The pet master

Chapter 11 simulation.

Author notes: Hello everyone! I have received a lot of feedback about my poor grammar, so today I made a conscious effort to improve. I hope you can read this chapter and give me your feedback on whether it's better, or if I should continue to make improvements. .....

As Max reached the police station, he approached the receptionist officer and said, "Hello, I was called in for testimony about the bank robbery."

Lucy, on his head, seem to want to introduce herself, but the officer didn't pay her any attention

And asked, "What's your name, sir?"

Despite Max being both young and malnourished, people found it hard to treat him as a kid, perhaps because of the simulators' doing, or maybe because of his reincarnation. He already looked like he was in his late 20s.

"Ma..! It's John," Max replied, realizing he had forgotten to change his name yet again.

The receptionist nodded and directed him to office 5.

Max nodded and walked towards the office.

Inside, Max found himself sitting in front of a black-haired policewoman.

"What's your name?" asked the policewoman coldly, not bothering to give Max a good look.

"John," replied Max, puzzled at her attitude.

"I won't play games with you; I already know you are an accomplice. Just confess."

Max appeared annoyed. "Ma'am, what do you mean? Please don't joke around. I have nothing to do with those criminals. Moreover, this is a testimony, not an interrogation."

"Trust me, for a scum like you, who abuse their powers to harm others, I will make you wish for death; you better confess obediently; your sentence might be lighter than."

Max just looked at her, unimpressed. "mam, please respect yourself; I just happened to be there at the wrong time; based on your thought process, doesn't that make everyone there at that time an accomplice?"

Suddenly the policewoman smiled at Max. Standing up, she walked to the door and closed it, keeping the key in her pocket.

Max didn't speak and watched calmly; he didn't believe this crazy woman dared to do something to him; moreover, although he was currently weak. A random non-super policewoman isn't qualified to deal with him.

While holding Max by the collar, she asked, "Then will you explain why you are the only person who wasn't robbed by those criminals?".

Slapping her hand away angrily, Max retorted: "Then do you want me to get robbed, and you stupid thing, can't you use that thing called a brain to think? If I was an accomplice, then would they attract attention to me? Where were you when they distributed brains?"

The policewoman looked livid; although Max made sense, she didn't believe him; she believed more in her judgment.

"come here; you will confess one way or another. "

As she spoke, she aimed a punch at Max's face.

That's it, Max snapped.

Catching her extended arm, Max pulled her to him and kicked her in the stomach.

Suppressing the pain, she grabbed his shoulder and attempted to flip him over, using her right leg.

Max just grabbed her face and slammed her back head into the wall.

Bamm.

Lucy, waking up from her shock, flew up and grabbed the woman's hair. She pulled hard while giggling happily, joining in the fun.

The fight continues. Max always dodges while only hitting in certain spots, the ones that aren't noticeable on a first glance, avoiding the face and such.

Soon, other policemen noticed the commotion; breaking the door open, they rushed in, parting the two of them.

Max didn't resist.

There are cameras inside the office, and she made the first move. So he didn't worry much about the consequences, but if he resisted, he might be in trouble.

Max currently felt helpless, although he hadn't done anything wrong yet, but for some reason, he got dragged into this nonsense. It's all because of this foolish woman.

Max had a flat look on his face as he listened to all the surrounding nonsense. Thankfully, a new policeman entered the scene. This one had a different uniform than the usual blue one; this one was black and white, the uniform of the superhuman police force.

The newcomer looked at his sister, who was responsible for the current scene as a policewoman, with a hopeless expression on his face. Despite not knowing the entire story, he didn't blame Max because he knew his sister. She was arrogant, conceited, and had a bad temper. She hadn't always been like this. Her personality changed for the worse over time because she didn't have any talent for the professions on Star continent.

"Sigh. Vivian, who let you record his testimony? Last I remember, I left this job for Jake."

"Brother, I got some new information from my friend. This guy should be the accomplice of those criminals."

"Sigh, do you know who this guy is?"

Before his sister could argue more, he continued to speak, "He is just a student and an S-rank talent holder. If he stood in a crowd and asked for money, do you believe he wouldn't be able to carry the money he receives? So, you tell me, why would someone like him rob a bank?, why would he ruin his bright future for some petty cash? "

Vivian fell silent for a moment. "This... But Zhin the criminal didn't even rob this guy," she said.

"I know," Zhin replied coldly. "But so what? It's probably just those guys trying to confuse us."

After receiving news about Max's shady situation with the criminal from her friend who was accidentally on the scene, she didn't even read Max's information. Instead, she immediately asked to be the one to receive Max's testimony, wanting to claim the achievement for herself.

Ignoring his sister, zhin walked to max smiling.

"Little brother, I'm sorry for my sister's actions. I hope you can let bygones be bygones," .

Max didn't want Zhin, this superhuman, to think he held grudges, even though he was vengeful. Max pretended to be annoyed, using his acting skills. "Yeah, whatever, can I go now?" he said, showing his dissatisfaction but not hostility. He knew that showing he was okay with the situation might make Zhin wary. Who knows what would this guy do to protect his sister?

Zhin nodded and said, "Of course, you can go, but please take this as an apology," while handing a card to Max.

Max took the card, showing a hint of surprise. It was a charging card with one million credits in it. "Can I really have it?" asked Max hesitantly.

"Please do, my little friend,".

Max expressed the right amount of happiness as he smiled. "Then, thank you very much. Do you still need my testimony, by the way?"

Zhin smiled and replied, "There's no need for that; we will take care of it on our side." The reason Zhin had called Max over wasn't for testimony, but his true intentions were to build good relations with this rising talent. Who knew his sister would ruin everything?.

Thankfully, the situation isn't that bad, and Max seems to be a reasonable person.

"I will take my leave then," Max said as he left. He glanced at Vivian with some curiosity, showing no hostility whatsoever.

Throughout the conversation between her brother and Max, Vivian realized her mistakes and her brother's intentions. However, she didn't come forward to apologize because of her pride.

Anyway, why should she apologize to that guy Max who beat her up? She put all the blame on Max, forgetting that it was she who started being physical.

.....

Max had already forgotten about the crazy policewoman when he returned to the hotel.

"Lucy, let's play that game again," said Max.

Lucy was more excited about the fight with the policewoman than fighting with the pigeon and was ready to do it again at any time, thinking that this game is to go beat up the policewoman again. She nodded happily.

Max, not aware of Lucy's thoughts, was also excited about the simulation and put Lucy in front of him.

simulation started.

[ding,] as the simulators started, Lucy lost focus.

[In the first year, you found yourself in an unfamiliar land. Holy moly, you got isekaied, just like the people in the shining box. Excitedly, you flew around happily. Then, with unwavering determination, you made a vow to become the strongest, break the void, and return to your pet master.]

Looking at this scene, Max literally jumped out of happiness. "It worked, it freaking worked! The Minister of Education should give his job to me. They should give me a Nobel Prize for this achievement."

Suppressing his joy, Max continued to watch the simulation.

[in the 2nd year, Thankfully, you got isekaied next to a mountain; flying up the mountain, you plan to never leave until you are the strongest; using your innate ability, you merged with the mountain, this time faster due to your innate ability being fully activated. ]

[In the 15th year, you have already taken complete control of the mountain, and you feel you are getting stronger as the mountain grows..

[in the 29th year, you realize your progress is slow, so instead of actively trying to get stronger, you decide to let it happen passively, while you spend your time watching the scenery].

[in the 33rd year, you notice a group of people walking past you; this is the first time you see humans in this world. Feeling curious, you keep watching them, and to your surprise, the old man leading the group seems to notice your beeping, he starts shouting something you don't understand. After some time, they seem to give up on looking for you and leave.]

[in the 48th year, you kept remembering those people from years ago; you felt weird energy around them, the same one you feel in the surroundings, although compared to the clear and dense one around those weird individuals, it exists in a thin, scattered state around the surroundings].

[in the 68th year, you felt you understood something, closing your eyes. The same weird energy in the surroundings started to converge on the mountain; surprisingly, this made the mountain grow faster. You did this, and it made you happy].

[in the 86th year, humans started appearing one after another, cutting trees, building huts.

you didn't like where this is going].

[in the 89th, a small city is already placed next to you; this makes you lose focus, and your progress becomes slower; on the other side, you enjoy watching the humans, so you are no longer bored.]

[in the 140th year, the human city is already much bigger; they also cut a lot of your trees from time to time, which made you angry].

[in the 195th year, the humans started digging your land looking for minerals; in anger, you used your Innate ability, causing a huge Avalanche that destroyed half of the city; you were stunned. Without your knowledge, you became this powerful. Breaking the void is one step closer ].

[in the 210th year, the humans have already recovered and rebuilt the city, although this time a little further away from you, this made you happy; puny humans shall know their place].

'Good guy, already getting arrogant.'

[In the 266th year, because of the continuous rain a huge flood hit the area, and the human city almost got destroyed, although you were mostly unaffected, you took the opportunity to try to control the surrounding water, and to your surprise you succeeded.

you kept making waves around you, even hitting the city from time to time adding to their trouble.].

[In the 311th year, the City next to you was rebuilt successfully, you no longer cared much about humans these guys were like cockroaches, instead you put your focus on training your skill, there is no water around at this point so you switch to the wind, but weirdly enough controlling wind is harder than handling water, you didn't know why but you kept trying].

[In the 378th year, you feel you're much stronger, but you aren't sure why].

[in the 381st year, the humans seem to have discovered something in your surroundings, they crazily rushed to the mountain digging everywhere, angry you started killing them, Earth collapses, small avalanches, tree falls, but those humans were like sharks that smell blood, no matter how many you kill they send more ].

[in the 379th year, you have already run out of resources to damage the humans; you watch helplessly as they start digging weird-looking tunnels inside your body; you try your best, collapsing the tunnels they built on them, killing countless in the process].

[in the 380th year, you kept fighting the humans, but you were losing, however, you refused to leave the mountain].

[on the 398th year, the mountain was beyond repair. The Earth's veins completely collapsed, and you died with the mountain.

[ding, simulation ended.].

Max was unsure how to feel about the ending. Technically, it was completely his mistake. In all the works he showed Lucy, the one similarity was that the main character never left the mountain.

As for the Nobel Prize in education, let's forget about it for now. For the time being, Lucy's educational materials must be modified again.

As Max threw that idea to the back of his mind, as he excitedly started checking the rewards.
