The Ger's Contract Marriage [BL]

Chapter 6: Making Plans

Xu Feng exited the reception room with excitement at the upcoming marriage. Not because he was eager to be married or have a child as a man—he was still completely in disbelief about this fact.

The health education classes in the senior high schools of modern-day Dongmen didn't leave him with any anticipation for childbirth. They were basically structured to scare students away from anything sexual with graphic photos and videos of sexually transmitted diseases, young mothers struggling, and birthing complications.

Instead, Xu Feng was thrilled about owning this beautiful property and living in seclusion here in the mountains for the rest of his life. Maybe he would do some traveling around ancient Donghua?

The original owner had never left Sun Village and didn't know much about their country. There was so much to explore and learn. He would need to learn how to cover up the mole on his forehead first.

If the mole was disregarded, Xu Feng could easily pass as a man from this era. The only difference between this body and his body in his last life was the mole and the long silver hair the original owner had.

The presence of the third gender wasn't the only thing that made this parallel world unique from his own ancient Donghua. While silver hair wasn't common here either, it was instead a sign of great beauty and good lineage.

Xu Feng's silver locks were probably the reason the madam of the Xuan family would consider marrying a village ger to her precious son and heir of the Xuan family. Even if the marriage would be temporary, the union would yield children with noble bloodlines from both sides.

"Young Master Xu, are you done?" A shy San asked as she and Si peered back into the receiving room as though they were hoping to catch another glimpse of the handsome Xuan Young Master, Xuan Yang.

"Mmhmm," Xu Feng replied in amusement at the cute girls who were ready to throw themselves at their young master in a heartbeat.

With his good mood, Xu Feng wanted to spend time in nature and use his wood abilities more. When he had the chance in the last few days, he would use his abilities until they were drained.

The wood attribute seemed to help with his healing and expedite the process.

"The young master of the Xuan family doesn't seem to have brought any servants with him, why don't you both stay and serve him for the rest of the day?"

Xu Feng proposed shamelessly, knowing both girls wanted to spend as much time as possible with Xuan Yang and even Xuan Jian, his closest servant.

There were only a handful of servants that lived at the Nanshan Village estate full-time.

Including Si and San, the number was less than 10. Four were guards, and the other three worked in the kitchen and did menial labor like cleaning, laundry, chopping wood, feeding the livestock, and caring for any produce produced in the estate.

The steward for the property didn't live on the estate permanently and only came by to manage the property every few weeks as he managed two other Xuan properties in rural areas. The two girls were the best choice to serve the young master.

"Will Master Xu be alright alone?" San turned back away from the door, clearly conflicted. She obviously wanted to stay, but would it be a good idea to leave the distinguished guest alone?

San and Si weren't yet aware that this distinguished guest was soon going to be their young mistress.

"Stay, I'm just going to sit by the lake and watch the water. If you are curious, you can come to find me later. Besides, it's not often the Xuan young master comes to Nanshan. Right?"

San still didn't seem completely convinced, and she weighed Xu Feng's words slowly, trying to find some clue to help her make the "right" decision.

"It's only a few hours until supper time, and we can meet up then."

After this statement, San looked up at the sky and then at the shadows that graced the ground. Xu Feng was right, it was only a couple of hours till dinner time, and he could be left alone for such a short time.

'He wasn't a child that couldn't be left alone, right?'

After gaining some free time, Xu Feng perched in a quiet corner beside the lake as he took in the mountain views. Although he seemed close to the mountains, he knew from San and Si, that from beyond the fence, it would take at least a 30-to-45-minute walk to reach the nearest mountain.

The air in this parallel world was purer than that of 21st-century Dongmen. Especially the air in this mountain village. Xu Feng felt alive and refreshed in a way he had never felt in his previous life.

His wood ability had its role in this as well, but Xu Feng couldn't accurately gauge how much it affected him. Instead, he spent the next few hours planning his life in the Nanshan estate.

As soon as the marriage contract was signed, Xu Feng would need to practice some of the original owner's skills. Things like reading and writing the ancient script, weaving baskets, embroidery, sewing, and cooking dishes left to him by the original owner's ger-dad were skills he wanted to know if he had retained.

Whether he retained these skills or not, he would need to use some of the common knowledge from his own world to improve his life in this new world. Finding a simple way to make money would be top priority.

Even if he received this property as compensation for the contract marriage, and could live as a small landlord, the future was always uncertain. Anything could happen. As a child of the 21st century, Xu Feng knew it was best to have multiple streams of income if possible.

Nanshan village was located in the North of Donghua, closer to the capital, Jinghua, and had cold winters with nothing growing during that time. Building greenhouses for his residence would be on his to-do list for next winter.

It was already December, and while there was no snow yet, the weather was pretty chilly with unpredictable winds. There was still some greenery that could be seen, but according to San, this would change in the next couple of weeks.
