Chapter 93: incident on the train
When Irina got her own wand, Lynn had already found Gale, the house-elf who had been waiting for her at the junction of Diagon Alley and Knockturn Alley, and returned to Rohr Castle through Gale's Apparition.
There were only half a month left before the start of school. Over the past ten days, Lynn practiced magic and alchemy during the day, and in the afternoons, he and his mother, Rowena, enjoyed walking through the Muggle streets. It was very pleasant.
Three days before school started, Lynn immersed himself in his studies and spent an afternoon refining a wooden box. There were two locks hanging on the front of the box, one of which could be touched, while the other exuded a cold aura.
These two locks were originally just the most common combination locks in the Muggle world. However, under Lynn's alchemical enchantments, they could not be opened through magic or force. If the password was entered incorrectly or a lockpick tried to destroy the combination lock, the box would become completely sealed and could not be opened again.
Of course, to prevent the wooden box from being damaged, Lynn also enchanted the box with numerous alchemical defense circles. Even a powerful explosion spell couldn't destroy the box!
"But what is the purpose of this wooden box?" Rowena asked, somewhat confused.
Lynn had spent an entire afternoon toying with such a mysterious wooden box, which made Rowena feel a little strange.
Lynn put the locked wooden box into his backpack, stretched out his hands, and said, "I'll use this after school starts. Unfortunately, it took too long. I don't have time to go out and play today. We'll go tomorrow morning; school is about to start, and I'm too lazy to study anything."
Rowena nodded happily.
Time passed quickly, and soon it was the first day of school.
Lynn arrived at King's Cross Station through Gale's Apparition, walked through the barrier between Platform 9 and Platform 10 as usual, and boarded the Hogwarts Express.
As on the previous two occasions, he went to the innermost compartment of the train.
Ten minutes later, Irina opened the door to the compartment and entered.
"Good morning, senior Lynn!"
Irina greeted, placed her luggage down, and sat across from Lynn.
After fighting side by side at the end of last year and shopping for books at Diagon Alley, the two seemed to know each other much better than before.
Not long after, Hermione and the Weasley twins boarded the carriage one by one, and the five of them filled the compartment.
"Hmm, did we forget something?"
Irina looked at the Hogwarts Express train, about to depart, and said with some confusion.
She always felt like she had forgotten something.
"Did you bring all your textbooks and magical supplies?" Hermione helped Irina check.
Irina checked her bag, then gently touched the obviously bulging pocket and said confidently, "I brought them all. Envee is also in my pocket."
"Then nothing should be forgotten, right?" Hermione scratched her head. "Let's wait until you remember."
Irina nodded, "Yes, it's probably not anything important!"
The train slowly started heading north.
After a while, the Fat Lady, who was selling snacks, entered the compartment, pushing a trolley.
As before, most of these snacks came from Honeydukes.
However, in the past two school years, Lynn had often used the Marauder's Map to go to Hogsmeade with the Weasley twins. He had grown tired of eating Honeydukes' snacks, so he only bought one to satisfy his hunger.
Irina bought many sweets and shared them with everyone.
"Thanks to Lockhart, I have money to buy snacks!"
While Hermione was immersed in eating, Irina winked at Lynn and whispered.
Irina knew that Hermione was currently a fan of Lockhart, so she deliberately avoided her and didn't let her hear that she was secretly making fun of her idol.
Hearing this, Lynn couldn't help but laugh.
"But I don't think he cares."
Lynn smiled and whispered back.
Just when the two were flirting, a sudden outburst of exclamations came from the next carriage.
And just as everyone was confused, Hermione also exclaimed, "Look out the window!"
Everyone immediately looked out of the compartment window and saw a flying blue car next to the Hogwarts Express in the air, with Harry and Ron inside the flying car.
However, things didn't look good for Harry. The flying car flipped, throwing him out of the car. He was suspended in the air, clinging to the car door.
This was the consequence of not wearing a seatbelt!
Driving erratically makes loved ones cry!
Lynn couldn't help but shake his head.
"Damn it!"
At that moment, Irina looked at Harry and Ron in the sky and couldn't help but exclaim.
She had finally remembered what she had forgotten earlier!
She had forgotten about Harry and Ron, her two good friends!
Irina knew that Harry and Ron had been magically sealed by the house-elf Dobby, so they had opted to take the Flying Car to catch the Hogwarts Express.
During the summer holidays, she had been thinking of taking advantage of these two friends and letting them board the Hogwarts Express normally, but she hadn't expected to forget about it while having so much fun during the summer break.
"Wingardium Leviosa!"
Irina quickly leaned out of the train window and cast the Levitation Charm on Harry.
After getting the wand most suited to her, Irina's magic power increased to a new level. Harry immediately flew back into the car under the influence of the Levitation Charm. In fact, since Irina had used too much force, Harry's head struck the roof of the car with a loud bump.
"Cingulum strictum!" Irina shouted.
Harry and Ron in the car heard Irina's words and quickly fastened their seatbelts to avoid being thrown out of the erratic flying car again.
"They… how dare they? They're definitely going to be expelled by Professor McGonagall. It's over!" Hermione was so anxious she stamped her foot. Having read the laws of the magical world, she naturally understood how many rules Harry and Ron had violated.
Although, influenced subtly by everyone last year, Hermione no longer resisted breaking school rules as much, this time Harry and Ron had violated not only school rules but also laws of the magical world!
Seeing that her best friend was about to be expelled, how could Hermione not be anxious?
"Don't worry, as long as Professor Dumbledore is here, Harry and the others won't be expelled. Don't forget, we faced Voldemort three months ago and received praise from Professor Dumbledore! Even if the Ministry of Magic wants to expel Harry and the others, they'll have to consider public opinion!"
Irina patted Hermione on the back and comforted her.
