The Moon Thief

Azarb Serpent stood in all itsfright. The cruel look in its eyes caused great uneasiness in everyone.

Heinald immediately took a Poisoneater Potion from the dimensional pocket of his robe and drank it.

Others on the team had also made their own preparations. Galer had pulled a dagger out of his robe pocket, but it didn't look like a regular dagger.

With a snap of Galer's fingers, a few runes appeared on the dagger and began to glow. Four different copies of the Dagger formed, and they all began to circle around Galer. This dagger was an Attack-type Magical Treasure.

Aleinar had taken a blue sphere out of her robe's pocket.

Labas, on the other hand, had drawn the sword from his waist. His sword was covered with a burning aura of fire when he took it in his hand. This sword was also an Assault-type Magic Treasure.

Ajna took a potion known as the 'Ice Sea Potion' from her pocket and drank it. This potion increased the effect of the Ice Element by 5% for 5 minutes.

*Hhhisss!* Azarb Serpent hissed long and uneasily. He slowly began to look for a position to attack. The black scales on him slowly began to turn silver.

"Its using its innate defense spell." Heinald narrowed his eyes.

"Let's attack!" Galer shouted.

Heinald immediately cast Lightning Spear and hurled it into the body of the Azarb Serpent. However, the serpent dodged it with a swift and agile movement.

*BAM!* Lightning Spear slammed into the wall behind, resulting in a lightning blast. A part of the wall collapsed as a result of the violent explosion.

Daggers around Galer were covered with lightning bolts. He waved his arm and the daggers all flew towards the serpent; he was in complete control of the daggers and could command them as he wished.

*Hissss!* Azarb Serpent's eyes lit up with anger when it saw the daggers coming towards itself. The sound of two metals hitting each other and an annoying rubbing sound came as the daggers slammed into its body. The Lightning Bolts began to dance on the giant serpent's scales.

Azarb Serpent quickly spun around, pushing the surrounding daggers away from itself. The daggers had failed to inflict the slightest damage on him. Only made the giant serpent was more enraged.

Galer's expression darkened he saw this, "Damn! How to break its defense?"

Heinald said, "These scales are its innate magic, I don't think it can use this continuously. Hold on, when its scales turn back normal, attack with your strongest spells."

The giant serpent suddenly rushed towards Galer and opened its mouth to swallow him in one swift move.

"Take this!" Heinald stepped forward and started using his Spiritual Spell-Death Ray. The ray of fire from his hands struck directly into the serpent's mouth.

*Hhiiiiiissss!* The giant serpent made a pained noise and stepped back. The inside of its mouth was a completely defenseless place, so the horribly heated fire ray had managed to leave a painful wound inside his mouth. If this creature had the power of a Level 1 Ainsar, this attack could have killed him, but this giant Azarb Serpent had the power of a Level 2 Ainsar.

Galer looked gratefully at Heinald beside him and said, "Nice one!"

At that time, Ajna had finished casting a spell. Five icicles appeared around her. The elemental energy waves emanating from these icicles were so intense that they were almost visible to the naked eye. The ground in the immediate vicinity of female Ainsar was beginning to be covered with a light layer of ice.

When Ajna waved her hand, five icicles started flying towards the giant serpent simultaneously. Azarb Serpent managed to dodge two of the icicles flying towards him with quick body movements, but was struck directly by the remaining three.

The icicles that struck its formidable scales, pierced there and completely froze the area they had struck.

*Hhissss!* Azarb Serpent felt angrily and raised its body as high as he could. He then sent a cloud of poisonous gas down its mouth. The poisonous gas cloud began to wreak havoc on the ground it touched.

Heinald shouted, "Everybody come towards me!"

Although his sudden call surprised everyone at first, they reacted quickly and rushed towards him.

A large jar appeared in Heinald's hand. When he broke it, the gel-like liquid inside was splashed on him and everyone around him.

At that time, a cloud of poisonous gas was slowly beginning to envelop the entire area.

"What is that?" Ajna asked.

Heinald said, "This gel will greatly reduce the damage of the toxic gas on the skin."

*Cough* *Cough* Everyone but Heinald started coughing. He was unaffected by the poisonous gas that had surrounded him from the Poisoneater Potion he had taken before, but the others' breathing started to burn them from the inside.

They all took rags from the pockets of their robes and covered their faces. If they breathed too much, they would end up very badly.

At the moment, Azarb Serpent acted again and suddenly threw a poisonous spittle at their location.

"Be careful!" Heinald somersaulted to the side. Galer, Aleinar and Labas also managed to get away from that area somehow, but Ajna did not react as quickly as the others and was hit by the poisonous saliva.

*Aggghhhh!* Ajna's screams of pain filled the entire area. The woman, whose entire body was covered with poisonous saliva, began to melt rapidly. Everyone watched as the poor woman's entire skin began to flake off in a matter of seconds, and before long it had completely vanished without a trace. The area where Ajna used to stand was now a small pool boiling with poisonous saliva. A sickening smell and toxic fumes were emanating from that area all around.

Everyone except Aleinar was making a great effort not to vomit. Aleinar herself, on the other hand, was in shock at seeing such a sight for the first time, and a statue was cut into a musculature. Her hands and pupils were trembling.

Observing the situation, Heinald immediately rushed to her side and began to shake her, "Control yourself now is not the time! If you do n't want to die like that, start attacking with us right now!"

"Again! Watch Out!" Galer cried out in anxiety.

Azarb Serpent tensed to spit poisonous spittle again. Heinald immediately threw Aleinar to the right, and he jumped to the left.

*Shousshh* When Azarb Serpent threw the poisonous saliva, the saliva didn't hit anyone and hit the ground directly. A voice rose from the ground, like duck meat thrown into hot oil. Again, toxic fumes began to rise above the ground.

"Its scales are back to normal!" Labas shouted.

Heinald immediately took the Theton Potion out of his pocket and consumed it. The nasty-tasting liquid slid down his throat, burning like boiling water. He instantly felt that the Fire Energy in his entire body had become raging like an overflowing brook.

"Together!"

Heinald quickly cast Fire Vines and then immediately cast his Spiritual Spell-Death Ray. Wrapped with fire vines coming out of the ground, the serpent is directly hitted by the fire ray.

*Hhhiiiisss!* Azarb Serpent began to hiss painfully. He was almost completely engulfed in fire, and the effect of these fires was increased with the help of a potion.

Labas shouted "Lightning Meteor!"

A ball of lightning nearly half the size of the gigantic serpent formed above the Azarb Serpent and began to descend towards the serpent.

*BAM!* When the huge ball of lightning fell on Azarb Serpent's already bound body, he experienced a violent lightning blast. Lightning twigs scattered all around and the surroundings were illuminated with a dazzling white-blue mixed light. The violent waves caused by the explosion blew away the crew members along with many stone fragments.

The entire environment was completely covered with dust.

The Heinals shouted, "Everybody okay?"

"I'm fine but i can't see it!" Galer answered.

Labas said, "Be careful, it may attack suddenly."

"I-Isn't it dead?" Aleinar's voice trembled.

As the dust began to dissipate, the giant serpent was seen inside a large crater formed after the explosion. Some scales had shed from various parts of its body, and both of itseyes had completely disappeared. Smoke was rising from its whole body, and there was a foul burning smell all around. However, everyone there knew that the giant serpent did not die because the energy waves emanating from it could be felt by everyone.

The Azarb Serpent had a large hollow in one part of its body. Heinald's Spiritual Magic had caused this hollow. The scales there were completely gone, and the serpent's skin in that area was completely charred.

"Damaging those scales would be nothing short of a dream if its innate magic hadn't ended. Its still not dead, though, and we can kill it, if we manage to strike powerful enough attacks on the large wound I've inflicted. " Heinald observed the Azarb Serpent lying inside the crater and began to draw inferences.
