Chapter 30: Chapter 29
In the early morning, Akira gathered his energy on the rooftop, as usual. With his current strength, he felt ready to face the Villain Alliance, though he knew he'd need the support of teachers and classmates to stand a real chance. Alone, he was still a bit green.
Now practicing the second level of Qi, Akira's physical abilities had become significantly stronger than the average person. He could now accelerate and leap short distances with ease.
His *Thunder God Technique* had reached Level 3, making it far more precise and powerful than before. If he were to spar with Shoto Todoroki now, he felt confident that Todoroki wouldn't be able to match him. However, Akira was uncertain if Todoroki had improved as well, knowing his presence in this world might have accelerated changes for others too.
His *Air Control* skill was also at Level 3, on par with his *Thunder God Technique.* In critical moments, Akira planned to rely on *Air Control* for a quick, subtle advantage, though combining it with *Thunder God Technique* would surely result in devastating effects.
Before heading out, Akira made a stop at a nearby store, purchasing a Tiga Ultraman mask and tucking it into his bag. He felt this would come in handy for what lay ahead, as today was the day the Villain Alliance would make their first move, unleashing chaos on the world.
In class, as Mr. Aizawa briefed everyone, he said, "Today's rescue training will involve All Might, myself, and another instructor. It will focus on responding to natural disasters, floods, and similar events."
"Rescue…this sounds intense," Kaminari commented with a hint of nervousness.
Akira, sitting near the back, was silent, focusing on mentally preparing himself for the battle he anticipated.
"You idiot! This is what Heroes do!" Kirishima said, his fist clenched in excitement. "I can't wait!"
Aizawa held up a sign that read "RESCUE." "As always, select the appropriate gear, since some outfits may not be suited to rescue scenarios," he added.
As the students gathered to wait for the school bus, Ida Tenya approached Akira, flashing a big, toothy grin. Before Akira could react, Ida leaned in, almost theatrically displaying his bright, white teeth.
"Ida…what's going on?" Akira asked, puzzled.
"I just wanted to say thanks," Ida replied. "The toothbrush you gave me yesterday worked wonders. My teeth are whiter, and I feel more energetic!"
Akira blinked, surprised. "Is it really that effective?" He hadn't realized the significance of his gift, which apparently was more than just a regular toothbrush. However, since Ida had already used it, Akira shrugged off his regret and laughed. "Glad it worked."
Just then, the bus arrived, and Ida, ever the stickler for order, pulled out a whistle and instructed, "Class 1-A, line up in two rows according to your number, please."
Everyone groaned but followed, humorously lamenting his obsession with order.
Once on the bus, Ida looked around, a bit disappointed. "I didn't know the seats would face the windows…"
Akira chuckled and patted Ida's shoulder. "Things don't always go as planned."
In the back, Asui Tsuyu turned to Midoriya and said, "I'm one to say whatever's on my mind, Midoriya-kun."
"What? Tsuyu-chan…?" Midoriya stammered, caught off guard.
"Your quirk is a lot like All Might's," she noted, seemingly curious.
"Ah, y-yes… is that so?" Midoriya replied nervously, clearly unsettled. He glanced away, trying to avoid more questions.
Seeing this, Kirishima stepped in. "Hey, hey, All Might can't be hurt that easily. His strength's pretty unique!"
Relieved, Midoriya flashed Kirishima a grateful smile.
Kirishima went on, "I always think flashy quirks are pretty cool. But Chi Feng, er, Akira here—he's got an awesome quirk too!"
Akira waved a hand humbly. "At the end of the day, everyone's quirk is unique. Strength doesn't lie in appearance; it's about what you make of it."
Ida chimed in, laughing, "Akira is absolutely right. Quite a deep sentiment!"
Not one to miss an opportunity, Aoyama Yuga posed dramatically. "My belly button laser also has quite the effect. It's both dazzling and powerful!"
"But not so good for your stomach, right?" Ashido Mina teased, placing a hand on Aoyama's shoulder.
Aoyama sighed wistfully, "Yes, such is the burden of being fabulous."
The group burst out laughing, filling the bus with lighthearted energy. Despite the danger ahead, their spirits were high as they neared their destination.
