the groom’s longtime stalker. How did she find out and come here? Shouldn’t she be reported to the police?”

“Seriously. Can’t they get a restraining order or something? She looks pretty, but the world is truly scary.”

All the memories of me being the wedding planner behind this wedding and being his former fiancée were erased, and suddenly, I was labeled as a stalker.

“I’m not a stalker! They cheated!”

Among the crowd, I saw Ji Hyeok, the man I once loved. Dressed in a black tuxedo, he looked at me with disdain.

Looking at him, anger surged within me. I felt a rising heat from the pit of my stomach to the tip of my head.

Then, I felt a slight vibration from the ground.

What started as a mild tremor grew stronger, shattering the glass cups.

As the building began to shake violently, the chandelier hanging in the center of the wedding hall crashed down, causing chaos.

“Kyaa!”

Along with the screams of the people, the floor crumbled.

I, too, was being sucked into a dark abyss along with the shattered marble floor.

Is this how I die?

Ah, but this…

In a flash, I was swallowed by the darkness, and my body trembled from the cold I felt.

‘Where… is this?’

Darkness was all around. I couldn’t see anything in front of me.

Yes, this is a dream.

Created from the memories of the day I first came here.

But then…

“So how do you plan to handle this?”

“Should we slice it in two and feed it to the dogs?”

“That’s a bit of a waste, don’t you think? Such a small thing. I feel like I could roast it a bit and eat it.”

I woke from the dream to hear this horrifying conversation.

‘Are they talking about me? Are there cannibals in this world?’

I opened my eyes and looked around. There was a small table in front of the bed I was lying on.

Around that table, three giant figures were standing.

An elderly man with a long white beard and a powerful presence, a middle-aged woman with a sharp look, and a tall young woman who looked a lot like her.

Although they had strikingly beautiful appearances, they exuded a dark aura. Just watching them made me feel uneasy.

“Ah? You’re awake.”

The young woman saw me wake up, approached with a glass. In the cup was an unidentified blue liquid.

“Drink this.”

Her eyes were familiar to me.

Blood-red eyes with silver-grey hair. She looked a lot like the Archduke.

“…Who are you?”

You’re not planning to eat me, are you? I almost inadvertently asked.

“Ah, I forgot. I haven’t properly introduced myself. I’m Sylonne. Sylonne Felosite. The unfortunate Archduke Felosite’s younger sister.”

Sylonne Feosite.

In the original work, she wasn’t elaborated on much being from a villainous family. But she was one of the most outstanding knights on the continent. However, being from the Felosite family, she was restricted from leaving her territory, wasting her talent.

Contrary to her sharp appearance, her gentle manner of speech and describing her brother as unfortunate somehow made her feel familiar.

Hesitantly, I took the glass she handed me.

“What’s in this glass?”

As I eyed the blue liquid suspiciously, Sylonne chuckled. Although she just chuckled lightly, I felt a chill run down my spine.

“It’s ‘Rivetimentor’. A magic defense potion.”

I had never heard of such a medicine before.

Seeing my puzzled face, Sylonne presented a thick book from a leather case and opened it in front of me.

“See here? Ri-ve-ti-men-tor. It’s a medicine that can only be produced in Felosite. It neutralizes the effects of magic.”

Though Sylonne motioned for me to drink quickly, I hesitated.

‘Is it really okay to drink?’

Reading my expression, she kindly explained further.

“While a small amount of magic doesn’t affect abilities, in a place like Felosite Castle, where strong magical barriers exist, the stamina of an ability user depletes rapidly.”

In this world, magic and abilities were similar, yet they stood in contrast to each other. Thus, in places where one was strong, it would affect the other.

‘So that’s why I collapsed.’

Being surrounded by strong magic in all of Felosite…

“Drink this and you’ll feel much better. Forget the banquet for now and rest well.”

Then I remembered the Archduke had ordered Delgado to prepare a banquet.

“Right, the banquet! What happened to it?”

“It’s probably going on right now. Or maybe it’s over by now.”

Sylonne casually remarked, seeming uninterested. She had a similar demeanor to the Archduke in that regard.

“Excuse me?”

“Well, what major issue would arise just because the four of us are absent?”
