CHAPTER 168 **Just someone she’ll never Understand…**
“If you don’t get him to stop, I will kill you!”
Sahara teleported Naruto to her and reduced his size, for him to happily cuddle into her as he was breathing heavily.
Not long after, Matthew stopped his father from diving towards Sahara and saw how angry he was.
“Let me go! I have to teach this girl a lesson!” Christian angrily stated.
Matthew held down his father and turned to Sahara, only to see that she wasn’t worried.
“Let me go boy!”
Matthew then let him go, only to kick him from the side as Christian went passed him.
Christian rolled and got up onto his feet. “You think you can take me? You lack the experience!”
Matthew narrowed his eyes at his father and continued to stand in front of Sahara.
…While Sahara sat back down again, closing her eyes to send another star off, Matthew fought his father.
Christian was surprised at his son’s cultivation.
He was higher ranked than Matthew, but he was sure that the last time he saw him, his son had only been at rank seven!
Hadn’t it…It had only been less than a year?
How could his son have ranked up so quickly!?
Christian forgot all his anger of wanting to take out Sahara, as it changed to showing his son how much he lacked in experience, and it was working!
After they exchanged a few blows, Christian had already gone to do a death blow, stopping just beforehand.
“You’re leaving yourself opened.”
“I normally am fighting with a sword.” Matthew stated.
“Even if you get your sword out, I’ll still win!” Christian said, wiping his forehead.
Matthew smiled and brought out his Golden Sword, “Fine, let’s do this!”
Never had he fought his son’s before. He’d fought his nephews, but not his own sons!
It was…Strange!
Christian tried not to spend so much effort dodging Matthew’s sword but ended up having to do it anyway.
“Lavender! Get my sword!” Christian yelled, jumping back after attempting to hit Matthew.
He understood now that the sword has a defence type shield to it!
Now he knew why Matthew had not blocked that time, it was because the sword would have done it for him!
Quickly, he turned towards where Lavender would come from, only to see Steven with his sword instead, making him angry.
“Focus, Father! Your target is me!” Matthew said, coming in from his father’s back.
With a quick turn and rolling to the floor, Christian had gotten up, ran to Steven and plucked out the sword from his hand.
“Give it your best shot!” Christian firmly stated, holding the sword now with two hands.
And just like that, the day turned into father/son day!
Steven joined in and Christian was exhausted by the end of it…But it seems to have made them closer, whether they liked it or not!
“Got it!” Sahara finally yelled, which indeed woke the little beast that had fallen asleep in her lap.
The boys were already taking a break, when they finally remembered Sahara.
Matthew immediately got up and raced towards her. “What did you find out?”
“It is Prince Liam, but he doesn’t have many men with him anymore, but he has someone helping him to organize it all. It’s Gabriella! Would you believe it! She’s still alive! My next idea was to try and find her and then just…I don’t know, put her in a cell or something? What do you say?”
Matthew leaned in and gave her a kiss, “This Prince trusts you!”
Sahara pulled him back, when he went to leave, and Matthew fell to the floor but didn’t stop Sahara, as he kissed her back.
“Manners!”
Obviously, someone didn’t like the idea of them kissing right now…
Sahara looked back at Christian, after breaking away from Matthew, and smiled, “Be good and I’ll give you a special pill!”
He looked at her in pure irritation, clearly seeing how Sahara was treating him, “…I’m not a child!”
Putting a white pill in the air, Sahara smirked at him, and said, “This pill here is the best you can get! It’s like a magnet, getting spiritual essence to come straight to you! Do you want it!?”
Christian gave the pill a very long look…
Looking from the pill, to her, then back to the pill, he said, “It’s another trick!”
It wasn’t like he didn’t know about pills, but a white one and this woman…He just couldn’t trust it at all!
Sahara frowned. ‘Another’?
“I never tricked you to begin with, you idiot!”
“You did so!”
“No, I did not!”
“I don’t believe you!”
Sahara narrowed her eyes at Christian and put the pill away, “No pill for you! Steven, show him what he’s missing out on!”
Steven had been very quiet, just watching everyone else but…As soon as Sahara brought him into the conversation, he was secretly happy!
Straight away, he did as he was told and pulled out a white pill from his own stash, plopping it into his mouth.
Sahara saw that Christian was watching Steven, so now, she had gained some more time!
Geez, it’s like I’m trying to get my kid to watch tv so that I can go to the bathroom!
Closing her eyes, she looked for the spiritual essence that she now knew of as Gabriella’s…
Matthew let her be, smiling happily at her.
Did she do that on purpose? Making his father question her?
Or did Sahara not even know that Christian was just not a trusting person?
What was her play here with his father?
He…Was fighting with her like a child!
Seeing his father slowly show the tiniest bit of excitement, Matthew could see that Christian might even go as far as begging Sahara next.
What a funny sight, Matthew thought, picturing his biological father following his beloved Princess around like a little puppy! What if both is biological father and the Emperor were following her? Now that would be an interesting sight!
On the other hand, it was just moments before a pair of particular eyes went red in anger.
Having found the spiritual essence that was Gabriella’s, Sahara found that out that Gabriella was the one that let Miss Haves be able to not only kill a child, but a man as well!
Clenching her fist to the spiritual essence and its memories, Sahara sighed in her heart.
Would that man still be alive if Gabriella had not helped Miss Haves?
His family…
Then, that little baby. Perhaps…
Sahara felt sorry for the baby because she found that she was glad that it never got a chance to be born.
To have a mother like that and to grow up…Sahara just had a feeling that the poor child might be better off not being born at all…Just like how Christian felt of his offspring…
Getting her emotions in order and thinking that Christian may have a point with particular babies being born, Sahara went to continue, seeing the memories in the spiritual essence…Only to get even angrier!
Finding out that Gabriella was the one that attempted to attack her when she had been pregnant, when Matthew and she had reunited…Was also quite shocking.
Sahara did not think that Gabriella would take such a wicked road, finding herself upset to have thought that she hadn’t wanted to live a life that would be better, easier…Less death and revenge…
Yes, Sahara could feel it within the spiritual essence, that Gabriella seemed to dislike her a great deal! It just…Didn’t make sense why Gabriella had such a deep-rooted hatred for her…What had Sahara ever done to deserve it?
Sahara had never killed anyone…Or…Was it because her mother’s death? But Gabriella didn’t like her before that. And it wasn’t Sahara’s fault that Gabriella’s mother had used something that would get her killed.
The Two-Faced Poison had been used by her mother’s choice and Gabriella had no right to hate her for that!
Why!?
…It seems that Gabriella was taking a path that led her to do bad things, even before she seems to have teamed up with Prince Liam…Who, Sahara remembers, had been her kidnapper once…
It just didn’t make sense that Gabriella seemed to be willing to team up with someone that had caused her to go through pain.
Sahara remembered reading some books in her prior life about this kind of stuff, where someone fell in love with their captive but…Gabriella didn’t seem to hold those feelings for Prince Liam, so why…
It didn’t make any sense to Sahara, even though she saw the actions and feelings through the spiritual essence…
This feeling of not understanding someone was familiar to her and Sahara slumped unconsciously as she believed it was one of those times that she will probably not be able to ever understand.
Some people were just…As they were…With no understandable factor about them, they were just…Them…
Understanding someone had its limit’s, Sahara knew that, but she was opened minded and able to try and figure people out, but Gabriella was one of the ones that she couldn’t…So…What else was there but to continue?
Nothing prepared Sahara for the next memories that she saw though.
Letting out a small cry, Sahara stopped.
Having flashed through them, stopping just as she saw herself when Zeus was still alive, Sahara could see…What she did not want to see…
Her conversation had been overheard, about the pills, and Sahara just couldn’t…She just couldn’t believe it!
How could it be Gabriella?
That was her family!
How could she just kill them without a thought and just take the pills like they had been stolen from her instead!?
Before coming to these memories, Sahara had wondered where Gabriella had gotten the pills to have gotten higher in her rank in cultivation but…Never…Never did she think that it had been Gabriella that had killed her father, brother and good friend…
Opening her eyes, Sahara could hardly feel anything accept Gabriella’s spiritual essence.
Without knowing what spiritual essence that she was using, she teleported Gabriella right to her and did not even flinch to punch the newcomer in the face.
Gabriella, just like anyone else that would be suddenly appearing elsewhere, was completely shocked.
She had just been ready to…
After the small step back and attempting to put a hand to her face, Sahara didn’t give her more time before another punch landed on her face, “You! It was you!”
Matthew pulled Sahara back, a bit shaken to the sudden changes in Sahara.
Having seen her red eyes, he wasn’t stupid and knew that she was angry…But what was she angry at!?
“Oh…Sahara. It’s you, Ha!” Gabriella then saw Felix, leaning in further towards him to double check…
It really is him! So, he’s still alive! Last time that she had heard, he had been stabbed…
Looking back to the newcomer, as he was still holding back Sahara, Matthew frowned.
What did this person do?
“You killed them! Your own father! How could you!?” Sahara yelled out, trying to get out the arms that were holding her back, “Let me go!”
Widening his eyes to the sudden information, Matthew looked at the newcomer and squinted his eyes.
He knew this person as one of his bands, but…He had disappeared…Wait, it wasn’t a he…It was female.
“Do you have any conscious!? How could you just…”
Sahara stopped and looked away, tears blurred her vision and she put her head down.
No…Wasn’t it her fault?
The pills…
“Haha! Ah, it’s nice to see you look so defeated, Sahara! What a sight! I must place this well into my memory and look upon it whenever I need a laugh!”
Matthew had a bad feeling about this…Looking at the newcomer, he tried hard to know who she was and after a short moment…Something finally came to him as familiar.
‘You killed them! Your own father!’
It was…
“Gabriella…”
