Introductions, part two (3)
…
Aeskell was walking down a pathway of the tomb with Momonga beside her. It was strange to simply talk to people in this voice that hadn’t been hers until recently. She had been using an inbuilt voice changer in the game to build up the character of Aeskell. Until recently, that’s all she had been. All she was in her own mind was that of a character, an avatar.
They were walking down what could be considered to be the greatest thing that had been made in Yggdrasil. The sixth floor of the great underground tomb of Nazarick.
As the two of them walked out of the path and the colosseum sky was in full view, Aeskell could not help but gawk at the beauty. The night sky was so detailed that it might as well be real. She had seen it once when she fell for a teleport trap on the second floor while trying to solo raid the base.
That failed spectacularly, but she did learn a lot about the skills and fighting styles of the duo floor guardians. What really confused her was the fact that the boy was dressed up as a girl, and the girl was dressed as a boy. Then again, some people really like traps.
Probably enough to make some trap NPCs. Although, she could simply ask Momonga about it later. Right now, she was going to watch him experiment with his magic. The two of them had agreed that she would leave soon, but she wanted to see his magic skills.
She would be going and exploring the new world they found themselves in. if she found anything long the way, then she would tell Momonga. But if she didn’t, she would simply not say anything. It had quickly become clear to Momonga that the NPCs he and his friends made together were not the friendliest to outsiders.
He did not know the extent of their loyalty yet, so if he told them that Aeskell would be a guest and to treat her well, they might not obey. So, she had said she would leave and if she found anything important to how this whole situation happened, then she would tell him. They had also come to the agreement that they would stay in touch with each other.
As the two of them walked to the center of the grand colosseum, Aeskell and Momonga spotted the small dark elf, Aura. She stood in the stands and made a show of spotting the two. When she saw Momonga, she smiled. But then she saw Aeskell and frowned. She decided to jump down and welcome him to the floor so as to best honor him and his greatness.
When she landed, she made a pair of Vs with her hands and ran over to where the two adults were standing. She stopped right in front of Momonga and then smiled and bowed her head deep.
“Good evening, Aura it is good to see you. I believe you haven’t met Aeskell yet, she is here to watch my magic demonstration. Where is your brother by the way? I don’t see him,” Momonga asked.
The question was rather curt in Aeskell’s eyes. But who was she to judge how he spoke to his kids? That was a thought that had crept into her mind as of late. These people weren’t NPCs anymore, they seemed to be able to think and feel. At least that was true form what she had seen.
Aeskell then looked at the small boy that was standing shyly on the platform in the stands. He was staring intently at her. It was as if he was trying to bore a hole into her head. She remembered that last time she had been on this floor, while she was trying and failing to solo raid it, he had been the one to kill her with an insanely well-placed spell.
But before she could say anything, Aura turned around. She made a show again of taking a deep breath and yelled out. It was rather loud, and kind of surprising for such a small girl to make such a loud noise.
“Mare! Stop being so nervous and come down here! You’re embarrassing us in front of Lord Momonga!”
The other dark elf looked back at his sister and then at Momonga. Then he looked to Aeskell and frowned. It looked like he was deliberating on what he should do next. On the one hand, he hated the fact that there was an outsider. On the other hand, he wanted to ask lord Momonga what was going on.
And the woman that was standing next to lord Momonga was the lady he had killed. She had dropped a managun if he wasn’t mistaken. She had been very tanky. Maybe too tanky, she most likely had high regen abilities. And from the color of her eye, he could tell she was a automata. But what type, he was unsure.
Finally, the boy jumped down. he had a rather determined look on his face. Or, as determined as a young trap could look. He was cuter than anything. It was as if the young boy was more girly than half the women that Aeskell had even met.
He ran forward. But he soon remembered that he was wearing a skirt and he pulled it down to make sure it did not flip up. That would be even more embarrassing than anything else. Imagine if you were running to meet your lord, then your skirt flipped up for everyone to see.
He stopped to make sure that he looked like he hadn’t just forgotten that he was wearing a skirt and looked to his lord and the mystery woman. He began to run forward once more.
When he got to where lord Momonga and his sister were standing, he first bowed his head to him. Then he was ordered to raise his head and he did so, after which he looked to Aeskell with a rather incredulous face.
Aeskell looked at the boy with a bit of intrigue. She had not seen him this close before. It was rather strange for the boy not be shooting plants and rocks and other such things and her.
“Mare, this is Miss Aeskell. You should know her as the lady had tried and failed to raid the tomb. Some unforeseen things have happened and now she is our guest,” Momonga explained.
Mare then bowed once more to Momonga.
“Mare, raise your head. Now, would you two like to see me practice some magic!” he said, as if to try and pull away their strange and oddly satisfied grins.
It was as if the twins had been worried at some point about Aeskell but were now no longer worried. Simply because their lord and master had said that she was a guest. That was an oddly fanatic way of looking at it. but it at least seemed to be the truth.
She could tell by the movements of the two twins that they were a lot more at ease now. It was rather strange, being able to tell how someone felt just by the micromovements of their body.
She herself no doubt would be as easy to read if she were to come across someone like herself. Maybe she should stay here so as to better shield herself? No, that would be foolish, she feels like she can trust Momonga, but she doesn't trust his kids.
Though, these kids are adorable in all honesty. They are simply so cute, and she wants to pull their cheeks as if they were squirrels. If she stayed alone then she would be able to better think about herself and her current gender situation. After all, she had a rack now, and no longer had a phallus. That in and of itself was rather sad to say the least. She had never had the chance to use it before.
But she had to bring herself back to the present. She had been asked a question and she had been spacing out. That wasn’t good. That was rather rude all things considered. She shook her head as to show them that she had her mind somewhere else and looked to Momonga.
“Yes, what did you say? I’m sorry my mind was somewhere else,” she told him.
“Oh, that is quite alright. I was simply asking if you would be okay as to summon an angel or too for some of these experiments I want to run?” he asked.
She nodded her head to signal she was fine with that and then prepared to summon some low-level angels as indicated. Today was going to get a bit more under control and a little less chaotic. At least, from what she felt.
