Monologue (Fate)
Ah yes, welcome to the show! I’ve been looking forward to seeing you. For a second, I thought you wouldn’t have come to the show. I was sooo worried!
Well, I guess that there was nothing to worry about after all.
Anyways, please make yourself comfortable just before the show starts. And don’t worry, you have the absolute best seat in the house. Your seat is at the very first row after all, there is certainly no better view than the one you’re on.
Oh… The show is about to start! I hope you enjoy it all the way, alright?
…
Do you believe in fate?
I know, a strange question to be asking and I won't be able to know your answer either. Even then, I do hope you would at least listen to me for a second.
What is fate?
It is a concept conjured by humans who couldn't comprehend certain events that happened, yet could not quite chalk it up to simply just coincidence. Of course, it could really have been just mere coincidence, but calling it 'fate' simply had a much more romantic twinge to it, no?
You could say all of this simply is just my own ramblings. In a way, you would be right! What I am saying are simply ramblings and they aren't really worth much in the context of our conversation.
Uh... I meant a monologue. Either way...
You don't have to remember every word I say, it's not so important. Just think of it like me pondering about life and its meaning, like always.
The first story played on this stage would be about a woman, a Goddess to be exact, having to deal with a rather fun case of a man trying to create a God by his own hands. Yes, insane! After all, no sane person would try and create a God out of thin air.
But the world they live in is different, you see. You can’t use your knowledge and logic of your own world to understand how this all works. Ah, but you don’t have to worry too much, it will be explained to you in due time anyways…
Hopefully you will be able to understand it.
So, dear audience, I will ask you the same question I asked you earlier when this show is over.
Do you believe in fate?
