The Lecherous Prince and His Playmate [BL]

Chapter 85

“Your highness, you know how much I love you,” she said in a pleading tone.

“I know how much you love me. You’d even drink my urine if I told you to.”

She frowned, but had to agree. He wasn’t wrong there. “I’m wrong, I know it. I want you all to myself, not having to share you with the others.”

“They came before you, Ae Cha. How can you be so selfish?”

“Your Majesty, ever since learning of your existence, and seeing you for the first time, I’ve loved you—can you blame me for falling in love with you? Let alone love you. You are my everything, Your Majesty.”

Changling scratched the back of his ear, annoyed, “You know, Youxian said something similar to me not too long ago.”

Hearing Youxian’s name pissed her off. She stood up, holding her dress. “What do you mean, he said something similar?”

“Do you know why he left me?” He asked, staring at her.

She shook her head. There had been rumours going around after she joined the harem that Youxian left everything behind, including all the money he was given. The strangest of them all was that he was jealous of Haeun’s marriage to the Crown Prince and it made the most sense.

“I married the crown princess to benefit myself and secure the throne. I wish I could have married him, but he instead ran away and gave birth to my child. Ae Cha, you were here, and you knew how much I suffered because of his absence. Why can’t you support me? Instead, you took advantage of me and I let you. You had a place beside me. You became the mother of my child, a duty not everyone is capable of, and for what? In the end, to stab me in the back and plot out a murder against the one I love? Can’t you accept them?”

“Your highness, why can’t you accept me and my feelings for you? I love you more than anyone else don’t you see that?”

Standing up, he looked down at her as he placed his hands on her shoulders. Smiling, he shook his head, “You’re simple minded if you think that I never loved you. I still do, but you betrayed me. You say my daughter is dangerous? What about me? I am her father and what about you? Who knows what you’ve done behind my back—your other crimes, my dear consort?”

She was confused. Ae Cha didn’t know what to do. He was holding her in place and the hands on her shoulders were digging into her skin with incredible pain. Shaking her head as she tried to ignore it, “You—your hurting me.”

“Because of you, my daughter almost died. Because of you, my daughter became a murderer. What else is going to happen because of you?”

Changling’s hands moved to her neck and stayed there as he squeezed her. Youxia’s tearful eyes—how dead she looked when he visited her—the pain Yerim went through.

“I’ve been good. It’s been years, but I don’t mind—showing the kingdom what a monster I am made all of them behave and you my dear conso—”

While Changling’s vision was blinded by red, on the other side of the palace someone with equally red vision made his way through the palace, tearing down palace walls and searching for this handsome man.

Kicking Consort Kwon’s chamber door open, Youxian saw Changling holding his wife’s body in the air. Her legs were kicking, struggling from the lack of oxygen as she dangling.

Shaking his head, he walked over to Changling, who looked like he’d reached the peak of being a lunatic. Grabbing the teapot from the table, he slammed it against Changling’s head, but the motherfucker didn’t budge.

Picking up the tray, he slammed it against his head, breaking it as the clash pushed him over. Consort Kwan dropped to the floor, breathing heavily for air as she crawled to the corner, clawing at her throat that was burning.

She looked over at Youxian and saw that his expression was livid.

Changling let out a cough as he held his head. He looked up and saw Youxian standing by him.

“Ah-Xian?” he called.

Youxian looked around the chamber, and his eyes landed on a clay vase. He grabbed it and held it over his head, glaring at Changling.

Changling’s eyes widened, “Wh—what are you doing?”

With as much force as he could, Youxian slammed it down onto his head, but Changling’s arm saved his life, blocking it from hitting his head directly.

Holding his arm that was bleeding, he looked up at Youxian as the guards came running in. Changling held his hands out. He didn’t want them hurting Youxian in any way.

A servant helped him up and as he looked at Youxian, a fist came flying right into his cheek.

“Your Majesty!” They screeched.

His head felt like it was spinning, bringing him back from his deranged thoughts, and when he looked at Youxian, he saw the guards holding him back. “I SAID LET HIM GO!”

They froze at the sound of his yell.

Everyone looked at the Emperor. How could he let these things go? Wasn’t he ashamed that everyone would find out?

Coughing, he ordered, “Every one of you get out! This has nothing to do with the palace or officials. This is my family affair and anyone who interferes will suffer my wrath.”

They listened with hesitant ears, but no one wanted to be on the other end of his anger. Things may have calmed down in the past years, but now things seemed to spark up again.

Once the extra bodies left the chamber, holding his arm, Changling sighed, “Youxian, what has gotten into you? Do you know how much trouble you can get into for harming me?”

“Oh, shut up!” Youxian said, grabbing him by the robe. He slapped Changling across the face—a second time, a third time, then a forth screaming, “Why huh? Why? Why can’t you just leave me alone? Why do you think doing this will make things right between us? Why?”

Changling was silent as Youxian had him pinned against the wall. Youxian raised his hand, ready to hit him again, but he didn’t have the strength. Dropping his hand, he fell in Changling’s arms defeated, “Why are you doing this? Answer me, please.”

He looked up at his face. “Why can’t you leave me alone?”

“Is this about moving you and Xianling into the main palace?”

“Do you want me to kill you?”

“What?”

“You won’t leave me. Why don’t you just live in misery alone?”

“You’re welcome to kill me, Ah-Xian. I’m standing right here. I’m sure you go to sleep every night thinking of ways to kill me, but I know you Ah-Xian, you aren’t capable of doing that.”

Youxian tsked and butthead Changling in the nose. Changling fell back against the wall, cupping his nose with blood dripping from it.

Staring down at him, he said, “If this is the life you want to live, then let’s do it. I’m more than ready to help you live in hell.”

He turned, making his way over to Ae Cha and knelt down. “Are you okay?”

She shook her head frantically with her eyes almost popping out.

Looking back at their husband, who was just staring at them expressionlessly, he turned back to her and said, “That’s the man you wanted me dead over. Are you happy now? Being married to him all these years, he never showed you what he is—a monster—that is what I fell in love with—a monster and you? You fell in love with the illusion of a monster. Everyone—him, his children, me, your Yerim, Youxia and the crown prince, we’re all monsters. This petty revenge, jealousy you’ve got going on. It’s nothing compared to what we are capable of. If you want him, you can have him, but don’t cry when you regret your decision—it’s the life you chose.”
