The Strongest Eriri in History

Chapter 21: The Power Of The Wind

"What exactly is the ranking system for this Second Level, Third or Fourth Stage?" Megumi Kato asked curiously.

Nodding, Eriri organized her thoughts: "Since you've stepped into the realm of transcendents, you need to abandon your previous understanding. In addition to our universe, there are countless other universes and dimensions, collectively known as the myriad worlds."

Eriri paused before continuing: "The power levels across the myriad worlds are divided into nine grades..."

Over the next period, Eriri explained to Megumi the power hierarchy of the myriad worlds as defined by the chat group, although she did not mention the existence of the chat group. She planned to reveal it when she took Megumi on an interdimensional journey.

After listening intently, Megumi tilted her head and asked with curiosity, "What level are you, Eriri?"

"As for me, I'm currently at level eight, stage four. Maybe in a few years, I'll reach level nine," Eriri stated, without any intention of hiding her strength, and straightforwardly revealed her specific power level.

With Eriri's explanation, Megumi was no longer a complete novice and understood what level eight represented. To be honest, she was astonished by Eriri's strength.

"No wonder you said no one in this universe could hurt you. I guess there aren't many stronger than you even across the myriad worlds..." Megumi remarked in amazement.

"Alright, alright, let's start the next phase of testing," Eriri said, patting Megumi's backside with her hand. "Try using any special abilities you might have."

With that, she moved a few meters behind Megumi, hovering in the air, clapping her hands to signal Megumi to begin.

Megumi glanced up at Eriri. With encouragement from Eriri's gaze, she slapped her cheeks to cheer herself on.

Once she adjusted her mindset, Megumi began skillfully manipulating the energy within her, allowing it to flow according to her will outside her body.

At that moment, a violent cyan wind suddenly appeared around Megumi, the swirling gales spreading out like sharp blades, slicing the ground within tens of meters of her into pieces, creating a large circular pit, with only the spot where she stood remaining intact.

"Oh? Is it wind power? Pretty strong, but not well-controlled," Eriri mused to herself, calmly standing in mid-air. The violent winds Megumi generated had no effect on her, feeling only like a gentle breeze.

In the universe, elemental powers are broadly divided into nine attributes: metal, wood, water, fire, earth, wind, thunder, light, and darkness. In addition, there are some special attributes, such as space and time. The powers of all strong beings across the myriad worlds originate from these, and wind, as one of the nine major attributes, can be extremely powerful when used properly.

Manipulating wind can create highly destructive wind blades for attacks, form wind barriers for defense, and even assist others. It is a highly versatile power.

Eriri moved beside Megumi and softly said, "Alright, Megumi, you can stop now."

"Whew... it's so hard to control," Megumi exhaled as she gradually retracted the energy into her body. "Why was it so easy to control the energy when flying earlier?"

"Of course," Eriri nodded, patiently explaining, "It's a simple concept. Once you completely master this energy, flying becomes as instinctive as walking. But when it comes to ranged attacks, it's like using special techniques that require practice."

"I see," Megumi said, enlightened by Eriri's explanation.

"When you released energy outside your body earlier, you didn't focus it but let it scatter everywhere, which resulted in the weakest power," Eriri said, crossing her arms, rhythmically tapping her left arm with her right hand. "Now, try concentrating the energy in your right palm, and release it outside to form an energy ball."

Hearing Eriri's suggestion, Megumi nodded thoughtfully and began her second attempt after a moment of reflection.

Megumi adeptly began channeling the energy within her. With the experience of her previous failure, she carefully guided the energy to converge in her right hand without letting it escape haphazardly from her body.

She straightened her right arm, palm facing up, slowly releasing the concentrated energy. A cyan sphere of light, surrounded by tiny wind blades, appeared above her hand and gradually expanded as more energy poured into it.

As she continued to release energy, fine sweat appeared on Megumi's forehead, and the pressure increased.

As Megumi's hand trembled slightly, the cyan energy ball, now nearly two meters in diameter, suddenly lost control and exploded outward.

The explosion's power was about a hundred times stronger than her first attempt, creating a several-kilometer-wide crater on the island.

"Failed again..." Megumi murmured, hovering above the crater, her head hanging in disappointment.

"It's okay. Achieving this level on your first try is quite impressive. I wasn't much better when I started," Eriri said, flying in front of Megumi, cupping her smooth, white cheeks in her hands in comfort.

"With this attempt, a few more practices should do the trick," Eriri said, rubbing Megumi's cheeks, leaning in to touch her nose with hers, smiling softly. "You should also try to compress the energy as much as possible; bigger isn't always better. Concentration is key. When you compress all the energy in your body to its limit, the resulting explosion will surprise you."

Megumi had no intention of breaking away from Eriri's hold, listening quietly to her gentle words and savoring their close interaction.

"I'll do my best!" Megumi said, her eyes filled with determination, staring into Eriri's blue eyes.
