Chapter 9: Chapter 9: Delia Oak and Time Skip of 8 years
"No, there's absolutely nothing wrong with revenge. A man like him deserves to face consequences. My decision is the right one!" Ash's brief hesitation quickly dissipated as memories of the man who had abandoned his mother and him came flooding back.
Shaking his head to banish the doubts that hindered his resolve, Ash walked up behind Delia and gently wrapped his arms around her waist.
"Ash, what's the matter?" Delia asked, surprised by the sudden embrace. Her son's troubled gaze made her pause; she could sense the inner turmoil he was experiencing.
Over the years, Ash had always shown strength and determination. Seeing him in this state was rare and unsettling, but understandable.
After all, he was still just a seven-year-old child. Even though he had memories of a previous life, his current experiences were shaping his personality, blending past wisdom with the innocence of a child.
The soothing lavender-like scent of Delia brought Ash a sense of peace he could only find in her presence.
As he rested his head against her, his cold, determined voice broke the silence.
"Mom, I'll make that man regret the choices he made. You'll always support me, right?"
Delia turned slightly, her voice soft but firm. "Ash, don't be like this. Your father had his reasons, and he knows he was wrong. Didn't he try to make amends and take us back? I was the one who refused."
"No, Mom! No matter what his reasons were, he shouldn't have abandoned us. If he had stayed and stood his ground, even if it meant losing money and power, things would have been different. Instead, he left us to fend for ourselves!"
Ash's voice rose with emotion, cutting Delia off mid-sentence.
"Some mistakes can't be undone. Once a choice is made, there's no turning back. I'll make him see that we're better off without him. I'll become the strongest trainer, with or without him!"
"If Grandpa hadn't found us back then, who knows what would have happened to us? I'll never forget what he did to you, Mom."
Before Ash is born, he was able to sense to a certain extension, the outside world, and knew very well how much his mother had suffered.
A woman with no income, if not for the people from Pallet Town, it's estimated thats his mother coundn't even get money for maternity check, when he left, he left nothin behind! if not for the several neighbors helping her, her liffe definitely it's gonna be even harder.
Delia sighed, her heart aching at Ash's pain.
She placed her hands gently over his. "Alright, son, I'll support you in whatever you choose, as long as it makes you happy."
She knew the scars left by John ran deep in his heart, and understood the anger her son carried.
Ash's past as an orphan in his previous life only heightened his sensitivity to abandonment.
He had experienced discrimination and hardship firsthand, feelings he never wanted to endure again.
He also recalled how, as a young child with 4-5 years, he had faced ridicule from neighboring children. If it weren't for his relationship with Professor Oak, things could have been worse.
That afternoon, Ash headed to the forest behind Pallet Town with Pichu and a small backpack.
The backpack, equipped with advanced space-compression technology, held all the essentials he needed for training.
In this world, such technology was commonplace, with Poké Balls being the pinnacle of its application.
Ash's system had its own spatial storage, but it was limited to in-system items, which couldn't include external objects. He didn't mind, as the technology of this world was already impressive.
His plan was to train in the back mountain for a few years, a decision both Delia and Professor Oak supported because of the forest's proximity to home.
Beyond training, Ash hoped to capture a few Pokémon to strengthen his future team.
"With these techniques, we'll become the strongest trainer and Pokémon!"
Ash declared confidently, holding several books filled with Pokémon-specific strategies he had created, based in the pathway map of chakra in his pokemon, and finally makes a successful version of an ability of the Naruto world.
He looked at Pichu on his shoulder, who responded excitedly.
The books detailed techniques adapted from a deep understanding of Pokémon anatomy.
One of these, a cell activation technique, had already enhanced Pichu's speed to extraordinary levels, filling the little Pokémon with confidence for future training.
Ash understood that Pokémon could evolve independently when their potential reached its peak or when stimulated by specific conditions.
This knowledge drove his training strategies, as he aimed to unlock each Pokémon's full potential before allowing them to evolve.
"I seem to recall a Onix living in these mountains," Ash mused as he set up his tent on rocky ground.
"If I can catch it, it'll become a key member of my Kanto team."
The thought excited him. He remembered from fragmented memories of the anime that the Onix had once drawn the attention of an Elite Four member, proving its incredible potential.
And so, Ash's journey of capturing and training Pokémon began.
Over the next eight years, he grew significantly stronger. Pichu evolved into Pikachu after reaching its full potential, with the help of a Thunder Stone.
Ash's team also expanded to include three high-potential Pokémon:
Onix, captured during his training;
Pidgeotto, encountered in the forest;
and Growlithe, gifted to him by Professor Oak on his birthday.
During these years, Ash's experiences not only strengthened him as a trainer but also added layers to his journey.
When the time came to set out on his adventure, Ash's skills and determination would shine, proving that he was destined for greatness.
