Chapter 20: Spoonscraping, or The Art of Scraping with Spoons
The Bear King, king of all bears on the planet of Bear Stone Planet, was sitting on his throne thinking about bear stuff when the doors of his hall opened and a bear walked in.
“Bear King! Bear King! We have news on the murderers of your son!” said this bear.
“What is it?????”
“They are heading to the planet of… Smack-Smork!”
“Send the Bearmy there as soon as possible!!” demanded The Bear King, king of all bears on the planet of Bear Stone Planet.
“Send out the Bearmy, Bear Army!” said the messenger bear into a walkie-talkie.
“Sending out the Bearmy, Bear Army!” responded a voice from the other side.
Meanwhile, Mushpuff, Bird, Plagiarize, Snorter, Hoofa, Gumpton, and Klumpkrump were looking out of the elevator into a room which was shaped like a hemisphere (the flat part was on the bottom). It was made of dark rock and magma, and except for a small walkway of rock around the outside, the center of the room was a pool of lava. On the walkways, various creatures from around the universe were scraping the walls with plastic spoons. The temperature in this room was very hot and those of the gang who had the ability to sweat did so.
“Yo, can you explain what this is?” Bird asked the flamingo.
“Yes! But it involves why these spikes are here too, as well as that portal in the sky above them. Many years ago, us flamingos lived in the desert. We had a good many civilizations. Then one day the portal appeared and these spikes fell out at a very high velocity, spraying sand everywhere. This disrupted the desert and caused sandstorms which continue to this day. Don’t question how that works; it’s just logic. Anyways, the dragon flew out of the portal after the spikes and explained that it was a being from another dimension who got forced out. We don’t know the details, it never explained them. It then tunneled under the spikes and forced us to increase the size of its room. The sandstorms were too strong for us and we now must live in the spikes. The spikes weren’t explained either. All prisoners we catch, we bring down here and force them to carve this room with plastic spoons so the dragon is satisfied.”
There was a long silence, and then Hoofa broke it with a “What the fuck?” However, before that question could be processed by everyone else, a sudden rumbling occurred, knocking everyone to the ground. Suddenly, a dragon’s neck (with a head attached) burst out of the lava pool in the center of the room.
“Everyone listen up!” yelled the dragon. All the prisoners in the room did so. “I am very mad! In the 150 years since I came here, y’all have made this room about 0.03 centimeters larger! I demand a showdown between me and the Flamingo Kingo. You must construct a stadium for our showdown! I will provide the specifics to the construction workers. Everyone who doesn’t show up there in a week will be incinerated by my fire!!” The dragon then splashed back down into the lava without further explanation.
