Arc 1: Broken - Chapter 5
A few seconds passed, but Gilgamesh showed no sign of backing down from her words. She means business and will end his life if he does not comply with her demands.
Daisuke cannot say that he is shocked by the hostility of Gilgamesh. After all, their original Master, and being a male instead of female, would do whatever he wanted if it weren't for the Command Seals. Then Gilgamesh wouldn't stop so often, and now the Gilgamesh before him is free to do as she pleases. For she is not bound to a master, nor does she have Command Seals to temporarily bind her will.
"Well? My patience has its limits." Gilgamesh is now downright cold to Daisuke, showing no hint of joy or any of the positive emotions she had shown him in the past.
Daisuke didn't say anything other than to use The World to stop time again after a few seconds of rest. His heart, which was already getting stronger and would continue to get stronger with time, had already increased the duration of how long time would stop since a few seconds ago.
Under the influence of Omnifabrication, Daisuke now holds a golf ball-sized golden orb with unknown glowing red engraved symbols that continue to change every second. On the other hand, Gilgamesh no longer has her Gate of Babylon activated. In fact, she seems to become dull in life.
Time resumes flowing. Gilgamesh collapsed to the ground, gasping for air with a confused look on her face.
Daisuke throws the golden orb to The World, who easily catches it and crushes the golden orb. The shattered golden orb disintegrates into golden powder before merging into The World's body, causing red marks to appear all over his body.
"W-What did you do to me?" Gilgamesh stares at Daisuke, knowing exactly who caused her sudden weakness.
Daisuke gave Gilgamesh a cold glare, giving The World the silent order to finish her off with a taste of her own medicine.
"MUDA!" The World roars as familiar golden ripples appear instead of behind the Stand. It appears around Gilgamesh, then numerous fists emerge, each seemingly covered in multicolored lights. But it doesn't matter; Gilgamesh is struck several times at high speed within a few seconds until her entire body is shattered into a bloody mist. But this seems to infuriate The World, for it continues to strike until even the bloody mist is destroyed.
The World took on a bizarre pose, similar to Dio's, but not quite there. After a few seconds, it disappeared.
All this happened in a few seconds, from the beginning when Gilgamesh threatened Daisuke, then all her powers were stolen and given to The World, to the end, when the Stand murdered Gilgamesh until nothing was left. Not even a drop of blood.
Daisuke looks down at his nodachi, then with just a single thought, the nodachi disintegrates into golden particles and a mental image appears in his mind that connects to the Gate of Babylon. He sees the nodachi among the other treasures in the Gate of Babylon.
He looks around carefully before walking away with unconscious Irisviel still on his shoulder. So as not to be disturbed by the locals who would call the police if they saw him looking like he was kidnapping Irisviel, he is kidnapping Irisviel, and allows Kiritsugu to find his whereabouts.
The smartphone appears in Daisuke's free hand and the drones come out of the Gate of Babylon. He controls the spy drones to look around for anyone. He deactivates all hidden cameras when they are about to record him and with the help of the sky drones, he knows in advance if someone is coming his way. So he can change direction before they can see him.
By the time Kiritsugu or anyone else could figure out the direction he came from. By then, he would have moved on to a new area, making the search even more impossible.
The next day*
Daisuke holds a golden chalice, the Holy Grail, after using Omnifabrication to create it by using Irisviel as the central core material to make it. Seeing how she was the Lesser Grail to begin with, which made it easier for him to connect to the Greater Grail and create the physical form of Heaven's Feel: Cup of Heaven, aka the Third Magic.
Of course, he dealt with Angra Mainyu and ensured nothing went wrong by turning the Holy Grail into Heaven's Feel instead of a wish-granting cup—a wish that would be twisted in the worst possible way, thanks to Angra Mainyu.
Besides that, he retained the most essential feature of the Holy Grail. The ability to summon heroic spirits, whether the original or a version based on the history of those heroic spirits. Along with other extra features that will help him immensely in the long run.
All in all, as he had told Gilgamesh before. It took less than a week to complete his plan. Well, his actual plan was not the made-up one he gave her. Nor did he give her the actual time frame, just a rough estimate. So, she did not know what he had in store for her. But he didn't think she would attack so soon just because he didn't let her reveal her identity to those involved in the Grail War.
At such a time, he should recruit loyal and understandable people. That is, people he doesn't have to worry about betraying for rich bribes and who would betray him for valuable resources, including people who are fearless in the face of death.
It's good that he has the Holy Grail with the power of the Third Magic to summon all the Servants he wants in this universe without being limited to three Command Seals. He can also use it to hide his existence from all eyes. Plus, unlike before with Gilgamesh. He can choose specific heroic spirits to be summoned instead of a random summon.
After staring at the Holy Grail for a few more seconds, he throws it into the Gate of Babylon and walks off in a random direction, looking at the screen of his smartphone, searching for something or someone.
An hour later*
Daisuke scratches his head with a confused expression.
There may have been a slight miscalculation in his reconstruction of the third magic into a physical form for his use. For one thing, before he could get rid of all the Servants and the Masters. They all died; well, the Servants slowly disappeared as they were frozen in place, while the Masters just dropped dead, leaving a cold corpse behind with no sign of injury on their bodies.
The only thing he could think of as a cause for this was that everyone involved in the Holy Grail War had their souls connected to it when it was remade. That's why everyone's soul was taken away. But he couldn't understand why the Servants didn't disappear immediately and slowly fade out of existence.
Why does it feel like everything keeps going in a random direction that he least expects it to? Unless it's Gaia and Alaya trying to influence his future paths. But that shouldn't be the case anymore, with the Holy Grail hiding his existence.
Nevertheless, he has prevented the catastrophe of the Great Fire of Fuyuki. In 1994, a great fire broke out in Fuyuki City due to the end of the Fourth Fuyuki Holy Grail War. This is also the beginning of Shirou Emiya's tragic background, where he loses his parents along with his former identity and is adopted by Kiritsugu.
Daisuke paused for a moment.
Did he save Shirou Emiya from the fate of following the three routes of his future, or did he prevent Shirou from fulfilling his destiny of becoming the Hero of Justice?
Daisuke shakes his head to dismiss these random thoughts and focus on something more important, like figuring out what to do after leaving Fuyuki City since there is no point in him sticking around in this city.
Kind of anticlimactic, if he was honest. Then again, he wasn't looking for an epic showdown. Otherwise, he could have handed Irisviel over to Gilgamesh for whatever plan she had in mind. Of course, he won't mind having an epic showdown, but only when he knows he will win 100%. Otherwise, he will switch to different plans on the spot.
Speaking of plans.
Daisuke rubbed his chin before his eyes lit up as he remembered something.
45 minutes later*
Daisuke let out a cheerful whistle as he finished using Omnifabrication to recreate various books, secret information belonging to this version of Fate world that is impossible to obtain or hasn't been written down yet, as in, not in this time period. All the books are stored in the Gate of Babylon, which he treats more like a place to carry all his stuff, just like Gilgamesh treats it. Well, it's more than just filling it with Noble Phantasms.
Now it's time for him to leave this universe for another because he can tell that the Counter Force has discovered the butterfly effect he caused by the many actions he took since coming to this world that would affect the future. Specifically, he has just destroyed the main reasons why Fate/Stay Night events will not happen after the end of Fate/Zero.
It didn't need him to make anything else from other series to discover the soldiers of the Counter Force wandering around. Mainly to find and kill him before he could cause any more problems.
So, after getting everything he could from this universe. It's time to check out another world that wouldn't hunt him down because he's an outsider and a massive threat to humanity and the planet itself.
Honestly, doing what he did was a huge gamble and putting a huge target on his back. But it's worth it because he's getting what a lot of people have wanted all their lives, even important families who have been trying for generations.
The World appears behind Daisuke, stopping time and allowing Rashomon to rapidly devour space until a rough passageway outside the Fate universe is created, and with the help of the Holy Grail to protect him as he forms numerous souls around him to take the damage as he leaves this universe for another.
Without hesitation. Daisuke jumps into the unstable wormhole that could lead him anywhere, with souls swirling around him in a protective barrier.
When he sees the many souls being erased before his eyes, Daisuke breaks out in a cold sweat but with firm determination and uses Omnifabrication to create a "future" path that would get him out without losing anything important.
The World let out a roar as it began to strike rapidly in all directions, preventing any spatial rifts from appearing too close for his comfort by stopping the time for the spatial rifts to form as he continued to move forward out of here.
After what seems like years, Daisuke can see the end of the passage. Much to his relief, he vows to make other things to help him travel better and safer between the universes. The risk of accidentally killing himself is simply too high. Suppose it weren't for Rashomon, who continues to eat the blockages leading to the other universe, upgrading The World and creating the modified Holy Grail. Finally, he uses omnifabrication to create a fixed "future" that allows him to emerge alive and well. None of this would be possible.
He just hopes he doesn't end up in another parallel version of the Fate universe or some similar universe with a higher level of existence that wants to kill him.
