The Moon Thief

Chapter 95: The Arrival of the Great Raid

When the ground collapsed, he fell about fifteen meters down with the pieces of rock.

"Damn it!" Heinald threw away the rocks that had fallen on him.

He drank one of the healing potions he had prepared earlier, but these potions were becoming less and less effective for him. Moreover, these potions did not have strong healing effects, his wounds needed more serious treatment.

But first, he had to get out of the way he fell. He created a small flame in his hand and illuminated the surroundings. It was in a small room, there were several chests around.

Heinald moved to the chest closest to him and opened it.

As soon as he opened the chest, a red light emanating from inside the chest illuminated the surroundings greatly. He soon realized that this light was coming from a red crystal.

"What an intense Fire Elemental Energy!" Heinald could both feel and see the energy emanating from the crystal.

The Fire Element Energy emitted by the crystal was so intense that the elemental particles around the crystal were transforming into fire element particles. This caused sparks to form around the crystal.

Heinald immediately took the stone and sent it into the dimensional pocket of his robe.

When he opened the chest next to the one he had opened earlier, he saw two mirrors. He could feel an immense amount of Dark Energy emanating from these two mirrors.

*BAM!* As Heinald was trying to figure out what these two mirrors he had discovered were, he heard an explosion that shook the whole place.

"Damn...I have to leave this place right now!" Heinald shifted his gaze upwards. If anyone discovered him, it would be the end of him.

He sent the mirrors inside the chest to the dimensional pocket of his robe for later inspection.

He grit his teeth and jumped, putting all his strength on his feet.

When he reached the top again, he quickly headed for the entrance to leave.

He didn't know what the rest of the team was doing, but he couldn't continue with the injuries he received, so he wanted to leave without encountering another magic user.

The days passed quickly and it's been ten days since the raid.

The raids on various meeting places of the Deph Enerun organization were successful, but there were some casualties.

Renshi, Lork and Durkus died that night in the team led by Janeroth. Heinald, on the other hand, was badly injured. Most of the Pavants there were finished off by Janeroth, who had the might of a Level 2 Ainsar.

At the same time, five Pavants from Eneel's organization had died during the raid.

Renshi, Lork, and Durkus were not ordinary Ainsars. They were successful Ainsars who had managed to enter the Ruthas Academy. According to Heinald, the reason they died was because the magic users in this realm, the Pavants, had a different combat style. For example, Pavant, whom he had killed earlier, used a strange stone against him. No one would have guessed that such a small stone could have so much destructive power. If Heinald wasn't wearing the durable robe his grandfather gave him, he would have died, even if that explosion had not been directly exposed.

In such cases, he understood better the value of a Protective-type Magical Treasure.

Heinald had healed the injuries in his internal organs with various herbal teas he had prepared. Although this process was hundreds of times slower than the effect of a healing potion, it was the only method he had under current circumstances. The Low-Level Healing Potion he used had not healed the injuries in his internal organs. This was due to his body's immunity to the potion.

Fortunately, an Ainsar's recovery speed was too high to be compared to an ordinary human. He had managed to recover, albeit not quickly, thanks to some herbs that had a slight healing effect that he had hidden in the dimensional pocket of his robe.

The injuries to his bones, on the other hand, did not take much damage since his bones were previously hardened with a special mixture he prepared with Messoy Mushrooms, they were restored to their former state in a shorter time than the internal organs.

Apart from that, Lady Tisha and Arlies had almost completely destroyed the meeting place they attacked. Considering the might of the two Level 2 Ainsars, this was a normal result.

In the meantime, everyone had begun to prepare for the attack on the headquarters of the Deph Enerun organization.

Heinald was keeping as low a profile as possible throughout this process, secretly communicating every word Lady Tisha had said to Eneel.

During his healing process, his preoccupation, excluding brewing potions, had been to examine the crystal containing high Fire Elemental energy and the mirrors containing Dark Energy.

Since he exploited the information in every book he found, his knowledge had reached very high levels. This knowledge included not only herbs and potions, but also runes, seals, and formations.

Heinald thought he could use this crystal as an energy source for a very powerful trap formation. In his spare time for days, he had been drafting a powerful trap formation in his mind.

He had only one reason to want to successfully create this trap formation: If Eneel decided to kill him, at least inflict a severe wound on him before he died.

He had searched for a way out for a long time, but no solution came to his mind. He was almost certain that Eneel would kill them once he achieved his goal, and unfortunately he couldn't have a good plan against a Level 3 Ainsar.

"I've run out of all the materials I have." Heinald had a thoughtful expression as he stared at the potion bottle he was holding.

"Heinald! We're going to take action soon, be prepared!"

Janeroth appeared with his usual stern expression on his face.

"I will be." Heinald said after greeting the Level 2 Ainsar in front of him.

"Master Eneel will be there during the attack to personally fight Pavant Olfern." Janeroth said.

Pavant Olfern was the head of the Deph Enerun organization. He had the might of a Level 3 Ainsar. Moreover, he was also known to be one of the wealthiest people in the Starlight Realm.

Heinald thought, "Being in the area where Eneel and Olfern are fighting would mean certain death. I definitely need to stay away from where they're fighting. Moreover, Eneel is a truly intelligent man. Tisha would be aware of his presence at the moment of the raid so she would not dare to defy him at that time and turn back."

Tisha, on the other hand, still thought that if something did not please her during the raid, she could still give up and turn back. Of course, this was because Janeroth had touted himself as one of his organization's directors.

Tisha did not think that there would be a problem as she thought that the other directors of that organization were at the same level as Janeroth.

"When exactly will the raid be?" Heinald asked.

"Not sure yet, but probably in a week." Janeroth replied.

After Janeroth left, Heinald began to think seriously. Thanks to his grandfather's education, he had always been someone who cared about having a plan. The fact that he couldn't have any plan in the current situation was bothering him. Moreover, he did not have enough data to comment on the events that would occur.

He was confident that if he had never met Eneel, he would have easily gathered information about the Starlight Realm and the Pavants. He would somehow decipher the language in this realm and begin to gain data. Unfortunately, things didn't turn out the way he wanted. The events that were going to happen were not in his control.

Earlier, his combat with that Pavant had taught him that at any moment he could face an attack he did not know. Therefore, during the raid on the headquarters of the Deph Enerun organization, he hoped to disguise himself with the techniques he had and avoid any combat.

Over the next week, Heinald tried to create a trap formation using all his knowledge. However, unfortunately, he was not able to form a formation as he wanted. Despite all his efforts, the formation he was able to create was kind of a extermination formation. Moreover, he was not sure that he could control this extermination formation.

Finally, when it was time to raid the headquarters of the Deph Enerun organization, everyone gathered together.

Tisha, Heinald, and Arlies met at dusk with Janeroth and 50 Pavants of his organization in a wooded area near the Deph Enerun organization's headquarters. Tisha looked a little relieved when she saw the 50 Pavants. These Pavants were all considered equal to Level 1 Ainsar power.

"When will he appear?" Heinald asked himself when he couldn't see Eneel around. He wondered what Tisha and Arlies' faces would look like when he showed up. They would probably feel the same distress as he was in his situation at the time.

Heinald began to examine the massive building across the wooded area. Although it looked like a normal mansion from the outside, everyone there guessed that this exterior was a deception. Most of the structures that organizations built would be underground.

It was obvious that some kind of formation was protecting the area of this mansion, but it didn't seem as strong as the formations Heinald had seen before. Maybe this formation could stop a Level 2 Ainsar, but he didn't stand a chance against a Level 3 Ainsar.
