Chapter 33: Trip To The Demon World! (Part 2)
KRAKOOOOM!
The large double doors exploded into bits and pieces as Leilani kicked the damn thing down, virtually annihilating the things and turning them into things that ceased to exist. She waltzed into the room and saw two groups of people who were now looking at her as it looks as if she had interrupted them before they were about to fight. On one side, there were 5 Demon Lords with a pair of subordinates that stood behind them, these Demon Lords in order were, Kalka of Udem, Mistaline of Harrin, Lizguarda of Bashatall, Anep of Dakar and Trinius of Oranatia, all of whom were traditional Demonkin with uniquely colored skin with large black horns atop their heads. Meanwhile, on the other side, there was only one Demon Lord by the name of Viktorus but he was backed up by several humans and one angel, an angel that Leilani had never seen before as she personally knew each angel of each of the Gods, but the one before her was different. She knew personally that Ragneus' angels all had red wings and wore lab coats, Dashran's angels were all elementals, Armenakis' angels were like Theodorus, with black wings with red horns and dressed in white robes, and Santomin's angels were ones that had a pure look to them with pure white wings and robes, but the angel she was looking at had gold-colored wings and a golden robe.
"Who dares forestall the judgment of the Gods!" The angel stated as he looked over at her
"Hmm? Oh, that would be me" Leilani casually replied as she looked at him before casting her glance at the rest of the room, much to his surprise and even his shock
"How dare you not bow in my presence! You dare not revere a servant of the Gods!?" The angel shouted as he let loose a thunderous sound that echoed around the chamber
"Hmm? Oh, were you still talking to me?" Leilani asked as she glanced at him before taking a step into the room, completely unphased and slightly annoyed by all the noise coming from the angel
"You impudent mortal KNEEEL!" The angel levitated and shouted as he pointed at her
Leilani turned her gaze to the angel and she looked him up and down before raising her eyebrow in confusion, with the same confused expressions also appearing on the face of everyone else in the room
"Was that supposed to do something?" The Old Scholar asked as she looked down at a piece of the broken table she then saw wrecked on the side
"Impossible! No mortal can resist the power bestowed upon me by the Gods!" The angel remarked in shock as he looked at Leilani who wasn't even paying attention to him anymore
"Hmm? Oh, the reason for that is simple. You are not an angel" She stated as she glanced at him before looking back at the broken table
"What?!" The angel roared in anger as he looked at her
"Did you not hear me the first time? Fucking hell, look, read my lips. You. Are. Not. An. Angel" She repeated with an annoyed tone as she pointed at her lips, much to the increasing anger of the angel
"You impudent mortal! How dare you speak of lies! I shall strike you down in the names of the Gods!" The angel said as he summoned forth a golden trident
"Uhuh, tell me then, which of the Gods do you serve?" She asked as she looked up at him
"Uhh...I serve all the Gods" The angel replied as he tried to keep a steady gaze upon the mortal before him
"Mhmm, and what is your job exactly and who created you?" Leilani followed up
"Uhhh...I was created by all of the Gods and I am Kronus the Almighty" Kronus answered as he pointed his trident at her
"Uhuh. So, that's all a lie" The Old Scholar blatantly stated as she rolled her eyes
"What?!" Kronus shouted, with Viktorus and his party, particularly the humans, sweating bullets as they glanced at one another
"Yup, all a lie. If you were created by the Gods as you claim to be, they would have told me" Leilani stated as she leaned on the wall next to the door, crossing her arms and keeping her eyes locked with Kronus
"What? You lie!" Kronus shouted
"Oh brother, if you can't even prove you were created by the Gods, how are you even going to convince people with that lie" Leilani said as she rolled her eyes
"Here, an easy question. Can you tell me what the angels of each of the Gods look like?"
"What?"
"You heard me, what do the angels of each of the Gods look like, if you were created by them, you would definitely know right?" The Old Scholar reiterated
Kronus gulped as he looked behind at the humans and Viktorus, with the humans shaking their heads as neither of them did know what the fuck each of the angels looked like, with all of them now sweating like crazy as their bluff was practically exposed, even Demon Lord Viktorus was scared by how easily their facade was destroyed, by a mere mortal no less.
"Looking at your friends won't get you the answer you fucking idiot, you and them don't even know what they look like" She interrupted them as she moved from leaning on the wall
"Well, if you know what they look like, then why don't you describe them?" Kronus spat back as he pointed his trident at her
"Pfft! HAHAHAHAHA! You really think I would fall for that trick?! Gods you lot are so stupid" Leilani chuckled as she couldn't contain her laughter anymore
"WHat?!"
"Haaa...we have fun here, anyway. If you were really sent by the Gods to bring peace and justice to the Demon World then there is a slight problem with that" Leilani said as a cruel smile formed at the edge of her lips
"Oh yeah? And what's that?" Kronus asked as his eyes narrowed
"Well, if the Gods wanted you to succeed, they wouldn't have sent me"
{!}
Suddenly, Leilani snapped her fingers and Kronus began to spasm in place as he could feel a force tearing his insides apart, forcing him to scream as he dropped from levitating and fell to the floor, coughing and wheezing as he had a seizure on the ground. Another snap from Leilani caused him to stand still and there was a sickening crunch as his chest exploded outward and revealed a barbed vine that began slithering out of the angel's chest and then wrapped around his neck before it turned him and itself into dust that fluttered away, much to the horror of everyone in the room.
"What the..." Demon Lord Viktorus remarked as he saw the angel die so easily, he turned up to face Leilani and he could feel an intense bloodlust that caused him to try and make a break for the door behind him but suddenly found himself unable to move as his legs refused to move
"Die you heretic! You killed our angel!" One of the humans shouted as he rushed Leilani with his sword held high, with the rest of the humans following his lead
Leilani let out a sigh as she dodged the initial downward swing from the soldier, replying with a gut punch that killed him on the spot and sent him flying into the nearby wall. She blocked the second human's thrust attempt by catching the blade in her hand before shattering it in an instant and then landing a powerful roundhouse kick that broke his neck and sent him flying to the other side of the room. The third human was also killed with a single backhanded fist as Leilani allowed his slash to land, with the sword breaking upon her clothes, causing her to smirk as she backhanded the woman into a wall, killing her instantly. The fourth and fifth human were given the same treatment of death as they attacked her together, their axe and sword breaking upon her body before she replied with a roundhouse kick to one and then a turning sidekick to another. With the humans dead, she turned her attention to Viktorus who was now panicking. She undid the spell that she had secretly cast earlier and saw him immediately make a break for the side door behind him and tried and tried to get it open but it wouldn't, she held up her hand to tell the Demon Lords behind her to leave this to her and she approached him.
Leilani's expression was unmoving and unreadable as she approached him, she flashed a small angry scowl before letting out a sigh. Viktorus could swear to himself that at that moment, a black figment or spirit appeared behind the human woman before him, its eyes were green and its form looked to be of a muscular human drenched in darkness that covered his true identity.
"Atomic Zeus. Machine Gun Blows" Leilani said as she struck a pose with her left hand on her hip and her right arm semi-stretched outward and her right pointer finger pointing directly at him.
"Wha-" Was the only thing Viktorus got out before he suddenly felt a punch rock his face and embed him into the door
He then felt numerous punches land in succession with one another as he struggled to even move, his body aching all over as he could feel his bones and muscles which were supposedly at their strongest given that he was a Demon Lord, give way to the power of whatever was beating the crap out of him. He choked on his own blood as his face and throat were smashed to bits and once the initial wave was finished, he crumpled to the ground in a heap. With a broken body that his regeneration wasn't even healing anymore, his bones, muscles, and everything in between shattered beyond repair, but what was worse of all for him, he was somehow still alive.
"Right, with that settled" Leilani said as she turned her gaze back to the other 5 Demon Lords
"Hey there kids!" She greeted them with a smile and a wave
"Thank you once again for saving our lives Ma'am" Demon Lord Trinius stated as he stepped forward and bowed his head
"He's right, you have once again saved our lives. We are forever in your debt oh Great Scholar" Demon Lord Kalka added as she stepped forward and bowed her head as well
"Ay, shush now. You lot have done well so far in guarding the world and you have performed your duties admirably. Now, I came here as a request from the Gods as they are busy dealing with something. So, can you please enlighten me as to what was happening here before I arrived?" Leilani asked as she snapped her fingers and brought the room back to its pristine condition, with all of them sitting by a large round table, with Viktorus tied and immobilized via chains on the nearby wall
"It was Viktorus' fault Ma'am" Demon Lord Mistaline, the oldest of the bunch began
"He said that the angel from earlier was a servant of the Gods and that it was their will that he be the supreme ruler of the Demon World" She added with a disgusted tone as she glanced at the restrained Demon Lord
"Uhuh...I take it these humans were part of the Order of Sigismund? who had convinced Viktorus?" Leilani asked as she leaned into her chair
"Yes, yes they were Great Scholar. Do you know of them?" Lizguarda, the youngest of the Demon Lords asked as he leaned forward
"I do, and from what I am gathering so far, they have plans to take over the world and establish their primacy, even if it means faking angels and other beings of the Divine, which is a crime in its own right" The Old Scholar stated as she looked at where Kronus' body lay before turning into ash
"So what will you do now Great Scholar?" Demon Lord Anep asked her as he looked on with a curious gaze
"Well, I came here to stop the disturbance and I did, whatever is left is for you five to clean up. If I recall, the Demon Lord's Pact is binding, and I do believe that if any Demon Lord were to break the pact, they would be in violation of going against the creator of the demonkin, Armenakis, and would be held accountable not just by the people of the Demon World, but by divine standards as well...do with that information as you wish" Leilani stated with a cheeky grin, looking at Viktorus whose eyes were wide and full of fear
"Yes, I do believe that is the case...thank you as always Great Scholar, we are forever in your debt" Demon Lord Trinius said with a knowing nod
"Good. Very Good" Leilani replied with a wide grin as she stood up from her chair
"Right, now that I am practically done here, I will leave whatever happens now to you five, including the election of a new Demon Lord for the continent of Saras" She added as she snapped her fingers and a portal appeared behind her
"Of course Great Scholar, thank you once again" All of them said in unison as they stood up and then bowed to her one last time
"Alrighty then, oh and by the way, which one of you is a girl by the name of Luckner?" Leilani asked as she looked at the subordinates behind the Demon Lords
"Ummm, me...Ma'am" A young demonkin girl with flowing black hair standing behind Trinius said as she raised her hand
"Ah, tell your sister thank you for helping me" The Old Scholar said with a smile
"I...I will" Luckner said with a nod
"Ok good, Ciao" Leilani said as she waved and then disappeared into the portal that followed her shortly after
Once the portal closed, the 5 Demon Lords looked at one another and nodded as they all collapsed onto the seats and let out sighs of relief, with some of them having tired and crazed chuckles as they held their heads in their hands, some of them even trembling. The subordinates were looking at one another confused as they had never seen either of the Demon Lords like this, even Viktorus, the man who had started all of this was beginning to sob as the realization of the full extent of the consequences of his actions dawned on him for what he had done.
"Umm...My Lady...who was that?" One of the aides of Demon Lord Kalka asked as he stepped forward
"That...that is someone who you should forget exists" Kalka answered him as she stood up and faced him
"What do you mean My Lady?" The other aide asked with confusion
"She is someone that is mentioned in the Demon Lord's Pact. We cannot speak of her unless she grants us permission, and considering she has not, we will not divulge that information" Kalka added as she stood up and looked at both of them
"She is right. Although we cannot tell you in detail who she is, just know that her existence is a highly guarded secret by many of the old world. A world that is long gone but tasks us to keep that knowledge alive" Demon Lord Anep added as he stood up as well and looked at the subordinates
"Moving past that, what should we do about our former colleague?" Demon Lord Lizguarda asked as he looked over to the defeated and demoralized Viktorus
"She left that for us for that very same question" Demon Lord Trinius answered him as he pointed at a pristine-looking scroll on the other end of the table that was not there before, it had a golden color that twinkled as all looked upon it
"A summoning scroll....oh..." Demon Lord Mistaline remarked as she stood from her seat and walked over to it, feeling the pristine scroll and softly running her hands all over it as she cradled it with care
She looked up at her colleagues across the table and then turned her gaze to Viktorus who was looking at her with defeated eyes that were beginning to water. His lips trembled at the sight of the scroll in her hand and the judgment that came with it.
"Viktorus...for the crimes of breaching the Demon Lord's Pact and going against the will of our creator...how do you plead?" She asked him as she looked at him dead in the eyes
"I plead...guilty"
{!}
The aides of the Demon Lords let out audible gasps at his guilty plea, all of them shocked as they expected him to try and defend himself and even try to escape, they were all about to say something but noticed that their Lords and Ladies were all looking at him with regretful and remorseful expressions as if they were expecting this answer.
"Do you have any final statements?" Mistaline continued
"I have broken the sanctity of the Demon Lord's Pact. I have betrayed the trust of my people, and of my God. I have been fooled by conmen posing as scholars and a shapeshifter posing as an angel...my crimes are unforgivable as I have committed the gravest sin that our race can commit...I deserve no such forgiveness when I enter the afterlife" Viktorus answered her as tears began flowing down his cheeks as he kept eye contact with Mistaline
"Do you know you shall not be judged by your fellow Demon Lords for your crimes?"
"I do"
"Do you know that there will be a possibility of your death?"
"I do"
"Then, Demon Lord Viktorus...of the continent of Sanshara...I shall now summon forth an Angel of Judgment who shall be your judge, jury...and if they will it, executioner" Mistaline finished as she opened the scroll, with Viktorus closing his eyes and bracing himself for what was to come
"ÑÑùŠõβξ∏†εû" Mistaline spoke as she opened up the scroll
{!}
Suddenly, the scroll glowed a bright golden color before turning into fire in the hands of Mistaline who dropped it out of reaction. It hit the floor and the light suddenly vanished as a figure appeared before them once the light was gone. The figure towered before them and had large black feathery wings that stretched from its back, it was dressed in a white robe with a black hood that covered its face, with a pair of red horns protruding from the top, it had a massive scythe in one hand that it planted on the ground. The Demon Lords and their subordinates could feel its eyes gazing around the room despite seeing nothing under the hood, and they could all tell once it looked upon Viktorus. With a swift motion of its giant scythe, it had cut Viktorus free and then held him in the palm of its hand as it looked at him.
"Viktorus Von Vallern...you have been accused of committing the crime of breaching the Demon Lord's Pact and have pleaded guilty. For such an act, the only punishment is death. Do you understand this?" The angel of Armenakis asked
"I do..." Viktorus answered as he bowed his head, not even daring himself to look the angel in the eyes,
"However, since you have pleaded guilty when others would have pleaded innocent and would have tried to escape judgment, you are tasked with confessing that sin to the whole of the Demon World"
"I understand...I shall make sure there are no such falsehoods in my statement, only the truth" Viktorus replied
"Good. For if you were to lie, you would be struck down without hesitation" The angel finished
"Then...I believe it is best to begin getting to work" Viktorus stated as he glanced up at the angel, seeing nothing but the abyss in his eyes
"Indeed. We shall" The angel told him as he placed him back down and shrunk down to his size and began following him out of the room
Before Viktorus exited however, he took one last turn to his fellow Demon Lords and bowed deeply before exiting. For despite his crimes, the Demon Lords knew that Viktorus was an honorable and truthful demonkin and he would indeed tell nothing but the truth in his statements that were soon to be heard across the Demon World. Their only regret was that they had lost who they could arguably call one of the best of their kind...fooled and twisted by sick bastards who used him for their own wishes.
