The Moon Thief

Chapter 84: To the Shadowmirage Mountains

Heinald's second achievement was his experiments on the potion called Shied of Fire Heart. He gathered the materials he thought might be compatible with this potion and as a result of various experiments he carried out, he added an essence consisting of a mixture of Elir Flower Leaf and Juirus Seed to the potion's formula. As a result, he managed to increase the immunity rate against fire that potion provides to the person consuming it by 5%, increasing it to 20%. However, the addition of this material slightly increased the impurity rate of the formula.

His last achievement was to improve the potion's effect called Distilled Thunder Essence. Under normal circumstances, Distilled Thunder Essence would provide 10% immunity to the Lightning Element, but after the experiments this rate increased to 15%, but the potion's duration was decreased to 7 minutes. The reason for this was that the newly added material called Raven Eye Retina was somewhat incompatible with Black Rose Leaf, which is the main ingredient that determines the potion's effect duration.

Heinald also experimented with other potion formulas he knew, but considering that he would be compatible, none of the ingredients he listed were compatible to be added to the formula of these potions. That's why he thought there was no point in trying any further and ended his experiments.

It was time to complete the task given to him by his master. Therefore, when he finished his experiments, he made a quick preparation and left the mansion to begin his long journey. Of course, he had not neglected to talk to his master for a while before leaving.

Shadowmirage Mountains that he needed to go were located near the northeastern borders of the Neuor Theocracy.

A ride on horseback would be quite tiring for him. So he was thinking of going by an airship to Weirl City, the city closest to the northeastern border of the Neuor Theocracy.

Therefore, he got on one of the horse carriages waiting in front of the mansion and traveled to the Airship Port. He had seen airships from afar before, but when he looked closely, he realized that they were much bigger in a close look.

These airships could be found in every city of the Neuor Theocracy. The owner of this airship network was the Anjsen Family. This family was among the most powerful families thanks to their powerful family members and incredible resource wealth.

In order to get on the Airship, it was first necessary to buy a ticket from the big building on the right of the Airship Port. Heinald paid 50 Arkana Stones and bought a ticket for the airship to Weirl City. For this trip, which is not normally long, this price was too expensive for many Ainsars, but for a Potion Master like him, this amount was pretty insignificant.

Heinald bought his ticket and started walking towards the airship indicated on the ticket. An attendant waiting outside the airship checked Heinald's ticket and then assigned another attendant to serve him.

The inside of the Airship was no different from a luxury home. Apart from the private rooms, there was even an area equipped with large windows for those who wanted to watch the journey from a wide area.

The attendant left after showing Heinald his room.

The room had a large bed, bathroom and desk.

Heinald smiled and muttered as he looked around, "A nice journey awaits me."

After a few hours, the airship took off and set off for Wierl City. Heinald was particularly preoccupied with thoughts about the magic formation that allowed the airship to soar through the air like a bird. It was obvious that this formation was made by an Ainsar who had acquired some understanding on the Space Concept. This formation was destroying the gravity around the airship.

Heinald would have given anything to gain a very small amount of understanding of the Concept of Space and Light, but for now he was far from gaining an understanding. Moreover, he did not have much time to gain understanding.

His journey took about 5 days.

Heinald had reached Wierl City. Now it was time to cross the Manien Heights and reach the Shadowmirage Mountains.

Heinald bought himself a horse as his first job and left town without delay. After a two-day travel, he managed to cross the Manien Heights.

He stopped in a small town located south of the Shadowmirage Mountains border. He would find an inn here and spend time there until morning. It was not wise to travel towards the mountains at night. Moreover, he wanted to learn from the innkeeper what he knew about the mountains. Listening to the locals was the best way to get to know a place.

As he wandered the squalid streets of the border town, the few people he saw greeted him with respect and fear. For ordinary people, Ainsars were like gods, who could destroy them at will.

Heinald entered the only inn he could see. There was nobody inside but four people gathered around a table. But there was something interesting; these four people were not ordinary people. They were also Ainsars like himself.

They stared at him in surprise when they noticed the energy waves Heinald was emitting. It was clear that they did not expect to see an Ainsar in such a border town.

The innkeeper immediately ran up to him and said, "Welcome, my lord."

"Mmm." Heinald gave a nod.

"Greetings, friend! Would you like to join us?" One of the four sitting at the table invited Heinald.

"Certainly." Heinald replied.

Everyone at the table introduced themselves to him. These four were Level 1 Ainsars named Kulin, Faskor, Juben, and Kavns.

Their purpose in coming here was to assist Kavns in his exploration work that he had been conducting for several years. According to Kavns, there was a large catacombs beneath the Vinestream Valley between three mountains.

After years of exploring this area, he finally discovered an entrance, but was attacked by a large number of creatures. Therefore, he could not continue his exploration and sought support from friends he knew.

Heinald looked at Kavns and asked, "What makes this catacombs such an interesting place for you?"

Kavns shrugged and said, "There's no obvious reason. Ancient tombs always contain relics from ancient times. Who knows, maybe we'll find something interesting."

Heinald chatted with them until the morning and got useful information and advice about the mountains.

In the morning he said goodbye to them and set out for the mountains. The mountain he had to reach was the rearmost mountain, Mount Ariek. But for this he would use mountain passes. The valley between these mountains was huge, and he was warned that it was too dangerous to travel there.

Climbing the mountains would undoubtedly be much more difficult than traveling in the flat valley, but at least it would not be as dangerous as it would be in the valley.

Mount Mlovid and Mount Erdest were side by side, the area in the middle of which was the beginning of the Vinestream Valley.

Heinald started walking down the path that led up to the slope of Mlovid mountain. Since the roads of this mountain were not for a horse, he left his horse at the inn in the border town. To reach the mountain pass, he had to reach the back of the mountain. The path of Mlovid mountain was a zig-zag path. He could not see the upper reaches because of the snow and heavy fog, but he could predict that the whole road would not continue like this.

For several hours Heinald headed on the mountain road without stopping. He could see that he was getting closer and closer to the clouds, the coldness of the air was getting harder and harder for even an Ainsar to bear.

*Tyaaank!* The sudden shrill screech suddenly set off alarm bells in Heinald's mind. He knew at once that that shrill cry belonged to a Roneg. A very strong wind blew towards him from his right. A Roneg with a huge body descended towards the mountain road and landed there.

His bright red eyes stared wildly at Heinald.

"The energy waves emanating from him are somewhat suppressing my energy waves. He must have a strength almost close to that of a Level 2 Ainsar." Heinald said inwardly.

Roneg, whom Heinald encountered last time, was prone to the Poison Element. However, this Roneg was prone to the Fire Element as he was radiating massive waves of Fire Energy. Like every Magical Beast, this Roneg had a prone.

Narox appeared in Heinald's hand. He sent Magical Energy to it and carefully waited for Roneg's next move.

*Wuuuak!* Roneg cried out and threw a fireball from his mouth towards Heinald.

Heinald immediately swung the wind-wrapped Narox and met the fireball coming towards him.

The heat wave that emerged from the impact of the collision instantly melted the surrounding glaciers.

Heinald gathered all his strength in his legs and rushed towards Roneg.

Roneg swung his right claw, which was sharper than a sword, at Heinald, who was coming towards him. When the claw collided with the sword, a small shock wave appeared and Heinald was blown back.
