Chapter 108.1
“Since your hair is long, it’ll be inconvenient if it gets tangled.”
He didn’t sound angry or intimidating, but Asella couldn’t understand why Calix was saying this to her.
“Sis, let’s go quickly!”
Mariel’s bright voice rang out, breaking the strange tension that had been building between them.
Finally, Asella moved her feet. She hesitated for a moment, causing her movement to slow down. Suddenly, she felt someone’s gaze on her back and turned around when she was met with a familiar gaze.
“…!”
Asella quickly turned her body around. He had been watching her from behind without leaving his spot.
‘Is he looking at me?’ She wondered.
Although she immediately averted her gaze when their eyes met, it seemed like he had noticed.
“Why me…?”
She couldn’t understand his behavior at all. But more than anything, she couldn’t understand the strange feeling she was experiencing.
Unconsciously, Asella’s grip on the hem of her skirt tightened.

When Asella and Mariel finished getting ready and came out, a carriage was waiting in front of the mansion.
The coachman opened the carriage door with a polite greeting.
“It’s a bit far from the mansion to the riding grounds, so we’ll be traveling by carriage. It’ll take about fifteen minutes.”
As they enjoyed the scenery from the running carriage, they arrived at their destination quickly.
“It’s really spacious! We’re going to ride horses here?”
Mariel couldn’t close her mouth when she got off the carriage. Meanwhile, although Asella didn’t show it, she was also excited by the scenery.
The wind was cool, and the lush greenery of the land screamed spring.
“Horses!”
Mariel’s mouth widened even more when she saw the horses being led by the stable boy. She ran up to the foal, smaller than the others, and clapped her hands together.
“It’s so pretty!”
The horse’s long eyelashes fluttered up and down. Mariel was completely captivated by its clear and innocent eyes.
“You can touch it if you want.”
While Mariel was getting friendly with the horse, Asella looked at the other horses and tilted her head.
“But why are there three horses?”
One of them, the black horse, looked familiar as if she had seen it somewhere before. Just then, the answer came from another person.
“Have you been waiting long?”
Calix, dressed perfectly in equestrian attire, walked in with his black leather gloves clasped tightly around his hands.
