Chapter 62: Chapter 56
"Why don't we eat at this restaurant?" Hound Dog suggested, pointing at a nearby ramen shop.
Akira, wearing a Superman mask, glanced over and sneered. "Ramen? Again? I'm tired of noodles. Let's go for beef." He gestured towards a beef restaurant across the street.
Izuku, trailing behind them, didn't say much. After Akira had arranged for him to fight in the underground matches, he hadn't seen him again. Originally, Izuku had planned to thank Akira properly, but it seemed there wasn't an opportunity yet.
"I'll thank him another day," Izuku muttered, nodding to himself.
Before he could continue his thoughts, Hound Dog turned to him. "See? Even the kid agrees with me. He wants beef."
"What?!" Hound Dog shot an annoyed glance at Izuku. "Do you have any idea how much money you're costing me?"
Izuku blinked, completely confused by the exchange.
Akira smirked. He had intentionally framed the question to make Hound Dog believe Izuku wanted beef. There was no way Akira would settle for ramen after earning 300,000 yen the night before.
After arriving at the beef restaurant, they found an empty table. Akira skimmed through the menu, casually ordering a curry beef rice for Izuku. He turned and said, "As promised, I'm treating you to curry beef. Enjoy."
Izuku blinked in surprise. "Curry beef?" He recalled how Akira had once promised him a meal after the USJ incident. At the time, Izuku had assumed it was just a kind gesture to comfort him. The fact that Akira remembered made him feel unexpectedly touched.
After placing Izuku's order, Akira went all out, selecting seven or eight dishes from the menu, much to Hound Dog's dismay.
"Enough already!" Hound Dog exclaimed. He waved the waiter over, hurriedly closing the menu. "Just bring what's been ordered. And two bottles of sake."
"Understood," the waiter replied, leaving with their order.
Akira leaned back in his seat, unbothered. "Relax, it's not even 25,000 yen. After all, you spent 90,000 on seafood yesterday."
Hound Dog scowled but didn't argue. It wasn't worth it.
When the food arrived, their table was filled with an assortment of dishes. Nearby diners stared in disbelief. How could three people, one of whom was clearly a student, eat so much?
Izuku quietly focused on his curry beef rice, savoring every bite.
"Don't just eat curry rice," Akira said, tossing a piece of beef tendon onto Izuku's plate. "Try this—it's amazing."
Hound Dog, meanwhile, opened the bottles of sake and slid one over to Akira. "This one's yours."
Akira poured himself a drink. "Why not make it interesting? Let's drink it all in one go."
Hound Dog hesitated. "All of it? At once?"
"Yeah, it's more fun that way." Without waiting, Akira downed his cup in one shot, seamlessly using his energy manipulation to counteract the effects of the alcohol.
Not wanting to appear weak in front of Izuku, Hound Dog followed suit. The strong liquor hit him hard, but he gritted his teeth and kept going.
Akira, unfazed, quickly refilled both glasses. "Another round?"
By the third cup, Hound Dog slumped in his seat, barely able to stay upright. Meanwhile, Akira continued eating as if nothing had happened.
Izuku, watching in awe, thought to himself, *The legend of the night truly lives up to his name.*

In the end, Hound Dog insisted on paying the bill despite his earlier protests. A meal totaling 35,000 yen was a small price for the experience, though Akira couldn't help but smirk as he watched the man reluctantly hand over the money.
