The Strongest Eriri in History

Chapter 25: Aoi Kujo's Doubt

"Beep beep beep beep beep…"

With the sound of the alarm clock, a new day began. Eriri skillfully reached out to turn off the alarm clock on the bedside table and snuggled her head into Sayuri's chest, enjoying a comfortable sleep until dawn in her mother's embrace.

"Mom, time to get up." Raising her head, Eriri gently shook Sayuri.

"Mmm… Is it morning already?" Sayuri murmured groggily, rubbing her eyes before releasing Eriri and sitting up in bed.

After freshening up, the two headed downstairs, where a young foreign man with blond hair and blue eyes, looking to be in his early twenties, sat on the sofa reading the morning paper.

"Good morning, Dad. Aren't you going to the consulate today?" Eriri asked, curious.

"Hmm, nothing urgent today. I can go later," Mr. Spencer replied, putting down the newspaper and looking at Eriri and Sayuri. "Did you two sleep well last night?"

"Ah, hugging Eriri while sleeping is very comfortable," Sayuri replied smugly to her husband.

Since Eriri had never been physically affectionate with her father since she was little, Sayuri often boasted about this in front of Mr. Spencer, making him both envious and helpless.

"Go ahead and have breakfast in the dining room. The servants have prepared it already. I've already eaten," Mr. Spencer said, shaking his head with a wry smile as he picked up his newspaper again.

...

Outside the Sawamura residence, Aoi Kujo was already waiting early in the morning, just as she had the day before.

Thinking about meeting the beloved Eriri again soon filled her with excitement, though she was currently puzzled by a significant mystery.

After watching Eriri enter the academy yesterday, Aoi didn't leave the school premises. Even after receiving a text from Eriri telling her she didn't need a ride home, she remained nearby.

In her mind, a qualified attendant should always keep her focus on her master to ensure their safety.

Therefore, Aoi had witnessed the interactions between Eriri, Megumi Kato, and Kiyo Ishimaki, including the intimate moments between Eriri and Megumi, which filled her with envy.

However, after Eriri and Megumi parted ways with Kiyo Ishimaki, they somehow vanished from Aoi's sight without her noticing. Despite searching the area thoroughly, she never found them again, which is what puzzled her greatly.

...

Eriri quickly finished her breakfast and said goodbye to the Sawamura couple before heading to school.

"Good morning, Aoi," Eriri greeted Kujo as she approached her.

"Good morning, Miss," Aoi replied, bowing slightly before immediately turning to open the car door for Eriri.

Eriri tossed her school bag onto the seat and asked with concern, "When did you get here, Aoi? Why don't you wait inside? It's still quite chilly in the mornings of April."

"No worries, I just arrived," Aoi replied casually, and once Eriri was seated inside, she promptly got into the driver's seat and started the car.

The Sawamura house was about four kilometers from Yumenosaki Academy, a drive that took less than ten minutes.

As Aoi drove smoothly towards Yumenosaki Academy, Eriri's consciousness received a notification from the chat group, prompting her to open the chat interface without hesitation.

"Arifureta (Group Leader): @Kashiwagi Eri"

"Arifureta (Group Leader): @Everyone, Eriri, can you guys check in now? Mine still shows that I've already checked in."

"Iron-Blooded Hot-Blooded Cold-Blooded Vampire: Same here."

"Ashen Witch: Mine also shows already checked in. Group leader, are you sure you don't need to borrow my points? We can negotiate how much to pay back later."

"Archangel Gabriel: Same, darn it… Can't top up anymore. Does anyone have anything valuable like gold or jewelry? I can trade my points for it."

"Ashen Witch: Gold and jewelry, huh… I'd love some of that if anyone wants to gift me."

"Arifureta (Group Leader): …"

"Arifureta (Group Leader): I don't have anything on me."

From Arifureta and the others' conversation, Eriri gathered what the issue was. She opened the check-in page and, as expected, it also showed already checked in. She asked the chat group for clarification.

"Kashiwagi Eri: Mine also says already checked in. I asked the chat group, and it said that the check-in resets based on the last update completion time. Didn't you ask the group?"

"Arifureta (Group Leader): Ah… I was too anxious and forgot to ask… Embarrassed.jpg"

"Eri Kashiwagi: Alright then…"

"Eri Kashiwagi: I'm about to start class. Gotta go for now."

With that, Eriri closed the chat interface and looked out the car window at the passing street scenes.

Two kilometers from the academy, Aoi stopped the car at a red light at an intersection.

"By the way, Aoi, can you cook?" Eriri asked during the brief pause.

"Yes, I can. Why do you ask, Miss?"

"And how's your cooking?" Eriri continued, ignoring Aoi's question.

"If I were to rate it myself, I'd say it's delicious. I obtained a special first-class chef's certificate a few years ago." Though unsure of Eriri's intent, Aoi answered earnestly.

"In that case… Would you like to move into my house and cook for me? It would also make it easier to drive me to and from school each day." Eriri nodded thoughtfully and suggested.

A special first-class chef is quite accomplished, just below a master chef. Aoi had reached this level a few years ago, so it's likely her skills are now on par with a master chef.

"Sure," Aoi agreed without hesitation after a brief contemplation.

Moving into the Sawamura residence would allow Aoi to better protect Eriri and increase the time they spent together, so she saw no reason to refuse.
